Description of Work: Cleaned and stained a 20x20x9 Pergola, a 30 x 6 Shadowbox Privacy Fence & a small back porch. The back porch required stripping & sanding prior to staining. |My husband and I have cleaned & stained the pergola & back porch by ourselves in the past. We know the work & time involved in the job. Not only were we pleased with the price of the work but we were thrilled with the results. All our our expectations were exceeded. Still looks great 11 months later.

Description of Work: They came out and stained my 20x15 deck. Initial contact was very informative. They were a little lower than the other bid I had received. Day of work arrived on time, covered the house up so stain would not go in places it was not supposed to, and No spots were missed.

 + -1 moreI was very pleased with the price, how hard the person worked and the quality of the end result. The rain coat should last for 3 years before it will need to be reapplied. It's raining while I'm writing this review -- the water is beading up on the deck boards.
Description of Work: The owner came to our home to measure the deck and check it's condition. The deck was a year old and had not yet been treated. We wanted a natural look so requested a rain coat product without any stain. The man who did the actual work came out 3 times. On the first visit he cleaned the deck and then let it dry a few days. The second visit he sanded all the wood. On the third and final visit he applied the rain coat.

 + -1 moreThey did the deck last summer and we were pleased with the results at the time. They fixed many broken boards, but left one with a very large knot hole in it that we did not notice until they had finished. It is in a very bad place where our deck chair leg often falls in the whole and causes whoever is sitting in the chair to fall out. The deck looked great, but the deck is fading badly now and boards are popping back up. We do have dogs that are very h****** the deck though, so I am not sure that these problems could have been avoided. We had them out more recently to finish the fence. I was disappointed the guy stained the fence and we had a downpour that night. The fence looks good, but the stain color is off from the rest of the fence. I don't know if this was because of the stain or the rain, but I was not as pleased as I would have liked to have been for the money that we spent.

Description of Work: Extremely pleased with their work. Always on time and called before arrival. They power washed and sealed our deck. Considerate and professional -- covered flowers and siding to protect them from the sealant. We're now enjoying our what looks like a brand new deck. Would not hesitate to recommend NU Wood to anyone.

 + 1 moreWe were very nervous about staining our deck because it's condition was rough and it was the "old-fashioned" red stain, and we wanted to change the color to a golden brown. I had my initial doubts because with their before/after pictures I was afraid they were over-promising. Without a doubt they over-delivered! They did an excellent job powerwashing, and their staining was professionally done (no stains on bricks, walk-ways, etc) and after 18 months it looks as good as the first day. Very impressed. Trust this company!

 + -1 moreThe sales pitch was great. The problem: The stain didn't fully absorb. If you have a day out on the deck the stain is all on the bottom of your socks. It's been 6 months now and the problem is not resolved.
