Description of Work: I contacted Mike Perry Construction, as I saw he offered free estimates on his website, after a large truck demolished our brick mailbox. The truck driver's insurance company needed either receipts for the rebuild or an estimate to issue payment to us (as the home owner). Mr. Perry called me and inquired about the damage that was done, and I told him that I would need an estimate that covered the removal of the old mailbox, materials to build a new one (including a custom address plaque of concrete) and the labor to rebuild. Mr. Perry submitted the handwritten estimate directly to the insurance company, cc'ing me on the email. I had not viewed the estimate until it he cc'ed me on the email to the insurance adjuster. Mr. Perry had indicated he would not be able to do the work for a few weeks, which at that time was OK with me and my husband. The insurance company issued the check for repairs to me, and in the meantime we decided to not rebuild a brick mailbox, but instead buy one ourselves. Since we did not plan to use Mr. Perry I did not reply to his email asking when we would like to schedule to have the mailbox repaired. At this point I had never signed a contractor or scheduled an appointment at any time. Today I received the following email: From: MIKE PERRY [mailto:perry4x4@msn.com] Sent: Wednesday, October 11, 2017 11:55 AM Subject: Re: Mailbox rebuild If I do not hear from you today about claim #H7R7453 submitted on Aug 22, 2017 to Travelers Insurance I will file fraud charges against you. I can play your games too. I will win! Mike Perry (502)419-0201 Cell (502)618-3148 Fax Perry4x4@msn.com [*** Link removed ***] Not only are fraud charges completely unfounded, this is borderline harassment. In NO WAY is deciding to not use a company after being issues a free estimate constitute "fraud". I have never been so insulted by a someone because we decided against his estimate. An estimate (especially a free one) is in no way a legal binding contract. His attitude and language of "I will win" is almost threatening. Please STAY AWAY from this contractor.

Description of Work: The job was to tuck point the bad joints in and old brick chimney to eliminate leakage from rainstorms . Mike and his crew repaired all the bad joints, re caulked the flashing , and sealed the entired chimney. During some transition time between tasks , Mike repaired some bad joints in my patio pavers. The chimney no longer shows any evidence of leakage.

+ -1 moreWe were very pleased with the work that Mike Perry provided. He has replaced two of our mailboxes due to car accidents in the last 6 months. He came out the same day as the accidents and provided us with estimates to be submitted to the insurance companies. He had us a temporary mailbox put up immediately. He ordered us a new address stone and as soon as it was available he had us a new mailbox installed. He does exceptional work and has an eye for the smallest details. We enjoyed working with him, he is very professional and personable man.

Description of Work: Mike Perry came to my home and spent quite awhile looking at my job to be done. Said he would email me back with price. I never recewived the email for a quote. After repeatly telling me he had sent one, and my asking for the quote again and again, I gave up. Very nelligence on returning bid or other correspondence. I hired and nice young man, Brandon Morris ( Louisville Masonry). He did a wonderful job and was priced as the other quotes were. I had about 4-5 bids. I' m not sure if Louisville Masonry is a member of Angie's list or not but I would highly recommmend him. My job consisted of retaining walls made of the heavy (70+ lbs.) of block....Lani Chilton

Description of Work: I am writing this review in regards to the only customer who filed a complaint with Mike Perry Masonry. I am writing this review for anyone who forms an opinion based on this feedback. Mike Perry was injured during the time frame this review was submitted and was hospitalized with multiple surgeries over the course of 2 years. I am his brother who am also self employed and a reputable mason in the kentuckiana area. I had tried to help Mike perform his duties during his down period when i was available to do so as a loving brother should... Mike is a very reputable and hard working family man who is highly recommended by local masonry suppliers and customers as well. I am not my "brothers keeper" but it hurts to see him struggle with keeping himself together due to an injury and doesnt need anymore setbacks in this economy. The quality of his work speaks for itself...

Description of Work: I need some repair/replacement of my front steps and porch. Called for an estimate and Mike gave me a time, but didn't show up or call. When I called back he said he would come the next day. He came and looked at the project and said he would email the estimate and some photos of his work. Never got an email. 2 phone messages over the next week went unreturned.
