Fast and reasonable estimate when called. Worked with us and the insurance company. Recommended great colored shingles. Also supplied reference homes to view considered shingles. Removed old roof and replaced felt paper, aluminum drip, re-flashed chimney, replaced plumbing vent flashings and passive air vents, also had some wood repair that was needed. Debris was cleaned up well (no nails left!) and we recieved 2 year warranty. The estimate process went great and the workers were fabulous in unbelievble heat. I would have liked to receive a follow-up phone call to see if everything went well, but we never got one. Still a good company and I would use them again.

We had a roof leak and some flashing problems. We wanted to know the price difference between repair and full replacement. The estimator, scheduled for Monday, called and asked to come on Sunday b/c he was not sure about the weather for the coming week. He was wonderful. He took time to show me the problems I called about and some other issues also. He also gave me a full list of topics to cover when anyone looks at a roof--acknowledging we should get other estimates too. The estimate was in line with 2 of the 4 roofers we called. (1 no show, 1 really expensive and impersonal, 2 about the same.) Once we chose a shingle, the roofers came the next business day and worked from 8 am to 7 pm. They nearly finished the entire project. They left the entire yard clean and debris free. The next day they had to come for about 2 hours to finish-up. They left the entire yard clean--I found no nails, shingles, tar paper! The roof looks GREAT! There were no surprises in the final cost.

After battling our insurance for months, (which a member of the Middletown staff took care of for the most part) we decided to use Middletown due to the excellent service they provided. They were very on top of things and were as helpful as they could possibly be. The workers arrived on time, explained everything to us and began working. They were done in a day and the clean up job was amazing. I have yet to find one single nail in our yard!

Called for roof estimate and was told someone would contact me for inspection. Several days later I was contacted and told he would take a look in a few days and I didn't need to be present for the inspection. Never heard from anyone again. It's now been 3 weeks and I have contracted with another roofing Co. I never recontacted because I won't do business with a company that I have to call more than once for a job! They lost a $14,689.00 insurance job!!!

Placed two calls to this company requesting an estimate for soffit and skylight replacement and roof repair. Both times someone was to call back to set up an appointment. No one did.

They were very professional. Showed up when they said they would. They were not the least expensive, but I do think they represented the most value. If I had any problems, they corrected the situation immediately.

In April 2005 I commissioned Middletown to repair a leak around my chimney. This entailed re-shingling a portion of the roof and the repair/waterproofing of the chimney. The chimney repair cost $731 of the total $1,600 job cost. At the time I was lead to believe that applying a special type of cement was the correct and permanent way to fix the leak. Three years later the leak is back and I find the material, which was installed by a Middletown Roofing contractor, is paper thin and peeling or cracked over the entire crown (top) of the chimney. Upon calling Middletown, I spoke to the General Manager and was told there was nothing he could do as the contract stated that there was a 1 year warranty. On 12/5/08 I wrote the owner, Dan Brown, a letter explaining the situation, acknowledging he had no legal obligation, but I felt he had a moral obligation to help me out. As of this day, five weeks after my letter, Mr. Brown has not had the courtesy to respond to my letter. I must point out that I have been a customer of Middletown Roofing since 1992 when they re-roofed a previous home and they have also done all the work on my current home of 5 years. I m not a new customer! Ironically, if you look under the yellow pages for chimney repair, Middletown is listed when in fact, they farm out the chimney work. The General Manager recommended and gave me the phone number for another chimney repair company that wasn t even listed in the phone book. Another chimney repair company is currently doing the work for over $100.00 less money with a 15 year guarantee. Obviously, I will never use, or recommend Middletown Roofing again. With their contract, you re on your own after one year. I now find that I must have the repair done a second time (correctly) and must also incur the cost of interior repair.

I made an appointment on Friday afternoon. The receptionist said someone would be at my house "the first of next week." She also said that I didn't need to be there, and they would bill me for "a $295 job." The next Monday, I came home from work to see no work was completed. I left a voice mail, as the office was closed. I did not hear back from anyone by lunch the following day. So, I called again. There was no real apology, and a different receptionist said a crew would be out on Wednesday. Wednesday morning, after I had gotten to work, I received a call from a repairman who was on his way to my house. He said that I would need to come home to sign the work order. I got home, signed it, and was informed that because there were 3 pieces of aluminum to be nailed back, not 1, my cost was now $400. I did not feel like debating, so I went ahead and paid with a check. $100 dollars to nail back some aluminum is not a fair price. All I can recommend is to do all the small stuff yourself, because it seems like these people will nickle and dime you.

The two roofers arrived exactly on time, politely looked over the house, including inside where the leak was visible. They then went up on the roof, identified the problem, went about repairing it, came down and reported to me, and left.

They did a good job. They were the one company who came out and spent a lot of time on the estimate side of it. It was a competative price, certainly not the cheapest, but they were good.

Very well overall, but there was piles of roofing grit all inside the garage. Really not their fault.

Timely quotation. No pressure sales pitch from knowledgeable, friendly guy. Came as promised and finished the job, complete with great clean-up, in one day. Place was a mess during the process and I was surprised at how quickly they completely cleaned everything up. Roof looks great! I would recommend highly.

This company is very professional. I thought that they gave a very quick, fair estimate. The quality of work was very good and it was done in a timely manner. They pay good attention to detail, in the estimate and workmanship.

Came a day earlier than expected. Gave call before arriving. Worked quickly and were courteous.

The estimator (Parker) came out quickly and gave a lower estimate than the competition. He also proposed a better technical solution; he put down ice guard instead of normal roofing felt. This was due to the low slope in the roof. The only hitch came in scheduling. I wanted the job done soon (within 1-2 weeks) so I could also get the inside repaired before Thanksgiving (family was coming over). Parker originally said they were scheduling 1-2 weeks out, but I THOUGHT he said he could have someone at my house the following Monday. That was not the case and when Monday came and went I contacted them and they apologized and said it was a miscommunication. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Anyway, the job got done two weeks later. (Parker did have a tarp put over the leaking section in the mean time.) The job was done in one day and looks good.

The company has stated numerous times that my request is in "a file" and that they will get to it as soon as possible. It is hard to believe that their estimators would be over a month behind on getting work done. Especially with it being fall and not optimal time to replace a roof. The attitude was never outstanding and no one has ever responded with me initiating contact.

The window frame was not properly sealed & is now rotting, the roof & gutter were damaged while replacing the fascia, there are numerous nail pops & the roof leaks around the flashing & vent ridge. After settlement, I asked Middletown Roofing to redo the repairs and fix the leaking roof. The person who came to look at my home agreed that there were issues with the work they had done. A week later, I received a phone call quoting me a price for redoing their work. Their warranty does not convey to me as the new owner. I now have $1300 in water damage to my family room ceiling & have to pay another company to redo all the work they did plus install a drip edge which was not installed when they replaced the roof. I was also advised by my insurance company to remove the ridge vent since it and the flashing were improperly installed. This company does not do quality work nor do they stand behind their work.

Arrived on time - and finished job on time.

I called to inquire about water damage to walls around skylight. A rep came the next day and provided an explanation of the problem and recommended a replacement skylight. The estimate/contract came in the mail and once returned they began work immediately. The removed and replaced the skylight quickly and efficiently in a couple of hours. To date I have not found any problems with the work.

Parker Stodgill gave an ''on the spot'' estimate. He gave us addresses of homes with the shingles we were interested in, allowing us to see realistic examples. The project started on the day promised & was complete in 2 days. The company GM touched base with me before & after project to ensure satisfaction. Overall I was very pleased.

THEY ONLY REPLACED THREE SHINGLES, BUT THEY CHARGED A FLAT FEE WHICH I THOUGHT WAS HIGH. THEY SENT A THANK YOU NOTE WHEN THEY WERE DONE AND I THOUGHT THAT WAS NICE. THEY WERE VERY RESPONSIVE. I JUST THOUGHT THEY WERE A LITTLE HIGH.

THE SKYLIGHT WAS LEAKING AND THE GUY CAME OUT AND FIXED IT. EIGHT MONTHS LATER IT WAS LEAKING AGAIN AND THEY TRIED TO CHARGE US AGAIN. THE GUY SAID THE FIRST GUY WHO CAME TO FIX IT DIDN'T DO IT RIGHT. WE JUST WANT THEM TO STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK. THEY ARE THE ONE'S WHO INSTALLED THE SKYLIGHT ORIGINALLY.

I DIDN'T EVEN SEE ANY OF THEM WHEN THEY DID THE WORK, WE WEREN'T HERE. I THINK THE PRICE IS WHY I PICKED THEM, BECAUSE I CALLED A FEW DIFFERENT PLACES AND THEY WERE THE CHEAPEST. IT WAS JUST A LITTLE AREA AROUND THE EXHAUST THAT HAD PEELED UP ALLOWING WATER DOWN.

THEY PROMPTLY CALLED ME BACK AFTER WE HAD A STORM AND A LOT OF OUR OTHER NEIGHBORS HAVE STILL NOT HAD A RESPONSE FROM THEIR COMPANY AND WE'RE ALREADY FINISHED. THEY CAME OUT TWO DAYS AFTER A STORM AND REPAIRED OUR ROOF.
