Michael's Floor Coverings

We have 2 Pomeranian's and 2 young children that dirty our carpeted living rm and small hallway. I personally cleaned these myself but with pet stains, it requires a professional suction vac to draw the stain from deep within the area. All other bought or rented vacs can't do this, so I am left with carpet professionals, which is fine by me....I used Michael's carpet cleaners because of their Angie's List reviews. I use them roughly once every 6 months. However, 3 cleanings ago I had a young man come to my door to clean my carpet and he said he bought the company from Michael. OK...Well... the carpet needs cleaned...He has now cleaned our carpets 3 times and every time we are disappointed..Remember with Michael it was 6 months between cleanings...Now, this new owner leaves and by the time the carpets are-DRY-they are still dirty and we are left with stain lines spanning the length of the rooms. The last time we used him he was obviously in a hurry and upon striking up a conversation I found out that he had another appointment, but a bigger $$$ client that was 20 minutes from my appointment. The $$$ clients location was 15 minutes away....My wife and I were not happy...He will not be back to our home.

Did the carpet cleaning promptly and moved things out of the way and then put them right back.

My kitty had an accident on the carpet so they cleaned and sprayed it and after the neutralizer smell dissipates it is like brand new, no more kitty smell which is usually hard to get out, but they did! Very punctual and called when they were on their way. I used this service last year and was very satisfied so I called them again.

They were professional from scheduling to performing the service. They were on time and did a great job. I will use them again in the future!

From the first call to the office to schedule an appointment I was treated very professionally. Everyone I spoke to was very helpful. I scheduled an appointment for cleaning. The worker showed up ON TIME and went right to work. He was very careful and finished quickly. He cleaned my area rugs here rather then take them back to the shop. The carpets and rugs looked great when finished.

Hands down, the best experience I have ever had with carpet cleaning services. Starting with my initial call, the young lady who helped me was so friendly and professional. I was amazed at how quickly I was able to get an appointment this time of year. It was just a few days. The gentleman who came to do the carpets was on time (actually a little early, but called first to see that it was okay). He was really knowledgeable and paid close attention to the problem areas I pointed out. He was friendly and went about his work with a very pleasant attitude. I was amazed at the outcome. He managed to get out an ink stain that has survived two previous cleaning attempts and removed every other stain I had pointed out. It was obvious that he takes pride in his work and I found that very refreshing. I was also pleased at how fast my carpets dried. ( A previous experience with a national chain had left my carpets so wet that it took a week and a half to completely dry.) My carpets just felt damp for the remainder of the day and were mostly dry by that evening. I can honestly say that the outcome exceeded my expectations. I would have never expected the ink stain to be gone. I will never use another company. This company's pricing is a really good value!

We scheduled and had to cancel our appointment with Michael's a couple of times due to emergencies, etc. Finally, we were about to have an open house on Sunday so I called Michael's on Wednesday to see if they could come before the weekend. They happily scheduled us for Friday morning at 10:30am. The technician arrived right on time and went right to work. Once he pulled the carpet away and saw what was needed, he explained everything he had to do and how long it would take. We left him there to do the job and went out to run errands. He called a few hours later and told us he was finished and would be leaving soon. We came back to meet him and check out the work. The floors looked and sounded very solid.

We were preparing to list our house for sale, and the carpets throughout our house needed a good cleaning prior to listing. I had never called a carpet cleaner in Louisville (only live here 3 years), so I turned to Angieslist, read good things about Michael's, and figured I'd give them a shot. They were able to accommodate my tight schedule (needed carpets cleaned prior to listing going live), and the cleaning went great. The cleaner called before arriving, showed up on time, finished the job in approximately 2 hours, and the carpets looked great,. In short, Michael's was everything I expected from a professional carpet cleaner.

We were very disappointed in the professionalism of the technician. On the day he provided service, he spent an usual amount of time on his cell phone. As he was setting up for the process, I watched him continue a very long conversation on his cell phone outside near the truck which delayed the start of our job. A short time later, while he was cleaning the basement carpeting, he was again on a long phone conversation. About 20 minutes after that, he was again engaged in a very long phone conversation. I wish he had paid as much attention to my carpeting as he was to the person on the other end of his phone. He told us that with pre-treatment of pet stains that 90% of the stain and odor would be removed. Well, he was correct on the odor, but the stains are still evident. For the most part the cleaning was adequate to our needs. Another item. I was told by the advertisement on Angie's list that furniture would be replaced to the original location. This did not occur. He left the dining room chairs in the kitchen, and several other chairs out of place. He seemed in a hurry to leave. Also, I asked for a written receipt to indicate that the work had been completed. He told me that I would receive one by E-mail. That has not happened to date. I will not use Michael's Carpet Cleaning again.

The technician called and asked if he could arrive ahead of schedule. Once here, he quoted me the price which I had received from Customer Service on the day that I had called to schedule. I showed the technician the rooms and hall and let him know that furnishings didn't have to moved. The carpeting had no prior stains other than traffic in the common areas. I'd say that it took no more then 30-45 minutes. The tech also passed the carpet in the living room. Very professional, courteous, prompt.......did a great job!

The job went really well. The 2 guys that showed up were very professional and very polite. They did a great job. There was a special through another company for installation as I bought the carpeting from them. I don't know about the quality of the carpets as I bought it from another company, but the quality of the workmanship with Michael's Floor Coverings was great. I would use them again in the future if need be.

Had used other carpet cleaners prior to Michael's and was not satisfied with the others. Coit in particular used a stain resistant spray that was improperly applied and left black streaks in carpet after a month. Michael's did a great job of cleaning the carpet and was able to get black streaks out. Service tech guy was prompt, friendly and very professional. We are still using Michael's Carpet Cleaning and I recommend them to anyone.

I called and made an appt., the owner came out at the appointed time, he went over everything with me (what I wanted done), told me his price and I accepted on the spot. He threw in a hall runner for free! He did send me a typed proposal which I accepted.

Very professional customer service and cleaning staff. Great price and service. Carpets cleaned very well. House furnishings were handled with care. All equipment mounted in truck like Stanley Steemers. I have always used Stanley Steemer in the past, but will use Michaels Carpet Cleaning in the future.

He was on time and very professional. He didn't give me very many options on what I could do and he had very few samples. It wasn't what I was looking for. They were cheaper than the company I went with.

They were 30 min. late, but other than that, things were great. The carpet was professionally installed and looks very good.
