Description of Work: We called on a Sunday afternoon re: an issue with our toilet and were told someone would call us back, but they never did.

Description of Work: I called to get an estimate to install a gas line in a residence. Since I work I told the operator I would be available after 4:30. I was told there would be a service charge to come after 4:30. Other plumbing companies that provided estimates did not charge a fee and they came after 4:30. The operator seemed indifferent to meeting my scheduling needs.

Description of Work: The plumber was on time, came in and accessed the problem with my water heater. He went to the truck to see if he had a part and returned in a few minutes. Upon looking at the water heater again he resolved the problem in just about 2 minutes. It was a safety switch which had either overheated or was going bad that caused the heater not to work. He was only there about 15 minutes, but he got my water heater going and heating water again. I was happy with the outcome.

Description of Work: Signed up for semi annual maintenance service. They did a complete check of my HVAC system and replaced the air filter. Service was on time and very professional.

Description of Work: Back during the summer heat my daughters ac unit stopped working. This company was very prompt and very honest on the issue. The unit only need cleaning. I would highly recommend this company.

Description of Work: We have had a plumbing and heating a/c contract with Maeser for years. They are always professional, competent and courteous. They recently did my bi annual service on our heating and cooling units. They additionally fixed a leaking pipe in the basement. Jeff was out yesterday to replace an a/c valve. They always are fair and courteous and ensure that the customer is completely informed. If possible, they give you options and fairly price and guarantee their service. I would recommend hiring this professional company.

Description of Work: we suscribed to Maeser's preferred customer list because we had good service from the plumbing dept. so when our A/C needed freon we called them for service. unfortunately we were very disappointed with the estimate which seemed to change every time the technician spoke. prices ranging from $180- $300-$3000. then the technician told us it would cost $167 even if he did nothing . He was here 10 minutes at this time. We called the office and they reduced the charge to $69 for a service charge. we will not be using Maeser ever again . we definitely felt that we were getting ripped off.

Description of Work: Very professional, fast and courteous. They were able to work me into their schedule while working around mine. They replaced two faucet stems, two faucet handles, and the main shut-off valve. I thought the price was a bit high but in truth I have nothing to benchmark it against. I will use them again.

Description of Work: Maeser diagnosed a faulty gas furnace in one of my rental properties. They arrived quickly and on time. They were willing to conduct business with me from a distance since I wasnt in town. they found multiple problems and gave me the option of either repairing or replacing the 13 year old furnace for $1250 or $2500, respectively. They recommended replacement because of the overall condition and I went with their recommendation. When they realized they didnt have the right furnace in stock for the price they quoted me, they gave me a more efficient/expensive model at no charge. Earl did a great job installing, and working with Terry in billing was a pleasure. They made extra accomodations for me since I was traveling out of the country at the time and did a fantastic job communicating directly with my tenants and with me. A+

Description of Work: Checked to see why water heater was not heating the water and made adjustments. It has been working fine since.

Description of Work: They came out and filled up the Freon in my A/C unit. He is also ordering a part for my A/C unit. Everything went great.

Description of Work: I returned home from out-of-state and had only luke warm water. I thought the problem might be my water heater as I turn it to "vacation" upon leaving for any length of time. I also had a toilet constantly running. Two servicemen came and looked at the water heater and jiggled a few places and said I'd have hot water the next day. They put a new part in the toilet and that did fix it. But I had to call in a second plumber when I never got hot water to find out I had a massive hot water leak (50,000 gallons per the water company) under the slab of my home. The Maeser servicemen never checked the water meter which for plumbers is unprofessionable.

Description of Work: I have NEVER had to deal with such a terrible group of condecending jerks in my whole life. They put on a great show for the estimate, talked like they were really interested in making the job that I had turn out wonderful. I had estimates in the past that I was unhappy with and Maeser assured me that they would do a professional job. That was the end of that and the troubles began. I was assured that the person who was appointed to the job was a specialist with older houses. I asked when he came in if he had done a lot of older houses and he replied 'a little of this and a little of that'. NOT the older house specialist that I was promised. There were so many things that were done differently than I was told in the estimate that it ended up costing me over $1000 more in repairs that the company caused. I tried to call them and see if someone would come over and see what all had been done and compare it to what they said that they would do in the estimate and I was treated VERY rudely. The guy who did the estimate would not even call me back, and the manager told me that as long as the work was up to code that is what I get. The inspector came in and did not even go downstairs and check where they connected all of the work. The guy from Maeser told me that he guessed that it depended on his (the inspector) mood as to whether he did a good inspection. I had already had uneasy feelings about the quality of work and I guess that they knew the inspector and had some kind of deal going, so now I am not sure if it is really good work or not. But is sure has a sticker saying it passed inspection. I had plumbing put in in an attic and through the roof and the inspector did not check that either. They sat a ladder in my tub and did not use a drop cloth the whole time. I had to clean every day after they left because they left a HUGE mess everytime they were there. They did not put the upstairs bathroom in the same area where I discussed it with them during the apprraisal. I now have to re-do my upstairs because where the guy put it leaves me not even a walkway to get to my bed. He also put the bath in the wrong place and when I saw it and asked him to put the pipes in the wall discussed during the estimate and he told me that I would have to pay more!! Drop clothes and shoe covers were only a show for the estimate, they certaintly were not used during the job. My floor grout (marble and not cheap) was ruined because it was not covered. There are so many reasons that I would not use this company. I am considering pursuing legal action and it definitely took a toll in my emotions dealing with all of the trouble that was caused by this company! I would not recommend them in any way for any job.

Description of Work: Replaced a 15 yr. old a/c system that won't hold charge promptly, efficiently.

Description of Work: Heat Pump not cooling properly. Repair made at time of call along with preventative work performed and advice given for future. Great service and will do business again if needed.
