They did ok. They price was reasonable, but they were a little sloppy on the cleanup. They had to come back out to fix some things, and I was hoping they would have payed a little more attention the first time since I spent so much money. I had them come out for a service call the summer. This time they seemed very knowledgable and gave me the amount of attention that I was expecting the first time. They also made some adjustments to my system that should have been taken care of before, however I was a little more pleased with the way they treated me the second time.

It went very well. Price came in as expected and team was very courteous and punctual. We would definitely use them again.

They were extremely patient with me during the planning process which took awhile because I had a picture in my mind of what I wanted and they made that happen! They removed old tile on the walls and went down to the bare studs, took out a vanity, bathtub and commode, replaced all the old cast iron drain lines with PVC and put up new drywall. They installed new water lines for the new shower and figured out a way to put the faucet on a different wall than the showerhead so I could have the glass shower door that I wanted. The tear out and plumbing were done by Maeser employees who showed up when they were supposed to and cleaned up after themselves (removing the old tile and drywall was a very dusty job). They were very professional. The tile installer was a sub-contractor, but he was awesome! My new shower tile work is a "masterpiece"! The work was very professional, my new bathroom looks great, and I would definitely hire these guys again.

The amount I paid them was like a package which included the plumbing as well as the heating and air conditioning services. So it was not a specific cost but it probably only would have been about $65 for them to come out if they hadn’t already been coming out. On the plumbing job I spent $1000. It was about eight feet of solid cast iron pipe that was ruptured. I didn’t have any dislikes about them. They were really prompt. They were very well spoken. They explained everything clearly and took care of the problem. They got it done quickly with minimum amount of trouble. I’d gotten much higher quotes from other companies. I will use their services again in the future.

We needed an outside faucet replaced. We called Maeser and they were able to schedule a very convenient time very soon. They were on time and fixed the faucet, talked with us about replacing an older sump pump and we agreed to have them replace that as well. We did agree to buy one of those "LIfetime Preferred Plan Memberships" for $59 and I hope that ends up being a good thing.

On one of the hottest days of the year our 10+ year old compressor died on our air conditioner. We had gotten one estimate of $3400 to replace the unit (including the coil), but the company was not on Angie's List or certified by the Better Business Bureau. Angie's list. Maeser's had such a high rating on Angie's List, I decided to check with them as well. The ladies in the office were very pleasant and sympathetic. They were able to send someone to our house within 45 minutes to check out the system. The gentleman was very pleasant and professional. He was very thorough checking out the old unit and even going in the crawl space. He gave us several options to choose from and we elected to get the Bryant. They were fast setting up an appointment to install the air conditioner. The contractors called ahead to let me know they were on their way. They were very professional, clean, pleasant and experienced. They took away the old unit and cleaned up after themselves. I could not have asked for better, faster, more efficient service. They will be on the top of my list for any heating/air or plumbing problems. I would certainly recommend them.

Maeser Plumbing let me down and I must express that I was rather surprised. Since Maeser had dome an excellent job cleaning my old AC unit, I decided to hire them to replace this unit at the cost of $3900.00. Because of my business with them, I also asked Maeser to provide an estimate for a plumbing installation in my Master Bathroom. Originally, the appointment was made so that the "estimator" would arrive at about the same time as the AC folks. I even received a phone call telling me that the estimator was on his way. I waited two hours and still no estimator. Calling them, they initially had no idea what I was talking about, then said the estimator would be at my home soon. Unfortunately for me, this Maeser estimator never showed up at my house. The AC unit was installed and seems to be having issues as it is quite loud and the sounds simply are not right. I am fearful of contacting them again since some of their employees have that "Louisville" absence of professionalism and intellectual process, while many of their other employees are simply great. A contractor should maker a consumer feel secure in their competence and expertise. Maeser has not done this.

I had Maeser Plumbing look at 3 slow drains. They snaked all three. The main drain did improve but the other two did not. They did not report to me what they thought after looking at the drains -- they didn't say these two drains really won't improve much but this one clearly has a problem. They snaked all three even though two really did not need to be done and charged $272. They were here less than an hour. Moreover, two of my sink drains intentionally did not have the stopper locked so my cleaning person could be sure to clean out anything that was caught. They did not tell my that they were locking the sink stoppers -- if they came to me and said gee your stoppers are not locked down and we think they should be I would have told them I did not want that done. In essence they came in and did not evaluate the situation -- they simply did what they had on their work order regardless if it was needed. I also had another group from Maeser look at my AC zoning issue. My basement is too cold. They provided a ridiculous quote - about $6000 to rezone. I had another AC specialist in and the quote was less than half of what Maeser quoted and they made other suggestions that I might try before doing the rezoning.I will not be using Maeser in the future. **************This is an update to a previous report*********************** I am writing to update a previous report I submitted. I was contacted by a representative of the Maeser Master Service company in response to a report I submitted on Angie's List, indicating my dissatisfaction with service the company performed. I was actually very surprised by the contact. I was out of town when I was initially called and was unable to immediately return the call. I am saying that because the representative called several times to speak with me to find out more regarding the service visit. When we actually connected I was surprised by his genuine interest in learning why I was not satisfied. He listened patiently and understood that the service rendered on this occasion was not typical of their company and he offered a refund for the visit. I felt that a part of the work performed did in fact correct one of the problems I had and I did not feel that a full refund was necessary or justifiable. I did, however, feel that a part of the service was not warranted and that I did feel a partial refund was fair. We agreed on a prorated refund which they very promptly put in the mail. The representative further indicated that he viewed my experience as an opportunity to further train his staff. I was actually very impressed by that response and I think it is indicative of a company that really prides itself on quality workmanship. That is something rare indeed. Maeser management did not have to proactively reach out to listen to my experience, but they did. They did not have to offer a refund, but they did. Any company that makes an effort to listen to their customer and wants to make right a legitimate wrong deserves to be trusted. Maybe my comments on Angie's list mattered to them or maybe Angie's list just let them "hear" an unhappy customer. You know what they say, " a happy customer might tell 1 person, but an unhappy customer will tell 10" (or in the case of Angie's list a whole lot more). I would not have called Maeser to complain or to ask for a refund and the company might never have known their customer was not satisfied. I give them a great deal of credit for "listening" and making things right. And as for Angie's list, thank you for creating a forum on a local level that helps everyone to do business in a fair and professional manner. So hats off to Maeser for following up and hats off to Angie's list for creating a service that promotes businesses who perform excellent work and helps companies train their workforce to deliver exceptional quality and services. After this experience I would feel confident that any future work performed by Maeser would be done to my complete satisfaction, so I fully rescind the early ratings I reported.

Although they were two hours late, they performed well and professionally and I am pleased with their work.

Great. The plumbers sent out always know how to trouble shoot and find the problem. The arrive, determine the problem, fix it and they are gone.

They showed up on time and were very professional. It looked like they did a thorough job. The unit was low on freon so they charged it. They laid out all my options with no pressure to do the most expensive thing. They even wore the little booties so they didn't get my carpets dirty. All in all, a little more expensive than I planned on, but because they instilled trust, I would use them again.

Not impressed, overpriced. UPDATE: We now have what I consider to be a fair price on the labor to install the second water heater.

Two men arrived about 8:30 a.m. and began work. One worked inside removing and installing the new coil, while the other worked outside replacing the old a/c unit. The a/c replacement involved removing the pipe and tubing for the oldcoolant and running new pipe and tubing for the new coolant. This involved running the lines under the crawlspace. This part of the job, including the new materials, cost $3197 . While in the crawlspace he discovered a pin-hole link in my water pipe. He called the plumbing unit and that arrived, inspected the leak and provided me with two options of repair. I had him replace 3 feet of the copper pipe with a new pipe made of the newest material. This part of the job cost $267. I also obtained a preferred maintenance agreement for $185 . The work took about a half day. The itemized cost of everything included 1) new central A/C--$3197; 2) replace section of water pipe--$267; and 3) maintenance agreement --$185. Total paid--$3649 Both men were exceptional in performing their work. They were timely, efficient, knowledgeable, and patient with me asking a series of question. I could not have been more pleased and I am a stickler for efficiency.

Service came the same day when I called. Overall excellent performance.

I really loved working with this company. They are professional and personable. The gentlemen who performed the installation of our new heating and cooling system were unobtrusive and efficient. They are a company that goes above and beyond, in my opinion, as they came out three times to ensure that the job was done right. They also worked with us to get a rebate on our system, which was done in a very expedient manner.

This was the first time I used Maeser's and I was very pleased with the level of service provided. They were able to schedule same day service when my furnace went down. Not only were Jeff and Keith professional and knowledgable, they were personable as well! Kudos!

Of the 4 contractors from which I requested an estimate, Measer provided me with the most thorough estimate and most thorough follow-up. They seemed the most professional. For each of the 4 systems Maeser proposed, the estimator emailed me its AHRI Certiificate (which I verified against AHRI.org) and commented on the strengths & weaknesses of each. Any phone call or email was answered within a few hours. They installed the system promptly (we had no HVAC) and finished in one business day. They explained what was (and will be) different from the previous HVAC; what regular maintenance I needed to perform, they demoed the thermostat; they auto-registered my system with the A/C manufacturer, and provided me with the tax credit detail that I need. On install day, the estimator dropped by to check in to make sure everything was going well. I'm obviously no expert, but the system looks well-installed, and has been working perfectly.

I thought the price was reasonable and I was pleased with it. They were very pleasant, they were professional, and they did a very good job. He had to do quite a bit of work to get this done. I asked him about doing something else and he told me that he wouldn?t recommend spending the money on it, but he would do the job if I wanted him to. I just like them. They were able to fix the problem and they cleaned up after themselves.
