Mac's Moving

They stole several thousand dollars in personal items. Started first load at 9am then took and hour and half lunch break?? Second 4 mike trip took them almost an hour drive time? Damaged my furniture, stole my new mattress and switched it out with a disgusting 10 year mattress. Owner is NOT professional at all. Legal action filed. DO NOT trust this company!!! Beware!!

They did a good job until it came time to pay the bill. I had already decided to tip both of them for a job well done; but after totaling the bill, the man in charge said, "although we do not expect it, a gratuity is greatly appreciated." I tipped them anyway but didn't use Mac when I moved the rest of my belongings to my apartment, nor will I recommend them to any family or friends.

They were wonderful from start to finish. Debbie Taylor, the owner of the company, is one of the nicest contractors I've dealt with recently. She is customer service oriented and HONEST. Moving is an expensive and stressful endeavor (especially when you need full packing services). Being a sympathetic and sweet person, she counseled us on things we can do to reduce costs. Her team was professional and courteous every step of the way. The house we moved into was a house that was on a steep hill with steps (40) that would break the back of any average person. This was not a problem for her "can-do" staff, who hauled many boxes and heavy furniture up the hill. In addition, they moved and set up the baby grand piano with great care. Not a single thing was damaged. The only thing that you need to be aware of when initially contacting and dealing with Mac's Moving - and this is not a criticism - is that they are a family run business - they are a true "Mom and Pop" operation. So, don't expect administrative assistants answering phones or fancy contracts. Dealing with Debbie is like dealing with a friend helping you move and so the interaction is very laid back (which I liked and found very refreshing). All in all, I was very impressed with Mac's Moving and would recommend them for all moving needs. They are amazing! Dr. Stem

The provider was not in the office but trying to do scheduling by cell phone without access to the calendar. The provider was then unable to locate the calendar when she was in the office. The person who answered the phone took down the information she needed to schedule then said she would return to confirm and never called back. When I called back 24 hours before the time I thought had been scheduled, the provider blamed me for not calling her back a FOURTH time to confirm. I called a different service who did the job instead.

It went great.

I have used Mac's 3 times and have never been disappointed! They show up on time and work extremely fast. When I moved into my current home it was raining. I also have a very steep driveway that their truck was unable to drive up. The guys got everything into the garage as fast as they could and even dried each thing off before bringing them into the house! I will definitely use them again and always recommend them to my friends.

First of all, kudo's to Debbie who set this up and coached us thoroughly on how to prep in order to save us time. We came in under the estimate as a result. Moving is not some monolithic, linear thing- the movers had to be flexible and they rose to the challenge. We had five guys and two 26 foot trucks which meant we had to be very organized. We had a great team of movers who paid attention to details and took care of our belongings. We only lost a couple of small items in the major move, which made us very happy. We called last minute for a followup with helping place furniture and unload a truck we had from storage when our help didn't show up, and Debbie sent us a team to unload at a very reasonable cost as well. Avoid the potential nightmares and just go with the best- this is simply the best moving company I have encountered anywhere. Dr. Foster

Showed up late, didn't fit everything onto the truck - and weren't even planning on telling me that (I had to catch them as they drove away).

Overall we were very pleased. They arrived on time. There was one truck and 3 guys. The young men were courteous, professional, polite, and efficient. They moved quickly and worked well as a team. Most of the largest and heaviest of furniture was located in our basement (not a walk-out). We have an enormous entertainment center, a 6 1/2 foot long dresser that was impossible for us to even lift, and an incredibly heavy bar with granite counter top.The guys handled everything and made it look easy. When they got to the new home, they took direction where I wanted the furniture. Each of them made it a point to tell me that they would be happy to move pieces if I changed my mind and even offered up suggestions based on previous moves they had done. It was very helpful and relieved much of the stress. From start to finish, the move experience couldn't have gone better. A+ job and A+ employees!

The guys were nice and professional and did everything we asked. The only casualty was my fault because I packed some candles and they melted. The vibe is very different from big movers. At times it made me nervous because it would seem when I called they weren't sure of the details, but they always came through. They moved 2 of my family members who were also pleased and they were MUCH less $$ than competitors

They were about 2 hours late, but they were quick and professional. I also felt they were reasonably-priced. Treated my furniture with care!

They were fabulous and were the best guys I have ever had. I have moved about 30 times in my lifetime and they have been the best I have ever had. Debbie Taylor is the lady who owns the company. They were extremely reasonable and I was shocked with the estimate. They were very good, courteous, clean and perfectionists. I moved all the furniture around the rooms and they were so particular about my furniture. I have moved so many times in my life and I will never choose anyone else, other than them. I have moved state to state and city to city and they are fabulous. I will use them again in the future.
