What distinguished Limbwalker from the others we used was their arboriculture knowledge and landscape aesthetic. We worked with Stephan Zimmerman to determine the scope of work, with his expertise leading the way. The removal and pruning crew, Dave, King and Mikey, were efficient, careful, professional and personable. The second crew that removed the stumps was equally professional and efficient. Both crews left the areas in which they worked clean and in good shape.

+ -1 moreGreat crew on both removals. Seemed choreographed, the way they moved hanging from ropes. Ours was a very difficult task because there were power lines close on all sides. They did most by hand. Lowered branches by ropes and pulleys and avoided damaging anything. Exceeded expectations at all levels.

Description of Work: The crew at Limbwalker Tree Services used a crane and removed a 60+ foot pin oak tree from our backyard that had heavy branches hanging dangerously over our home and deck. Several huge branches had already fallen on our home and deck back in June 2018 and caused about $16,000.00 in damage. Part of the tree came through my kitchen ceiling and left a hole. We will always be grateful to Stephan & his crew for coming to our home within the hour with a crane & removing all those huge, heavy branches and debris off of our roof and deck so that emergency repairs to the roof could be made to cover the hole before more rain came in that morning and continued that week. We were then put on the list to have the oak tree cut down & hauled away. They did an EXCELLENT JOB cutting that huge tree down and hauling if away. The crew worked diligently and steadily from 8 am to after 5 pm. It was a big job and dangerous as the tree was so close to our home. They even trimmed back some other trees for me that were touching the roof and carport. I would highly recommend Limbwalker. They are excellent at their jobs and do excellent, diligent work. I love that they also blew the driveway and took all the mess with them.👍

+ -1 moreStephan Zimmerman and the crew with Limbwalker Tree Service did an excellent job with quick response to emergency removal of huge tree limbs and debris that fell on my house and tore a hole in my kitchen ceiling. They used a crane to pick up the heavy tree limbs and debris, cleaned up the mess, and hauled it all away. Then my contractor could make emergency roof repairs before more rain and bad weather came later on that day. Thank you Stephan and crew from Limbwalker for your quick response in an emergency situation and for the excellent job you did. I would highly recommend Limbwalker and will definitely use them again.
Description of Work: Limbwalker provided storm/emergency services by removing huge tree limbs and debris that fell from a huge oak tree on to our house and deck. The heavy oak tree limbs tore a hole in my kitchen ceiling. I could see the sky through that hole in my kitchen ceiling. Stephan Zimmerman and the crew from Limbwalker were at my house in about an hour after I called and spoke with Stephan and told him of my emergency. The hole in the kitchen ceiling could not be repaired until all of the extensive tree limbs and debris were removed. Also, more rain and storms were predicted for later that day. Stephan and the crew had to bring in a crane to lift away all those huge, heavy tree branches. They removed all of the tree branches and debris quickly and professionally.

+ -1 moreOne of the most professional contractors I’ve hired. Lots of trees were down because of the snow. Our driveway was partially blocked by two downed trees. An arborist came in the morning to assess and give an estimate. By mid-afternoon, three very nice guys removed the trees, cleaned up debris and will return when weather permits to take out stumps. No payment required until the work is finished.

+ -1 moreArborist Kory was very knowledgeable and felt pricing for services quoted were fair. Arrangement of services was initially easy but of course first trip cancelled due to rain, second trip scheduled but crew came like 4 hours earlier than expected and unannounced. They did offer to re-schedule, men were very polite and respectful. Ended up working out having work done at earlier time but initially frustrating. Work completed in a timely manner (suppose to be a 3 men crew and one was sick - did not affect quality of work or pricing) and clean up went well, the two men that were sent worked well together and provided the job we asked for. In the end would have them come back and do more.

Description of Work: Limbwalker arrived in the early morning after a large tree was downed by a storm over night. I called and they arrived shortly after, with a crew and equipment. Our power was out and tree was blocking LG&E access. Limbwalker staff had tree removed within short time, allowing our power to be restored. Limbwalker management was very helpful effective in assisting me with our insurance claim and recovery.

+ -1 moreThey told us that we didn't have to be home, but we happened to be home. He came into the backyard, took a look at everything and went on his way. Sometimes in cases like that no news is good news. I am sure they would have let us know if there was some sort of an issue with it.

+ -1 moreStephan & his crew arrived promptly at 8:30 as scheduled. The job was completed exactly as requested in slightly less than 3 hours. They cleaned up all the tree debris before they left. Unlike some cheaper tree services, Limbwalker cares about the health & well being of trees. They don't butcher your trees. Stephan was also able to offer advice about selecting a new dogwood to replace the one that had to be removed.
Description of Work: Prune low hanging branches from 2 large trees. Top & shear large holly tree. Remove dead dogwood tree.

+ -1 moreExcellent! Stephan gave us a detailed estimate. He would also coordinate with our neighbor for "their half" of the limbs. The crew arrived on-time. I specifically told them to remove any smaller deadwood than what was specified in the estimate. This was an unexpectedly large amount and added $200 (+/-) to the eventual cost., but considering even small deadwood falling on a car can cause serious dents, well-worth it.
Description of Work: Prune (deadwood removal) three trees along a fence line. Consequent;y only "our side" of the trees would be pruned.

+ 0 moreGreat. Someone came out right away, consulted and quoted the trim of 5 trees. Recommended a cabling of our large back yard maple to protect our home and keep the tree healthy without breaking in a storm. This had been recommended a couple years before and we knew it was needed, not just an up-sell on the job. We accepted the quote, guys came out the next week and did the work. All were very nice and professional. I asked if they could leave the mulch, and they could not that day because of another job, but came back the following day and left a nice large pile of tree mulch that we were able to use around the yard. This company seems to care about their work, the trees, the environment, and the customers. I appreciate that.

+ -1 moreTheir bid for the tree in the front was only $25 more than a competitor, and did not require disconnecting our electrical service. The bid for the trees in the back was significantly more than a competitor (it pays to get competitive bids). I had Limbwalker cut the tree in the front. They did exactly what they said they would do, exactly when they said they would do it, for exactly the amount they said it would cost. It does not get much better than that. If I needed tree work done again, I would call them for a bid, and use them again if their bid was competitive. Since their bid for the work in the back was so much higher, I did not use them for that work.
Description of Work: Limbwalker provided bids for significantly cutting back a tree in the front and also provided bids for cutting down some trees in the back.

+ 0 moreExcellent. A licensed Arborist came out and checked all the trees, then made recommendations to keep the trees healthy. A crew came out a few days later and did all the work. Left the yard clean. With the cables in the trees (and you can't see them) I feel much more confident about not having a tree limb come crashing into our house during a storm. They really knew what they were doing and didn't hack my trees up. These people are the best!
Description of Work: Trimmed three large (about 75 ft tall each) Water Maple trees. Attached a cable in each tree to prevent the trees from splitting during a storm. Pressure fertilized one tree.

He offered us tips on what we could accomplish ourselves, and what Limbwalker could help us with in the future. As first time homeowners, the responsibility of a new yard with many mature trees can be daunting. Stephan offered us sound (and very honest!) advice. We will definitely be using Limbwalker for our future tree needs! Our trees remained natural looking and not "overly pruned." I feel confident that our trees are healthy and will remain so after working with Limbwalker.

+ -1 moreIt was great, not only did they know how to cut trees down, they were very helpful on telling me how to manage the lot more efficiently. What types of covers could stay and trees could stay, etc. They also removed a mulberry tree as well because they attract many birds and I would not have to worry about an extensive root system jacking up my house. They sent an arborist which I thought was very cool that was an adviser to the workers as well as recommended things to myself. It was a great experience.
Description of Work: Removal of a tree branch that was knocked on my deck by a major storm. They also removed a very young mulberry tree next to the house.
