We were slow to get going while waiting for our HOA's approval process and then we halted progress at the last minute to have the property surveyed so we'd get the fence correctly on our property line. He was so accommodating and worked us in and kept in communication daily as to when to expect him out to work.

Matt's quote was not the lowest we received but no one else proposed the solutions Matt did in terms of how to transition from the 8 foot section to the 6 foot section and how to work around a light that was in the path of the fence. Matt was the one to come out to discuss and put together the quote, and he was out here every day building the fence. With other projects we have had completed, we had problems with communication between the salesman and the crew doing the project, so we felt more comfortable knowing that Matt was involved from the beginning to the end. He built everything from scratch and was great with communication.

J.R. Warren Fencing was the only company that I could get to come out to Taylorsville to fix my fence problems. Everyone else was either too busy and couldn't get me scheduled for 2 months or just didn't return my phone call. Matt not only returned my call, but when he was unable to make our first appointment, he called before hand and asked to reschedule. When he came out, I walked him around and told him what I wanted. He said he would get me a quote. He provided the quote and I was very pleased especially considering the distance he was travelling to perform the work. Once I agreed to the quote he scheduled me very quickly. He started on Friday to dig up and set new posts. The following Monday he came out and put on the new latches on the single gates and fixed the double gate. Today he has adjusted the gates to his liking which he was considerably pickier than I. The job took longer than what was quoted and he was not going to charge me for that. However, I insisted on giving him more than the quote as he was here on Monday for 8 hours due to unforeseen issues with the hinges on my double gate. He is a very courteous and professional young man. He is very honest and will not steer you wrong. I would recommend him to anyone needing fence or deck work! You will not be disappointed.

I really liked the work that was done. They worked very hard to get my fence up and saved me quite a bit of money on lumber by using the fence that was knocked down. I feel that he is a very creative thinker and definitely knows how to put a fence up. He took an estimate but took longer than he thought. Instead of charging me more, he honored the original estimate.

The job was done professionally, on schedule, and to my satisfaction for a reasonable price. I would recommend this company to anyone needing fence installation or repair.

Matt is the greatest professional ever and a wonderful person. He and Charlie just completed a wooden fence installation on my property and did an amazing job. Excellent workmanship, good pricing and I would recommend this team to get your fence installed.

Matt and Charlie were professional and communicative. Rain delayed things and they always let me know when they would be on site and when they couldn't make it due to weather. The job was straightforward but made difficult by tree roots and a difference in grade between my yard and my neighbor's. They kept at it and the new fence is great: level, tight, and a huge improvement on the looks of the yard. Despite delays and difficulties, the price quoted was the price charged. Everything was cleaned up and we had no problems with any part of the process. Friendly, courteous professionals and highly recommended.

The work was completed as promised and was of excellent quality. Matt and Charlie were both great.

He gave us a one price quote on replacing damage fence and a one quote for replacing the entire fence. He emailed the quotes as he stated in a timely manner with all detailed information included. His price was a little higher than the other company we decided to go with. He definitely was knowledgeable and very professional.

Owner Matt Warren conducted the estimate and completed the fencing work, along with one other person. Simply stated, they did a superb job. Matt was on time for the estimate and was professional, courteous, and easy to work with to determine what we wanted and needed. He returned calls and emails promptly. During the course of the job, Matt discovered that the lumber dealer had delivered a large number of boards that were in unsuitable condition for a quality fence, so he loaded them in his truck and returned them. This caused him to lose time on the job, but we greatly appreciated his attention to quality and his unwillingness to install inferior material. The end product is a beautiful fence. Matt is a talented craftsman with an eye for detail, and we are absolutely thrilled with the fence. I highly recommend this company.

The job went really well. From the moment I met Matt when he came over to give me an estimate for the work, I liked him. He was knowledgeable, friendly, professional and immediately put me at ease. When I hired him to do the work, I was fully confident that he would deliver a great finished product. And that he did. Over the course of two days, Matt and Charlie worked diligently to install the fence. The effort that went into it and the competence they showed in their work is apparent in the final product. I am one pleased customer and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new fence.

Matt is JR's son and does most of the construction work now. He built a privacy fence at our home several years ago and recently built a wood deck to replace on old which we inherited when we bought our house. Matt was responsive to our inquiry and came out to estimate the job. He was very thorough in making sure we got the deck we wanted. He started and finished in about a week, which was within the time he estimated it would take. The construction work is high quality and we are very happy with his work.

Matt Warren was very punctual, professional and eager to please. He took down the old fence, replaced some of the old, warped posts, put up the new fence and even added/built a gate. The gate is great and just what I described/requested. Overall, I was very pleased with the process and final product. Matt made sure that I was happy with the work and said that I could call him if there were any issues. I recommend JR Warren Fencing and will absolutely request Matt's services again when needed.

Even though we ended up going with another company for this particular project, I WOULD DEFINITELY CALL MATT WARREN AGAIN FOR OTHER PROJECTS! He was prompt, professional, and took the time to discuss our project needs and tedious little requests. He then promptly emailed us a quote with details of various options so we could make an informed decision. Their prices were the 2nd lowest and very reasonable.

The work went smoothly…the cleaning was excellent and the stain was the color I picked out. There were absolutely no problems.

Added a fence to my back yard. He was right there for the bid and checked in with us after the the bid (other remodeling pulled us away from the project). Matt helped by suggesting moving where the fence went, built a custom fence using a design I found on the Internet. I changed the height and he had no problem with the last minute change. His price was very competitive. Would use him again in a heartbeat.

Awesome! I'd recommend Matt and his crew in a minute to anyone except I want to make sure when I need him again he's available! He and his crew were great. They were prompt, professional, took pride in their work, were attentive to detail, all around great. Even halfway through the front deck when we (Matt and I) decided that it would really be best to change the type of stain for the back deck, it was no problem. Fortunately Home Depot was a little helpful with that one too, but delaying them for 30 minutes while I ran up and switched everything out was no a problem because he wanted to make sure everything turned out right. He also recommended that we cut off (literally) the flower box at the end of our deck that was edging our steps... he thought it would look better and open it up...he was right! It looks so much better! And now you can see/navigate the steps better too. The project was expensive, but fairly priced, worth every penny, looks SO much better and increased the value of our property for sure!

I can't say enough good things about Matt Warren's service. He was very prompt in delivering his estimate and beginning the job and in completing the entire job. His communication skills were excellent. He always kept me informed of when he would be on site. He always asked how I wanted things done--and even if that is not what he would have chosen, he did what I asked. He was very polite and tactful. Once when he was drawing the curve of the scallop, I disagreed and thought it should be much less. He went ahead and did what I asked--even though I'm sure he was skeptical--and the curve was way too little. But because I could see it for myself, I knew it was too small, and we changed it. Matt takes a lot of pride in his work and seems to like a challenge. The design of the fence evolved as it went along. I would make changes (before he got to that part), such as deciding to leave space between the pickets in the fence that edged the back yard, and, later, deciding to only have a half fence next to the arbor so that the back yard could be seen from the adjoining sunroom. The changes really added to the beauty and serviceability of the fence. Matt found a hard-to-locate type of hinge that made the five foot gates seem very light and will probably keep them from sagging in the future. He liked them so well that he used them on the walk gate, too. And, finally, Matt has said that if there are problems with any part of the fence--even the pickets--to call him, and he will take care of it. I used to teach Customer Service classes and know that good customer service is about creating a good working relationship. Matt did that in his knowledge of fence building, his good work ethic, his flexibility, his communication skills, his reliability, and his honesty. He enjoys his craft and is very concerned that his customer is pleased with his work--and is quite fair about his pricing. I feel that I got a beautiful custom-built fence, and I would recommend his work to anyone.
