Their price is probably average. I like that they are professional and easy to work with. We use them all the time.

The service went fine. They're very good. and we would use them again.

They are punctual. They do the job. They are expensive. What they do, they do really well. It is cheaper than replacing the entire unit. Our blower was making a noise so we called them and they got it fixed. It is pretty good. I don't know what the going rate is in relation to price.

Estimater did not have good knowledge of companies products and lacked ability to provide adequate recommendation for work needed.

This is one of the absolute worst companies out the. WARNING DO NOT USE. The entire time all they tried to do was sell me a new unit. I had another company, A N Roth come out and give me a real service and check and they confirmed that the true home guy did absolutely nothing. Stay away!

The guys who came out were personable. They understood what was going on as far as the situation goes. This would be the first time that I had to have an air conditioner fixed so I have no idea what the other prices would be. They came out a day after I called them and they did a really good job.

CALLED THIS COMPANY TO REPAIR MY AC BECAUSE HAD A VALPAK COUPON. EXPLAINED IT WAS NOT COOLING AND THAT WAS WHAT I NEEDED REPAIRED. AFTER CHECKING EVERYTHING OUT, HE WENT TO HIS TRUCK AND CAME BACK WITH A LIST OF "PROBLEMS", THAT HE SAID NEEDED TO BE FIXED. HIS COST FOR THE FIRST POUND OF FREON WAS $280.OO, AND AN ADDITIONAL $350.00 FOR THE NEXT TWO POUNDS. HE SAID I NEEDED THREE POUNDS. THERE WERE A FEW OTHER REPAIRS AND PRICES THAT ALSO SEEMED VERY HIGH TO ME. IT ALL TOTALED OVER $1400.00, BUT COULD BE DISCOUNTED IF I BOUGHT A SERVICE CONTRACT. HE EVEN SUGGESTED THAT I MIGHT BE BETTER OFF IF I JUST BOUGHT A WHOLE NEW AC UNIT. I EXPLAINED THAT I WAS PLANNING TO SELL THE HOUSE SOON AND DID NOT WANT TO PUT ANY MORE MONEY INTO IT THAN WAS REALLY NECESSARY. HE CONTINUED TO PRESSURE ME. EVEN IF I HAD JUST HAD HIM REPLACE THE FREON IT WAS STILL GOING TO BE $630.00. IT SEEM OUTRAGEOUS, AND I FELT LIKE HE WAS DEFINITELY TRYING TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF A SINGLE WOMAN. I PAID FOR THE SERVICE CALL AND SENT HIM ON HIS WAY. I THEN CALLED KAYROUZ HEATING AND AC, WHICH WE HAVE USED BEFORE. THEY CAME THE NEXT DAY, REPLACED ONE POUND OF FREON WHICH HE SAID WAS ALL I NEEDED FOR $50.00 PER POUND. HE DIDN'T THINK ANY OTHER WORK WAS NECESSARY. HE EVEN TIGHTENED MY THERMOSTAT ON THE WALL FOR FREE BECAUSE IT WAS LOOSE AND HE WAS A NICE GUY. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TRUEHOME AIR TO ANYONE. THEIR INTEGRITY IS VERY QUESTIONABLE. REALLY THINK HE THOUGHT HE COULD GET SOMETHING BY ON AN OLDER WIDOW. AND WONDER IF HE HAS TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF OTHER OLDER PEOPLE.

I went on Angies List to find a provider to look over a few electrical problems in our home. My husband made an appointment with this provider on Monday. The provider "was supposed" to come the next day (Tuesday) between 10-12 and give an estimate for a smoke detector wiring problem and look over our fuse box. The secretary stated that she had the phone number for our address but she did not confirm the phone number. On Tuesday morning about 11:45 a.m. I called and office and asked why no one has called or showed up? She stated that they had an old number. I then asked if someone would be available today. I was placed on hold and the call was dropped :(. I called again and the second person said she could 'confirm' a new appointment between 3-5 p.m. I made sure this person had the right address and phone number. I also asked her if the tech. would give me a courtesy call if he was going to be late. She said 'yes'. I waited and waited until 5:30. NO SHOW AND NO CALL :((

The technician arrived on time and he did a good job. It took a lot longer than we expected so we left him at the house, but our air conditioners are working fine.

They did a great job, in a timely manner; and I would hire them again in an instant. Everything was cleaned up once they were done, and nothing was damaged. They have a group that does electrical work and based on my experience with the plumbing group, I will probably be calling them to do my electrical work as well.

They came quickly and were reasonably priced. They were very kind. The job has lasted with no more problems.

This company has just sold to another.....True Home (or something like that) and many of the people with whom I had to install the sewer system are now going to work for a different company.....not the one that bought the company.

My appointment was made approx. 2 weeks in advance and was scheduled for sometime between 8-11 a.m. After I called them at approx. 8:30 to see if a more accurate time was known, I made it clear to them that I was at home and to call my home number for the 1/2 hour arrival time notification. They told me that they could not yet give me any further information. About 1/2 hour later, they called to tell me that the tech was running late and that they would have to re-schedule my time between 11a.m.-1 p.m. Since I was only expecting to take the morning off of work, I was not happy, but agreed to the change. The tech arrived at 1 p.m. with no call from the firm. The tech. advised me that he had just gotten the notice. He then informed me that they had recently taken over several companies and that their home office was now in Indpls. and that they were apparently still working the bugs out. He proceeded to do his work which took about 1 hr. and then asked me if I wanted to sign a contract for future cleaning and maintenance services. I declined and told him that I might try them again to see if things went better. Since I had a coupon for this visit, I was okay with the service once it finally happened. I thought I was dealing with a local company and was displeased to say the least that they had not told me that they were located in Indpls. Oh, and when I got to work the next day, there was a call on my voice mail from the day before that they would be at my home in 1/2 hr. They called my work even after I made sure they knew which number to reach me at.

Angie's List, shame on you for supporting this company. Having used some professional HVAC companies in the past for annual check-ups, I value their professional opinion. However, this company's representation by this tech was shameful. Here was my experience on 5/31/13. A/C was not making temp....I suspected I was low on R-22. Having seen the offer from this company, I called about getting a tune-up. The appointment setup over the phone was quick and easy. I explained I needed some R-22,and would also benefit from the rest of the 22-point inspection. I specifically asked if the R-22 was included as part of the service price and was confirmed that if only a minor amount was needed, that it would be fine. Hang-up and now to the visit...... Scheduled for arrival between 3-5pm on Friday, the service tech did not call and let me know he was still coming until 5:30pm. Knowing that I needed to get this done with summer now here, we pushed back our evening plans to proceed with the tune-up. After he got inside and I explained what I was seeing, he decided he needed to use my restroom before getting going. OK, no problem. We then went to the unit (installed in August 2007) and he hooked up his gauges. He confirmed the low pressure and everything then went south. First, he said now the call had gone from a $48 Tune-Up to a $75 Service call. Prior to proceeding with any other checks, he would need to charge the system with 3lbs at a cost of $200 in R-22. Unfortunately for him, I know the price when bought in bulk is nowhere near that much per lb. So what was described over the phone as a $48 visit, immediately became in his opinion a $275 visit. I said I would like to wrap up. With the coupon in hand, he still tried to charge me $75. I told him to call his office, which he did, where they had to confirm the $48 price. I paid via credit card and was ready for him to leave. He then took the time to remind me that if I hadn't made him call his office he would have "worked with me" on the price of the gas based on not reporting how much he put in. I told him that at no point was he transparent in anything and that I wouldn't trust him to not gouge the heck out of me once he started to do actual "work" he was being paid to do. The following Monday 6/3, I had a friend come over who was licensed to buy R-22 in 30lb cylinders (cost him ~ $200 or $7 per lb) and charge up my system, with less than a pound of gas. Took 10 minutes to fix which included him and I playing with my dogs. Everything is working fine. Bottom line: I'm a 27 yr old mechanical engineer working in a manufacturing company. I know how to deal with BS when I see it and this guy was full of it. My motivation to write this is in the interest of other customers that have likely been scammed not knowing any different. How would an elderly couple or mother with kids running around be in any position to challenge his diagnosis? The answer is they would not. A guy like this would show up, charge the $x00s for bogus labor & material then leave knowing it took a quick fix and everything was normal. You need to look into your vendors and how they operate, what a joke! Feel free to contact me for any other questions.

Put a 3 ton 13 Seer Carrier condenser with coils installed and raised the disconnect ponel to bring up to code. Buford West was the service man. He was very polite and discussed with me all my options. He did not try to convince me to buy a new condenser and actually explained that I might have a few years on my current unit but this would be determined once they tried to prepare the leak. I decided to go ahead and purchase the new condenser as mine was quite old. Buford could not have been more polite and knowledgeable. He also replaced my overhead fluorescent light in the basement. It hasn't worked in two years. I couldn't be happier with the unit and would certainly use them again.

We like them. Other members can expect that they're going to be on time, be very courteous and they'll explain things very well. They back up their work because they were here a couple of times for a plumbing issue, but unfortunately, they didn't make a connection correct on the sink and we ended up having water in the basement. But they came right out, because they knew that that was a mistake on their part. They were more than happy to even replace the rug, but instead we had somebody come out and clean the carpet and everything. So, I'm very pleased with them as far as if you have any problems they will bend over backwards. They're very professional.

The plumber (Andrew) was on-tiime, professional, polite and provided great detail on the necessary repairs. I would use them again.

I got a quote for an air conditioning system last week. All I met so far was Mr Jarboe. He was a very nice gentleman. He was punctual and came out when he was expected. He was punctual and professional. We will consider using their company.

I have been very happy with them. I have used them for plumbing and HVAC as well. The work went very well. They fixed something I thought wasn't even fixable. They fixed my bathroom fan when I just wanted them to give me the specs of it so I could buy a new one.

They were great! Professional, timely and didn't try to talk me into the more expensive units.

Done great work, and the prices are very reasonable, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

The installers were very responsive and cleaned up after themselves. They were friendly and knowledgeable. We would use them again.

Water was about to flow out into the basement, but Jarboe came ASAP and replaced the pump. They redid some piping in the basement as well and changed some backflow valves.

I couldnt be happier with the overall experience and especially the results. Zipper quoted the project clearly, showed up when they were supposed to and did a fantastic job. The crew were clean, courteous and respectful of our home. During the day the owners showed up twice to check in on the project and inspect the work. When all was said and done, one of the owners came back out and went over everything to make sure we were happy. They actually did more than the scope of work called for "because we want you to be happy once we are done" and didnt charge for the "extras". There is no doubt in my mind that Zipper will be my first and only call from here on out. These guys are GREAT!!!
