 + -1 moreWe had a Jarboes out for a scheduled maintenance call on our furnace and Chris, who came out, was punctual, professional and had the unenviable task of letting me know we needed to replace our furnace. He put together an estimate--answered all of my questions and didn't charge me for that visit. We scheduled a time for the installation of the new furnace. I received a call the day before to confirm installation, a call that morning and a call when Chris was on his way. Once again, Chris was right on time, completely professional and once the installation was finished took all the time necessary to make sure I understood the new thermostat and furnace. Best of all, the estimate matched what I ended up owing at the end of the job. I will recommend Jarboes to everyone I know--this is a very good company with fantastic employees.
Description of Work: We have used Jarboes for maintenance on our furnace--in this specific instance, we had to replace our furnace, exterior heat pump and thermostat.

 + 0 moreCalled Jarboe's to find and fix the source of a leaking drain from an upstairs bathroom. They provided quick and professional service. They offered to come out same day even though this wasn't a plumbing emergency. The company maintained excellent communication with a reminder call before they came out. They arrived during the promised time window and quickly identified the problem. They had a quote ready in minutes, and after I OK'd it, finished the job quickly. They even had everything they needed on their truck. The plumbers were personable and professional. They even wore shoe covers so they wouldn't track anything into the house. I am very satisfied with the work done, and wouldn't hesitate to call them again should the need arise.
Description of Work: Replaced leaking drain pipe to collection pipe (about 6-8 ft.) and sink trap.

Description of Work: We needed to have our drain snaked as it wasn't draining quickly enough. Problem was almost 140ft from the house. They diagnosed the problem and did a great job explaining everything to my wife in the process. She indicated that they were very professional and were complete in their analysis of the problem.

 + -1 moreThey were great! The gentleman did a good evaluation and offered his thoughts on the condition of the system. He also took it a step further and looked at the ducts as well as the plumbing and wiring that was down in the basement. He pointed out some things that the inspector didn't see. He was very professional and courteous. When he was leaving I asked for a quote on a new system and he took the time to explain the differences that are out there (conventional, hybrid, etc). He wasn't pushy about it and did get me a few quotes quickly. Overall great service and I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: I was buying a home and the home inspector stated that I should get a more thorough inspection of the HVAC system. I contacted Jarboe's to do that inspection.

 + 1 moreIt was fantastic. The CSR on the phone found a way to get us on the schedule the same day. My wife told me they were very professional and friendly. We received an upfront estimate before work was performed. Everything is working great.
Description of Work: They cleaned out the water heater. Lint had built up and it would not stay lit. They idenitified problem & got it corrected. Also had furnace serviced & signed up for A&C service for later in spring.

 + -1 morea few days before leaving for a trip i went down to my basement to retrieve my luggage when i stepped on soggy carpet, as panic started to set in i set about trying to find where the water was coming from,didnt have to go far ,found that my old water heater had been leaking, after calming down I knew I was in need of a plumber and thats when i started to panic again as i had recently moved to the area and knew no one, but then I remembered Angie"s list so i searched and found Jarboe's plumbing,called them, they came out and replaced the water heater they were very professional and had the job done in under an hour.one of the things i like about this company is that they charge by the job and not by the hour.I would highly recommend them and will use them in the future if the need arises .

 + -1 moreThe men were very polite and professional. Our furnace went out and our basement was very cold for about 36 hrs. My husband heard a dripping noise after we had a new furnace put in and found that a valve was leaking. I called Jarboes plumbing, we have used their services in the past when it comes to water issues and they have always been professional and quick when it comes to doing their job. I called much later in the day and was told that they could have a man come out sometime after six, but if he was still there after seven it would cost us extra for the O/T. Not knowing how long it might take him to fix it, we decided to wait and just used a bucket to catch the dripping water. They came out the next day at the time specified and was done pretty quickly. He also found that the pressure coming in was way too high and lowered it for it us. Very professional and we even got a free reusable shopping bag with a chip clip and other goodies for spending over $100.00 with them (I assume it was a promo). Very dependable and gets the job done right!!

Called Jarboe's at 8:00 a.m. Technicians were at our house by 9:30 a.m. Repair was completed by 12:30 p.m. My husband was at home for the repair and said that the servicemen were professional, thorough and pleasant. Since this is our first furnace repair as homeowners, I do not know how their costs compare, but their service is first rate and we will definitely use them again!

 + 0 moreCame out the next day and were even a little early. Performed diagnostic tests and then explained my options and the prices for each option. I went with full replacement of a 50 gal. water heater in place of my broken 40 gal. Took about 4 1/2 hours for removal and install. Guys were very nice and polite to my 2 year old who wanted to help! I would have liked for them to have cleaned up a little more thoroughly after the job (bits of solder and a few screws and scraps laying around) Pleased with job overall. Office staff very friendly and helpful when scheduling too.

 + -1 moreFirst visit the technician replaced the flap on the toilet and gave an estimate for the bathtub faucet repair. Returned the following week to finish the work. Technicians were very clean in their work and donned protective gear to safeguard the house. I was especially impressed in the responsiveness of Jarboe's throughout the process. Even received a call several hours after the repair to make sure the work had been done appropriately and that I was satisfied. Excellent customer service from start to finish.

 + -1 moreVery good experience. I called on a Thursday and wanted it scheduled for Monday afternoon, which they did. THe two gentlemen were very nice and professional, showing me my options and prices before going to get the new toilet. They had it installed and running in no time. I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: I called Jarboe to investigate a leak from my toilet. They were able to tell me that such leaks were common with the model toilet I had. I have not been happy with the toilet since we've moved in several years ago, as it would often run by itself at times. They offered different prices for replacing multiple inside parts, replacing the toilet with a similar type, or putting in a new "air" flush toilet. We chose to spend a little bit more money and go with the power flush. It was more money than we anticipated, but well worth it. The cost was $509, but we paid $484.40 after a $25 Angies List discount.

 + -1 moreThey came to my house, listened to my wishes, and gave me several options in their estimate, and did not encourage me to consider higher cost options. The estimate was sent promptly to me.
Description of Work: Although I just received an estimate from Jarboe, I was impressed with their knowledge and professionalism in giving me the estimate. I did a lot of research on the company, and found only good things. The ONLY reason I did not use them was because they did not respond quickly enough to my request for additional information. I understand that my request was made during a very busy season for them. However, their price was the most reasonable, and I did not feel pressured by them, no encouraged to spend more money. (All the other companies pushed higher expense equipment.) I will not hesitate to give Jarboe another chance for future plumbing needs.
