 + -1 moreWe are very pleased with their work. There was a little problem. They had not turned the water back on so that I had water in the refrigerator. We told them and they were right out the next day, and it wasn’t like next week. They were very prompt and very apologetic. They are very good. They were very caring and they were right here and on time. I think that the price is okay. They were plumbers and they looked like they should.
Description of Work: Jarboes came out and fixed a water leak in the crawl space and all sorts of things. They were hooking everything else up and putting in new shutoff valves.

 + 1 moreCompany was quick to respond to our initial inquiry. Plumber came over within 2 days to give estimate. Did a very thorough check of the situation and listened to our concerns regarding the sump pumps and placement of new drain pipes for them. Plumber was VERY courteous and professional. We scheduled with them but they had to reschedule due to emergency -- and they were apologetic, arrived early for rescheduled date and worked very quickly. About a week later, we received a phone call to see if everything met with our approval. About a week after that, we received a small "thank you" gift box from the company. Overall, an excellent job. Yes, we would use them again -- but hopefully we're done with plumbing problems!
Description of Work: Installed 2 new super-duty sump pumps, rerouted sump pipes, replaced old, leaking bathtub fixtures (showerhead, bathtub faucet, etc).

 + 4 moreWhile the serviceman started to install the water pump (to supply warm water faster to the faucets further from the heater), he pointed out that the warranty on the water heater had expired (was 10 yrs. old). If the heater would soon be replaced, we would incur a cost for re-installing the pump on a new heater. I decided to go ahead with the purchase. The only question, which my husband helped answer, was how to get the light to work without the motion detector. I was pleased with the serviceman's information about the water heater and with his work.
Description of Work: An outdoor security light was installed and wired for $371 (my light). A water pump that I purchased was installed on a new 50 gal water heater.

 + -1 moreThis was the best experience with home repair I have had in the thirty eight years I have lived in my house.They were on time, efficient, and the price was very reasonable. They did the repairs quickly, they cleaned up, and the work was well done. As important as all of that is, I was just as impressed by the friendliness and courtesy of the men who did the work. I had used another plumber a few months ago to replace some old metal pipe and was very unhappy with them. They rubbed against my glass storm door with the edges of the pipe they removed as they took it outside through my front door.I have not been able to get the marks off with any cleaning product, and I have tried several. I called them to come back because I still had the leak into the basement after they finished. He came back but he didn't find the leaks, he said water was running down a wall in the shower and dripping in the basement. It took Jarboe's about ten minutes to find both leaks, my basement is dry.
Description of Work: Replaced the bathtub drain and the water shut-off valve behind the toilet.

 + -1 moreThey sent a post card. They call before their servicemen arrive. Their servicemen are very conscientious. They put booties on before they enter our home. I can't say enough good things about their company. They even call back to make sure that we were pleased with the work completed.
Description of Work: They installed a whole new heating and air conditioning system. They came back to replace the condenser for the motor in August. It was a recall and was under the factory warranty. They just came back again and did a heating check which was included in our two warranty.

 + 0 moreJarboes scheduled an appointment for the same day that I called. The plumber arrived on time, and was clean, professional and courteous. He gave me an estimate for the Water Heater, which he stuck with, even though he needed to do some extra work to install the Water Heater. He also did not charge me extra for the toilet leak. Overall, it was a very positive experience and I would use Jarboes again.
Description of Work: Jarboes Plumbing repaired a leaking toilet and replaced a defective Water Heater.

 + 0 moreThe initial attempts to contact were frustrating but the end result was very pleasing. The problem was fixed and everything left clean. We even got a goody bag! (It was a little hard to pay out that extra $100 though.)
Description of Work: On Sunday January 1st we discovered that running water in the bathroom or kitchen sink brought gunky stuff up into our bathtub, which would not drain. Since I had a Wednesday appointment with Jarboe's for a different issue, I tried to call them since their ad said 24 hour emergency service. Apparently there was something wrong with the Answering Service's telephone system because every time I dialed and started to explain my problem I was cut off - frustration! I finally did speak to someone who said they would leave a message for Jarboe's to call me. No call - because the Answering Service never informed me that Monday was a holiday so there would be no-one in the office. They did offer to call a technician which would be $100 up front plus the cost of the work, since it was a holiday. Since everything was stopped up I had no choice. Very soon "Joe" called, then showed up with his helper. They couldn't have been nicer, put on those little bootees every time they came into the house, cleaned out the main line blockage, and showed us a problem where a T-joint had been installed instead of a Y-joint, and the pipe slanted the wrong way. .But the BEST thing was he solved the problem that THREE previous plumbers had not - why the bathtub leaked down into the basement! Thank you Joe! Now I can have that area enclosed for a laundry area without the ceiling leaking. And the first estimate I get will be from Jarboe's. Hopefully they will go with a different after hours answering service.

Description of Work: They called when they said they would, were puntucal,and professional, they repaired a toilet, an electrical outlet...they worked quickly,did a great job. the price was fair...and in addition, they were friendly...gave me useful advice, and fixed a couple of small issues ( a clogged sink disposal, and malfunctioning toilet). It did not take a long time to schedule them to come( I called Friday to set up a time for the next Monday). It was helpful that they could do both electrical and plumbing work so I didn't have to call 2 different companies. I will definitely use them again.

After inspecting the job, he gave me an estimate for the faucet--and replacing the shut off valve that wasn't working. The price was very reasonable, and he started the work. He was respectful, neat, and had the job done in less than 2 hours. He also spotted a problem with the house's main shut-off valve, gave me an estimate for that, as well as replacing my disposal. He brought drop cloths and wore booties throughout. This company deserves the highest rating--I couldn't be more pleased.
Description of Work: I needed a faucet replaced in my kitchen sink--it seemed like a do-it-yourself job that my neighbor was going to do, but she quickly realized there were other problems, so we got on Angie's List and found Jarboe's.

 + 0 moreWe have worked with quite a few men from that company, and we know the owner, and they are all very competent. They will come back if you have any problems. They did have a coupon for the last job and that helped. We would definitely recommend them and we would use them again.
Description of Work: We use Jarboes Inc for our heating and cooling systems. They maintain our systems and check them twice a year. They do plumbing too. The last time they came out was when we had a drip in the basement and there was some copper piping that needed to be replaced.

 + 0 moreMy main sump pump had hung up and did not work properly. As a result, after 4 inches of rain my basement was flooded. I called Jarboes. They arrived when they said they would and went right to work. The two men worked for three hours installing a backup system. They were very professional and competent. I had been given an estimate previous to their arrival. When they were finished the bill was exactly as the estimate. They cleaned up. I was very satisfied with their estimate and their work.

Description of Work: Jarboes fixed a water leak for me. My leak was in the basement, so they also removed the duct work so the plumbers could get to the line. They also installed a new faucet for my kitchen sink.
