Description of Work: I had a hot water heater that was not working. I called them for service & they were friendly & prompt. When they came out to take a look at the water heater they were able to determine the problem & fix it right then. I had a $20 coupon that required me to spend $200. My bill came to $197 - they still let me use the coupon (which I appreciated!). I would use them again.

 + -1 moreWe had to keep calling Jarboe's Plumbing Heating Cooling Electric wrong. They hooked the plumbing up all wrong. They seemed to not be diligent in knowing what they're doing. We would not work with them again. They were totally horrible to deal with. When they hooked the plumbing up wrong, it caused the sewage to come back into the house. My husband had to take off work to meet with them and tell them what they had to do. The repairman was very personable and nice, but seemed scattered. He couldn't bring the parts. He couldn't do this. He had to go back for that. He was just not organized at all. They didn't come right over when we had the sewage back-up.

I told them that I had a renter in the house and they called them to arrange a time. They were on time and called me with an estimate of what they had found. They also explained that what they thought was the other issue we had discussed and once they verified what it was, they called me back and gave me a price. Once the job was done, the very courteous person called me and got my credit card information. I asked if they could mail me a receipt and she said it would not be an issue. I was very happy with the company and will definitely use them again if needed.

 + 0 moreMy unit went out in July and the company charge me $75.00 to come out, they sent a man who didn't really knew what he was doing, and did'nt know what was wrong with the furnace. So he wrote a list of things stated to my terms: A LOT OF MAYBE!!!!! And the charges to fix the MAYBE!!!!! was TOO TOO COSTLY.

 + -1 moreThe experience was great. For what we had done and the odd time we had it done, the payment was what we expected and probably lower than what was expected. The guy that came out was punctual and friendly. He did reasonable stuff.
Description of Work: I used Jarboe's Plumbing Heating Cooling Electric to replace a shut off valve to a toilet and the toilet was running continuously. Not only could we not shut it off, it ran at a good rate; it was alarming the amount of water that was going out. He rebuilt the toilet to a better degree than it was previously.

 + 1 moreWent well, see earlier description. Got the drain cleared, the Plumber, Brian and his Tech did a great job, were courteous, wore the bootie protection on their shoes and were here quickly.
Description of Work: Had some sewage backing up into a tub and at the backflow valve at the main washout. This, of course, had to happen on a Saturday evening, so I quickly go to Angie's List to find a plumber that had good reviews that I could get out here to take a look at it. When I called, I got a live person (yeah!), and they told me a tech would call back shortly with what time they would arrive. The tech called within 15 min and said they'd be at the house in 45 min. They did show up with a helper 45 min later at 8:45pm. When they came the house they checked the main backflow area, saw it backed up and then brought their snake machine into the house in an attempt to clear the line. After about 30 min and removal of some 'stuff' from the line, the the drain was cleared. The Tech had me run all the faucets, showers, flush toilets to get a good flow of water going through the drain to ensure it wouldn't back up before they left. They cleaned up, then said, we'd be getting a call from the office to schedule a drain scope where they will send a camera down the line and look for any potential obstructions. Reason for this is this is the second time in 18 months this has happened and the home is less than 10 years old. Jarboe wants to make sure there is not some settiling with the drain line to the ain sewer line; settling for example. Since it was a Sat. evening there was the usual trip charge plus a hefty fee to do the job with their snake equipment. While not thrilled about it, I did need to get it fixed since the family needs to use facilities, etc., the fact it was the weekend and everyone is home all day, and lastly, the house just smelled plain nasty and needed to get the backed up tub in basement (where it backflowed to) cleaned out.

 + -1 moreThere was a tremendous amount of digging required to create the pit and lay the pipe. The two men involved worked well past dark to finish the job. They were very professional throughout. My only negative comment is the lack of resurfacing done after the job. It was late and I think that factored into the finished product of the landscaping. The plumbing job is ship shape and the price very fair for what they accomplished. I'll definitely use them again. It's a very honest company They were able to accomplish this job approximately 10 days after I first contacted them, so the timeliness was outstanding.
Description of Work: Jarboe's installed a backflow prevention device at my marina. They dug a pit to install the device and then layed a 30' underground release pipe.

I believe Joe was the person that came out to do work. He arrived on time, dressed was neat and professional. Joe was very personable, courteous, explained what he was doing, very thorough and performed duties well. Could not totally fix problem but assured me that water pipes were operating properly and should not cause any damage.
Description of Work: Checked water pipes, caulked around faucet in bathtub.

I had only one problem the trap leaked after they left and I called them back and they had someone out there the very next day early in the morning. Great people to work with.

 + -1 moreThe toilet replacement was easy. The cost to repair the old one was quoted to be within $20 of replacing it entirely, so we replaced the toilet. It seemed a bit expensive, but our goal was to get them to also fix the second floor tub leak. The rep they sent was competent in fixing the toilet. He said there was no problem with the bathtub drain and offered to recaulk the tub/shower, but would not warrant his work. Two days later the leak was back and water was coming through the ceiling. I called Jarboe's back and they said they would send someone out. Two days later I spoke to the rep, who never did go back to the house. One of the reasons I chose Jarboe's was because they offered such a large array of services. The rep and I discussed the situation, and he stated that he would not go back to the house. There was no existing access panel, and since it wasn't the drain, he was done. I called Jarboe's the next day to discuss the matter with their service manager. He was out, so I left a message. Two days later I received a call, which was basically that the rep denied my version of events, and said he would have had to charge me more money, which I would have agreed to for more work done. Bottom line? I obtained a referral to a local handyman who willingly installed an access panel, located and repaired the leak, and repaired the kitchen ceiling including repainting the entire ceiling. All work done to my specs for $590. I will never contact Jarboe's again. Their loss - they could have had the plumbing,a heating and cooling service contract and any future remodeling. They need to get their marketing to match their service team.
Description of Work: Jarboes did replace a first floor toilet. They did NOT fix the upstairs bathtub leak that was coming through the 1st floor kitchen ceiling. All the work was for a rental home we own. They stated they had no problem working with out-of-state owners.

Description of Work: They repaired pin hole leaks in the copper plumbing by taking out dry wall and splicing in new ptex piping . They arrived on time and were very neat in their approach and cleaned up great. Their subcontractor who did the dry wall replacement was also very good. They were a little pricey but I don't mnd paying a little more for good work.

 + 1 moreI took advantage of a free estimate and priced out a few repairs. Ultimately, I decided on only replacing the water heater vent. On both the day of repair and day of estimate, they were very punctual and professional. They even donned little blue plastic booties! The two men who came over for the repair were excellent! They were friendly, but went straight to work. The water heater is in the cellar and vents up through an area in my bathroom floor and into an old chimney flue. The two men made quick work of coming back and forth between the cellar and bathroom. A coordinated effort was needed for the final touches. They cleaned up the area well and if it weren't for it being fixed, you would have never known they were there! As they finished up, I mentioned I was having a problem with my jetted tub. Since it has an easy access to the motor and "guts" they took a peek. They quickly had a simple solution that did just the trick. What a helpful little freebie! I love these guys. Whenever I have any type of plumbing needs in the further, I'll be happy to give these guys a call!

 + 0 moreI made an appointment with Jarboe's and received a reminder call two days prior to their visit. Two representatives from Jarboe's - Greg and Tony - arrived on time the date of service and put on shoe guards before entering my home. I showed them three issues on which I wanted quotes. They quickly diagnosed the problems, gave me a fair quote that I accepted, and got to work. The leaky pipe they fixed was located in my garage ceiling, above drywall that I removed before they arrived. They mentioned that it was in a tricky location, and they may have to go in from the floor above but would try to avoid it. Luckily, they were able to do so, avoiding further damage to my home. They were in and out, with all issues corrected, in about an hour. I was charged exactly as quoted. They were friendly and more than willing to answer questions. They even unclogged a bathroom sink drain for free! This is the first time I have used Jarboe's, and I will definitely be calling the next time I have a plumbing issue.
Description of Work: 1) Fixed a leaky pipe that ran under my shower and dripped into the garage below, 2) Replaced major toilet components, 3) Unclogged a bathroom sink drain.

 + 0 moreLG&E replaced gas service along our street. Before hooking houses back up, they performed a pressure test and my house failed. Jarboe's came out that day, performed their own test and fixed the leaks. They missed a couple of them, but came back out the next day at no additional charge to finish the job. I really appreciate that they came back out at their own expense to make everything right. That is why I continue to use Jarboe's for all of my plumbing.
