Iron Crafters provides many services including customized exterior iron hand railing, gates, fence, window guards and security doors. We provide interior baluster replacement where we switch out old wooden rail pickets with decorative iron. Entry door replacement with energy star rated fiberglass or steel. Vinyl window replacement with energy star products.

Description of Work: Basically, I called iron crafters to have new iron railings put up both sides of our steps to be in compliance with city codes, and a young sales rep named Ben came. We picked a pattern, and Ben talked me into a matching security door with the side windows of the door done, as well. He said he would get back with us on a Friday. |We were really excited and ready to get the back door done, and the deck rails, and bars on all the windows of our 2 story 900 ft garage! Iron fever hit! |Ben did not get back with us on Fri. Ben did email a estimate for the door Mon 9/29/14, and said he was working the rails, after I called twice and emailed. At one point Ben set an appointment to measure the steps again, and did not come. I called, and left a message with his co-worker. No response. So, I emailed and he said he didn't get the message, and arranged another meeting. Again, and did not come again. I emailed again, and Ben emailed back stating he was being treated for an illness. That won my heart, so I waited, and then emailed again. ...a few more emails in between...My last email was November 11, 14.(Our initial meeting was, I believe, 9/24/14) I never heard from Ben, again. I hope he is well with him, now. Ben said it was a family owned company, and that he was close friends with the family. If he was so ill that he could not take care of customers, and it was necessary for him to work, they should have made other arrangements. The whole affair made me sad. We went with wood railings, because we already had the experience of receiving bad products and services from 2 other iron companies.:(

We are very sorry you had this experience getting a quote for iron work from us. We take a great deal of pride in our customer service. Being our first negative review on Angie's List, this really takes notice. In the 8 months that have passed, memories have faded on the detailed specifics, but we did work on some custom railing designs. We have no record of a missed appointment but we did cancel an appointment since a final design had not been chosen. It's evident we were not clear with our process and follow-up with you. Please accept our sincere apologies and know that we have implemented better procedures for continued business.

I called to get an estimate on a security door and one of the owners showed up promptly for the appointment to measure and order the door. When the door came in they called to set an appointment to install the door. They showed up early & did the installation. The customer service & product that I received was top notch & I am very happy with my door. I will definitely use them again.

We stopped in the showroom on a Saturday. Kim greeted us. She was very polite, helpful and very knowledgeable about the products they sell/ install. They have many designs options to choose from. Iron Crafters web site proved to be helpful in deciding which hand rail might look the best on our home. I called back the following week for an appointment. Harold came and measured and answered all my questions. ( which I always have many ) We returned to the showroom about 1 week later. This time we spoke with Debbie. She was just as polite and helpful as Kim. We finalized our design and we were told it would be 4 weeks until the install. Debbie called about 4 weeks later to schedule the install. The installer ( can't remember his name) was on time and installed the railing as we wanted. He cleaned up what little mess he made and also made sure I was satisfied with the work he did.

After contacting another company who tried to quote the job by phone without bringing samples or viewing the site, we contacted Iron Crafters. They promptly made and kept the appointment, bringing pictures, samples and measuring before calling us back same day with a quote of cost and date estimate to installation. After making a deposit the rail and installation occurred exactly on schedule. Craftsmanship for rail and the installation were perfect. We are extremely satisfied. Everyone we had contact with was courteous and professional.
Description of Work: A solid iron hand rail for steps leading to front entry of home. The rail has decorative spindles and special color finish.

They were just great! I got estimates from 4 other companies. One of the companies quoted $700 HIGHER than Iron Crafters! I intended for a single hung in the bedroom, but they gave me a double hung at no additional charge! They were very easy to deal with and gave excellent customer service!

THEY MAKE A GOOD PRODUCT. THEY DO THE WORK VERY WELL. I WENT TO THE SHOW ROOM AND PICKED OUT THE DOORS I LIKED. THEY OFFERED GOOD SECURITY AND WERE DECORATIVE. THEY CAME OUT AND MADE MEASUREMENTS, THEN GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE. I FIGURED THE PRICE WAS ABOUT RIGHT.
