Hometown Hauling is a locally owned and operated residential garbage service. We offer a premium service at a very affordable price with no additional charges. We treat people like we would like to be treated and our hope is that in return we will earn their loyalty. Our curb side collection service includes a 96 gallon rolling cart plus up to two 33 gallon carts or bags each week. We provide a discount for seniors over 55 years of age.

Had a horrible experience at 6 this morning the driver of the trash truck did not pick my trash up instead he knocked it over into my driveway and just left it he pulled up in front of my house blowing his horn waking up my infant grandchildren not to mention I had just got home from the hospital at 4 a.m. and I'm on crutches and this guy wants to take me into the street

Paid for 3 Month Service. Had to call them every week to inform them that they missed my house, every week for the first 8 weeks. So I fired them and the people on the phone were rude. Still waiting for my refund for the last month, not holding my breath.

This is the most awful company on the planet! They refuse to pick up my garbage, I had a few extra bags beside my can they were supposed to pick up. Their employee cursed at us because there were extra bags instead of picking them up. I called in and let customer service know what was going on and they promised they would send someone out today to pick everything up. They claimed that someone came out with a truck, but the garbage was still on the curb. So I called back in and spoke to the owner, his name is Bob. He was excessively rude and refuse to listen to me after asking me what was going on. He just kept rudely talking over me and acting hostile. I tried to explain to the man that his trash pickup Personnel cursed at my family and the person they sent out to pick up the trash after his original garbage man did not do his job also refused to do his job and the garbage was still in the yard. His employee tried to claim there was dozens or more bags when there was not. I sent him a full email explaining the situation and had pictures of the bags that they had left yesterday and another photo of how many was still there today. He was dead Set On Believing his employee that said these bags are too heavy to pick up. He attempted to explain to me that his employee could easily bench 350 pounds but he still had no ability to pick up these bags. I sent him a photo of my 170 pound son holding a bag and two photos of me picking up a bag with one arm. I explained to him that I'm physically disabled due to my back, neck, my ankle, hip and blood pressure problems. I'm very much disabled. But I was able to pick up a bag with one arm. The email and photos made him more hostile and he said he was going to come to my house with his truck to remove the trash. He brought one of his employees and instead of removing the trash he forced us to put all the bags in the back of his truck while refusing to let the tailgate down. His truck had a lift on it and the edge of his bed was about Chin high to me. He made a disabled person pick bags of trash up and throw them over the edge of his bed while rudely standing there and watching with his employee. This caused me to re-aggravate an injury, I'm calling an attorney because of this scumbag. You pay for their service and they refused to render proper service. I canceled my service with them and went to Rumpke. When I spoke to their customer service Personnel at Rumpke she was disgusted at what she had heard that happened to me and my son. She explained that they would have no problem hauling off extra bags, larger items or anything else we needed as long as we call them in. They said it's actually normal for them to take a full trash can and up to 8 bags of trash with no problem whatsoever. It's apparent Hometown hauling has a serious disgust and Loathing for their customers. I intend to file suit for the physical damages caused by this moron forcing me to pick up bags of garbage and reggravating an injury. If this moron would have paid attention to what I was saying instead of talking over me he would have heard that I record all conversations on my cell phone because I'm a businessman and sometimes clients can be deceptive. I also have the email with the photos explaining that I'm disabled but this douchebag forced me to pick up bags of trash iregardless of my disabilities. Not only is the owner scum of the Earth he's also an excessively ignorant human being. I hope the lawsuit causes so much pain and suffering like he is causing my back and neck now.

We do have a weekly limit which is explained in our welcome letter as well as on our website. From notes on your account, it looks like we came back and removed all bags except for ones that broke. I apologize if our driver was rude. That will be dealt with by his supervisor.

They performed as expected until last year. The regular driver was replaced with a new driver. He would not pick up all garbage at the apartments. For years we had 1-2 trash bins plus regular garbage cans and loose bags, as we were told they would pickup the bins and up to two 35 gallon other trash cans and several trash bags.The original driver picked it all up for 3 or 4 years . The new driver only picked up the 1-2 trash bins. We called and the female associate explained they would only pick up the bin plus up to two cans. Then the new driver passed up the apartments without picking up anything a couple of times. My husband called and was told a vehicle was parked on the street. Which didn't make sense because the previous driver would always roll the 55 gallon bins to the truck. It happened again in mid March; he called and requested to speak to a manager. A male told him they were only going to pick up the trash bin only, no extra cans or bags. They argued about what was supposed to be picked up. The male was rude and argumentive. We cancelled the service. We had already paid through the end of March but the next week the driver DUMPED the garbage out of the bin onto the ground! My husband called back and the same male denied what happened. But we had pictures of before and after and two tenants took picture one from 2 different building. They finally came back and cleaned up the mess. We were flabbergasted that they would change the rules and treat a long term customer that way. We transferred our service to Rumpke who agreed to pick up a bin plus up to 10 bags. We will never use Hometown Hauling again.
Description of Work: We used hometown hauling for almost six years for multiple accounts. They solicited my husband and he liked their price and started giving them his business. They are a trash company that picks up garbage weekly. We had 5-8 houses under contract plus two 4-plex apartments.

That recommendation was refused. We could not continue to remove the large amount of trash that was being placed out without additional compensation.

I love this company! They are by far the BEST garbage collection service in the Louisville area. I have used their services for about the last two and a half years. A large can is included with the service (I'm sorry, I do not know the size in gallons, but I believe it is around 55lbs or more?). They are on time each week for my pickup and always arrive around the same time. For the price of the service, you are allowed one large item per week, which is wonderful. Several times I have been washing my SUV or tending the yard when the truck arrives and the servicemen are very nice and professional. Dressed very clean and the trucks are very nice and clean. They always return my cans to the spot I keep them after pickup. I highly recommend this company for you trash collection needs.

It's a privately owned company. They bill me correctly. They have an easy online payment system. They're better than other companies I've had. When they empty my garbage, and spill things they pick it up. My overall experience with them has been excellent.
