+ -1 moreHe's careful, he's smart, he's personable and he's very, very, painstaking. Also patient, methodical, trustworthy, polite, and all in all a great guy. I trust him implicitly. The world needs more Genes! I should probably mention that the "cost" above includes all materials (windows, doors, insulation, siding, roofing, etc.).
Description of Work: Thanks to Gene, my 200-year-old farmhouse should be around for another century. Over an 8-year period, he has (among other things) ... Designed and built a 30' back porch (with screened section) from the ground up Replaced all my windows with double-insulated EE models Added a French door Replaced another door Insulated and sided half the house (the other half is solid brick) Fixed my foundation Leveled several floors Tied the front porch back onto my house Reroofed the house (roll roofing) Repaired the fireplace insert Done various bits of plumbing and wiring as needed Run new wire from the service entrance to a feed shed He has also done repair and remodeling work on my mother's house and for several friends. Everyone has been happy.
