The company called in advance of their arrival as promised and actually asked if they could come early, which I agreed to. The technician had some difficulty removing the lid from our septic tank and had to borrow some tools from me to pry it off. He was polite throughout my dealings with him. When he presented me with the bill, it was $20 higher than what I had been quoted. When I questioned this, he said the invoices are prepared in the office and given to the driver, so he didn't know why it was higher. I paid the bill I was given, then called the company's office to question the amount.They did agree I had been overcharged. It took three phone calls and about three weeks to get them to send me my $20 refund. The person who assisted me in the office as helpful and polite during my phone calls, but had to rely on her supervisors to cut my refund check. Their pumping cost was $245, with a $10 fuel charge. They charge an extra $20 on top of that if they have to do any digging.
