Energy Control Heating & Air Conditioning

Our Rheem A/C Unit was installed by EC in this brand new house in November 2009. This Rheem Model A/C unit has had recalls due to faulty leaking Evaporator Coils made by Rheem Mfg Co. Our Coil was replaced by EC and worked properly several more years until 2015 when Freon first started leaking. EC very responsive at first trying to fix problem but leaks very tiny and hard to find. Kept recharging Freon until unit ran dry every 2-3 weeks and needed Freon recharge. EC did everything they were capable of but couldn't locate & fix problem of leaking Freon loss. We hired several Contractor's with more sophisticated detection equipment and multiple small leaks have been located on both Coils. Any leakage from Freon transmission lines not determined as we will have those replaced anyway with new system installation. Hopefully we will get 10 Years Parts/Labor Warranty with a new tightly sealed Freon distribution system and some piece of mind for a change. Energy Control company are very nice people and provided flawless service for years and our issues were probably more the result of Rheem Companies defective parts than any other reason. I wouldn't continue for that reason.

Shawn was recommended to me for my whole home renovation. I showed him our floor plan and we walked through our roughed-in house. He was able to make on-the-spot recommendations for the type and size units we could install and left the decision up to us. When it came time to install the units, his two man crew was able to install our 2:1 split unit in a few hours in the evening after my work hours. They were a great, clean crew. Professional attire and on time. I'd use these guys again -- in fact, I did, when it came time to install the second split unit. SAME GUYS came out 1 year later and knocked it out in no time. Energy Controls is now saved in my Contacts list.

I use the same one year after year. They come in spring and fall. I’ve been very, very happy with them. This is a fairly new house – it’s 3 years old. They are the ones who installed it, so I went back through them and have been very happy with them. They are very professional, very prompt, very personable, I like them a lot. Super. Professionalism is an absolute A.

Well. The were very helpful. But $33 for two minutes or less rising outside of condenser coil was a little steep.

These guys are the best. My A/C had stopped working - hearing a buzz and the fan was not running on the actual unit. I had called on a Saturday and they were VERY responsive. Kevin returned my call immediately and the service technician was out at the house within 2 hours. Great service - much better than some of the larger companies in the Louisville area, which I've had negative interactions with.

Amazing service and fantastic people. I can't say enough how happy I am that I found this company. after dealing with over priced and dishonest HVAC companies over the years I was referred to Energy Control by a friend. I have had them out a couple times over the last few years and they are honest almost to a fault. Always onetime, friendly, fair and do a great job. I have referred them to family, friends and coworkers and all have been happy. If you need a good job done at a fair price and have piece of mind that they are not charging you for stuff that is not really wrong or overcharging you for a simple fix them I assurer you these are your guys.

Our air conditioner went out on one of the hottest weeks of the year. (Of course, don't they always?) To make it worse, my husband was about to have major surgery and was worried about his family. A good friend recommended Energy Control, and my husband called and explained the situation. The owner of the company not only made sure we received a new air conditioner in record time, but the product was top of the line and energy efficient. The price was excellent also. My husband even received a get well card and prayers for his quick recovery. We couldn't be more pleased!

They were friendly, prompt, courteous, and honest.

They were persistent in locating the problem. They fixed it and it has worked great since. They had a great attitude and excellent customer service. Even though it took a while to figure out this unusual problem, because it was a minor repair they did not charge us for the service.

I had the old Carrier unit that used freon and it finally gasped its last breath. I contacted 3 installers and Energy Control had the middle estimate at $2070.00. Actually the estimate was a little more than $2300.00 but a 10% discount brought it down to the lower figure if I payed in full on the date of completion. I received the estimate on a Tuesday, faxed over the accepted proposal on Thursday and planned the install for the following Tuesday. An unexpected obstacle at my job led me to re-schedule the install two days later on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. Two young gentlemen arrived at my home about 8:55 a.m. Thursday morning and immediately got to work. The work continued smoothly until they had to run out for about 45 minutes (I think to get a part maybe) but they finished the job shortly upon their return. All told I believe the entire job took about 4 - 5 hours, actually less than the 6 hours I had anticipated. Both men were efficient and professional and served as an excellent representation for their company. I would highly recommend Energy Control to anyone in the market for a heating or cooling installation.

I HAVE A GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM. HE TOOK THE AIR CONDITIONER HOME AND REPAIRED IT AT HOME. HE WENT OUT OF HIS WAY FOR ME. HE COULDN'T ACTUALLY ORDER THE PART IT NEEDED SO HE HAD TO CREATE A REPLACEMENT PART.
