He arrived within the specified time frame. Instead of trying to unclog the drains from the bathroom, he went to the basement to the main drain. He was very efficient in getting both the bathtub drain and the bathroom sink drain working properly. I thought the price was reasonable and the coupon from Angie's List saved me $25. I will also get a discount on the next plumbing job when I use Davis and Davis again.

Had stopped up drain. It was cleared quickly.

Jason and the guys were prompt, professional, and reasonably priced. I would recommend them to my friends and family.

I have now used Davis and Davis for a water heater replacement, as well as other plumbing needs including toilet replacement and pump replacements for both sump and sewer. They have always been on time, completed the work well, been neat and more than thorough. The office communicates well when the unexpected comes up.The details involved when this much work is done at one time almost insure something will be an unexpected issue. These were handled well, and when even out of Davis and Davis' control, they stayed involved and served effectively to help solve the problem.No doubt we will continue to consider Davis and Davis our plumbing provider as issues arise. We can be demanding consumers and give them a "10."

They didn't do that nice a job, but they were on time. They were professional and I may use them again in the future.

They were clean, prompt, and respectful. They covered their shoes whenever they came in and out of the house. I thought they were great and would recommend them.

Davis and Davis was on time, they completed the work on time. Very professional all the time here. They came the very day after my estimate at 8:30 A.M. and was done about 2P.M. They put in a new water heater first, then capped to old gas lines that wasn't used anymore. Then put in an outside faucet. They repaired a vent pipe connection to my kitchen sink. They redone a drain to my washer in the basement. Overall I'd call them tommorrow for any plumbing needs I'd have. Highly reccomend them to anyone. Price was a fair price. Charles Hardy

He came here at four o'clock in the morning to install a new water heater. It was one person who did it all. His communication was very good, and I was very pleased with his work. I contacted the general contractor to get an estimate for some work to be done in our house. However, I have not decided on using him yet. I would definitely recommend Davis & Davis Plumbing Inc. to anyone.

I got an estimate last year to disconnect from my well and hook up to city water. The well is lousy water and sucks up mud also. I got an estimate from 3 companies, one being Davis and Davis. All were within $200.00 of each other. I had to save for a year since installing the meter was over $4000 with the water company and another $3900 from a plumber to run the line from the meter. When I went back to Davis and Davis over a year later, they were willing to stick with their initial estimate and I agreed to install the line. They put in a work order with permit with the water company so they could install the meter. After the meter was installed, I contacted them and told Davis & Davis when I would be off and the best time to install the line. They gave me a date and I said OK. The two individuals who did the work were very nice and professional. They arrived on time, worked on the project and never bothered me at all. When I went out to check on them, they were always working even though the temperature was in the high 90's and they answered all the questions I asked about. The original estimate called for 1 1/4" line and they installed 1 1/2" instead which I felt was better although I am not a plumber. The other estimates called for the same size. When they were done, they backfilled the hole and cleaned up all of their materials. The water pressure is better than before and I can really tell the difference between the well and water company water. I will save in the long run on maintenance of appliances due to the hard well water a well as the mud it was sucking up. The lack of using 5 bags of salt every couple months for the really hard water is a great start and not having to buy bottled water any longer is tremendous. I have used Davis & Davis before to repair my well when the pump went out and thought they did a good job then also. I have used Davis & Davis one other time. I used to own a laundrymat and I developed a gas leak in my gas lines in several locations due the old age of the pipes. They accomplished that job as well and most of the expenses then was sent to the owner of the building I rented. I paid only charges to hook dryers to the gas lines. Since my first experience, I felt that they could be trusted. I believe they might be a little expensive, but; like I stated, the other two estimates were also close to the one Davis & Davis gave me.

I had an appointment for 8am. I was at the house at 7:50am. No one showed by 9am so I called the office. Was told that Keith Davis was my plumber, that he had been on an emergency call last night, and must still be involved in that job. They tried, unsuccessfully, to contact him while I was on hold. Told me that they would contact him and have him let me know when he would get to me. He/they never called me back. He showed up at 11am (three hours late). No explanation or apology. Just gave me his business card and started assessing the job. Quoted a price of $850 which I thought was high but I needed the work done to make schedule for work by other contractors the next day. I accepted the bid and he went back to his shop for supplies. Upon reconsideration I decided the quote was too high and I would rather delay the project than pay too much for the work. I contacted Keith at his shop, expressed my concern about the price. He told me we could adjust the price and he could have the work completed by 6pm. It was now approximately 12:30pm. I agreed to proceed with the work. Keith arrived back at my house at about 1:30pm. He requoted the job at $692. I thought the price was still too high and declined to have the work done at which time he told me that I was going to pay him to do the job or pay him for his time he had invested in the job getting supplies. At this point I felt like I was forced to accept his bid as I was going to pay him whether he did the work or not. I felt like I had been hustled. In hindsight I should have insisted on a requoted before he came back to my house. I think an honest business man would feel the same way and want his/her customer to feel satisfied that they got a fair deal. As I said before, I felt like I had been hustled. He completed the job by 6pm as he said he would. His workmanship appeared to be first rate. I cannot discredit the man's plumbing abilities but his tactics for acquiring work will force me to look elsewhere for future plumbing needs. In fairness to the others at Davis and Davis Plumbing I have to note the following: The staff in the office that I talked to were very professional and courteous. I have had 2 other crews from this company do work for me in the past and was pleased with results.

They were prompt and came immediately. They wore shoe covers to not mess up my floors. I was fully informed about the cost of the repair before work began. However, they price by the job and not by an hourly labor rate. Therefore, the technician felt like he could stop the leaking by tightening the washer nut but if that didn't solve it, he would have to replace the entire valve stem. I was going to be charged for two separate charges according to some rate book. Therefore, I opted to just go with replacing the valve to avoid double charges. Overall, I was pleased with the work. I just didn't like their pricing structure.
