Dauenhauer Plumbing

Dauenhauer was AMAZING through what turned out to be a very complicated and difficult situation, due to no fault of their own. Alan came out and dug out the broken pipe, replaced the broken section, found a second broken section and replaced it, added an access point, and snaked the line as far as he could. He called out a colleague, Bob, who has the heavier equipment, and had Bob put a camera down to find where the block was. Bob discovered that the block was actually on my neighbor's property. Surprise! Apparently, when my house was built in 1900, they used to join two houses' drainage pipes together before joining the city sewer system. So my pipe joined the neighbors just across the property line, and then much further down there was an impassable block. Without legal documents from the neighbor, we couldn't do anything further. Theoretically, the responsibility to fix the block was on them. So, naively, I called the neighbor's property manager (I own my house, my neighbors rent), thinking that she would of course want to repair a plumbing blockage in her line. Instead, the property manager absolutely refused to do the repairs necessary to fix their own plumbing line. Since my house was lower, they also continued to run water down their drains, causing their sewage to back up to my house. Delightful. To make a very long story short, she consistently lied to me, to Dauenhauer, and to the renters. Because the lines were completely blocked, I was not able to put any water down my drains without it backing up onto the property. The property manager next door stonewalled for two weeks. Dauenhauer regularly checked back in to see if the neighbor had fixed the block, and after a couple check-ins they escalated to their Customer Service Specialist, Amy, who is fantastic. She worked directly with the Property Manager next door and coordinated with her supervisors and with the plumbers who had come out to my house to try to figure out all the possible options to find a solution for me. Two weeks after they first came out - during which time I had made absolutely zero progress trying to get the landlord to actually repair their own property, even after getting the city involved - Dauenhauer had managed to get the property manager to give them permission to go onto her property to do the work. Steve and Bob came out, snaked the entire line (130 feet!) through some very difficult clogs, and got me back up and running in just a couple hours. I could not believe how quickly they were able to help me resolve what just earlier this morning looked like an absolutely impossible situation. My only other option was to get my own access point to the city sewer and have Dauenhauer lay new plumbing from my house to the sewer. Due to the difficulties of working with the city sewage department, that would have been an easy 5-figure expense and a 4-6 week process. So you cannot imagine how delighted I am to have water for 2% what I thought I'd have to spend, two months before I thought I'd have it, and without having to sue the next door neighbor to fix it. Not only did Dauenhauer do great work, they consistently went above and beyond and did absolutely everything imaginable to help me get a solution as quickly as possible. Immensely appreciative and impressed!!

Done the same day. Hot water that evening. Service person, was professional, knowledgeable, competent. Everything cleaned up. Very satisfied.

They came out and assed the problem. They fixed one problem in one bathroom and they thought they had it fixed and they realized it was another issue and they did not raise the cost. They are a really good company. I have used them for other needs.

I was able to get an appointment the next morning. Jason called 15 minutes prior to his arrival and after assessing the faucet and the plumbing in the basement, explained what needed to be done and provided the estimate for the work. He replaced the faucet with a 1/4-turn handle, tested everything, and sealed the brickwork around the faucet very quickly and efficiently. Jason was knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous; I will definitely call Dauenhauer Plumbing if I need their services in the future.

My wife was given a cost of $249.00 after the plumber evaluated the job. He knew exactly what needed to be done, including cutting and removing a 12 inches x 12 inches dry wall. He was finished with the job in kess that 1/2 an hour! At the end he gave her an invoice for almost $375.00. She did nit argue and paid. The next day I called the office to complain. They said they would call back but never did. This is ridiculously expensive for 1/2 hour work. The joint even leaked! The plumber cut the pipe to replace at a point where it was difficult to make the joint. He could have cut it a few inches further for a much easier joint, but he would have used an extra elbow, which he choose not to do. An extra elbow would have cost him a couple of extra dollars?? I guess he did nit charge me enough. Overall, these plumbers are taking advantage on people every chance they could. Would not use then again or recommend them

They were terrific. After looking through the house and beneath it, the repair man found that there was a fan on in the crawl space beneath the floor that chilled the area enough to produce ice the pipe leading from the furnace to the pipes upstairs. The problem was fixed within an hour and the I have had no problems since.

Was put in correctly but they are too expensive.

They were fast and efficient and got the job done. The technician was pleasant and clean. He arrived on time and did a very good job.

The sink drain was snaked and the piping was fixed to run properly. Great service was provided.

fellow came out, inspected it and said that I needed to regrout the floor where the tub meets. Did not charge me a dime which was so appreciated. He came out about 7:30 that evening; I had called about 4 hours before. their punctuality, their honesty, and generous attitude toward my welfare were outstanding. I will employ Danhauer for anything, anytime!

One person came out and it took two hours. He left the area clean. He was professional.

Placed call for service at 8:05 am. Service scheduled for 11:00 am same day. Service tech Jamie arrived promptly at 11:00. Job was completed exactly as requested. Jamie was very nice to work with. Dauenhauer has been doing plumbing jobs for me for more than 10 years. I would definitely recommend them. & they offer a discount for Angie's list users.

All work performed done very well. Discovered where our leak was at our basement bar sink faucet. Unfortunately, he did not have the correct part for our Delta faucet. I have received the parts directly from Delta and the work will be done at no charge. Very satisfied with work that was done.

A bit pricey I thought, but other than that A+ all around.

The job went fine. Minor complaint that the plumber didn't ask or verify the type of sink that we were using in one of the bathrooms, and I actually had to reroute both the water and the drain to fit under the sink cabinet. We already had the cabinet when he did the work, but he never asked about it, and it didn't occur to me to show it to him. Similarly with the bathtub faucet: he never asked me about my plans about the thickness of the finished tiles, which is pretty important! I had to play around a little with shims to make sure that the plumbing comes out flush with the surface. On the positive side, the plumber did top quality job on copper pipes and drains. Nice solder joints. I'm sure they will last a century.

Great! Worked with Cotton who did some maneuvering of the flapper and the ball **** and figured out the issue. He worked very quickly and explained what the issue was.

Mark was very friendly and professional. Repairs were done quickly. He went above and beyond our expectations. I would definitely call again if I need further work in the future.

They found the leak and fixed a few others things and we're done in no time.
