Description of Work: We requested an estimate for installation of a gas line. The employee was courteous & punctual the day he was scheduled to come out. We were told we would receive an email with an estimate. Our neighbor used the same company & got an estimate the same day. 2 days after our visit, I called to find out when we would receive our estimate. The person who answered said she would get a message to the person who came to our home & he would get back with us. 7 days after the scheduled visit, we still had not received an estimate. I called again & the person who answered put me on hold. When she came back, she said she had spoken with the employee who came to our home & assured me we would have an estimate the next day. At the end of the 8th day, we still have not received an estimate. If there is some kind of problem, an emailed explanation for phone call would be appreciated, but we have yet to get any information from the company. It's hard to understand how our neighbor, who requested the same service to be performed, had their scheduled visit a week after us, yet received their quote before us.

Description of Work: If I could have told the future and had water line protection as offered in the monthly water bill, I would have. Short of that, it was nice to work with a company that knows what they're doing and stands behind their work. They worked hard to come in under their proposal and still stay on time and do a complete job. They're a little higher in cost, but they make up for it in quality and customer courtesy.

Description of Work: DAUENHAUER came out at no cost and gave me an estimate to replace the old water line to the dishwasher with a new braided line. I scheduled them to come back when the host water could be turned off (condo) and promptly fixed my lines. Easy to work with and schedule; did what they said they would do, on time and within estimate.

Description of Work: replace outside faucet and pipe. It had burst.

Description of Work: Kitchen faucet was leaking. They determined it had to be replaced and did not charge for that visit. The new faucet did not have a long enough stem so they pointed me to the correct manufacturer and did not charge for that visit. I will always use Dauenhauer plumbing for all my needs.

Description of Work: They located a shutoff valve for an outside hose bib. The valve was enclosed by the finished ceiling of the basement. The plumber had to make two cuts in the ceiling - I wish it could have been done with only one, but we had no information on the location.

Description of Work: Right before I was supposed to leave on a trip for work, we had a major bathroom sink issue - which turned into a drain problem and shut-off valve problem. My husband had Dauenhauer out to do an estimate. We were extremely interested because they promised no outrageous charges if we had to have the work done outside of "normal" hours. The estimate came back at an outrageous amount. The gentleman with the company was trying to convince my husband that we needed to rip out half the bathroom, and then half of the main piping downstairs. | |Needless to say, we didn't use them. My brother suggested a local plumber he uses for his house and business. The gentleman came out, fixed and replaced the things we were having problems with. This licensed plumber charged us 1/10th of what Dauenhauer tried quoting us. Very disappointed in our experience since they had decent ratings and always have local commercials on.

Description of Work: Moved drain vent that was in the way of kitchen renovation and cleared a clogged drain.

Description of Work: 2 pipes came apart so the plumber just joined them and didn't charge a dime.

Description of Work: Used them a couple of times. They always do a good job. They do seem to often have run out and get a part though, which makes the jobs go a bit longer. (I do think we might have "non-standard" plumbing.) They arrive within the scheduled window and are pleasant and professional.

Description of Work: Replaced a 75 gallon water heater. A little disappointed in the quality of the workmanship (they dented the water heater) but it is a 400 pound water heater that had to go in the basement so it was a bit of a tough job. |It was quite expensive, a water heater replacement is quick and easy except for the weight of this one and disposal of the old one.

Description of Work: Replaced the water service line from the meter at the curb up to and including the shut-off valve inside the foundation wall. They rescheduled the work once due to repeated delay in arriving on the first scheduled day. Two minor issues during the construction, but overall good quality and courteous, proficient workmen. On an overall scale of 0-100 we would have rated them at 90-95. We would use them again.

Description of Work: We had a kitchen sink plumbing problem and calld Dauenhauer at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. They promised to show up between 5-10 p.m. At 5:20 p.m., the technician showed up and, within an hour, had the problem resolved. Cost $189.99 to snake the sink a few times, minus the $40 online Angie's list coupon, and we were very happy with the final pricetag of $149.99.
