The service went better than expected. The plumber called 30 minutes before arriving. He showed up on-time. He was able to quickly correct problems that my handyman was unable to and he did so for a reasonable cost and did not try to sell me anything I did not need.

I had called LG&E out once before because of an intermittent gas smell, he couldn't even find it and insisted it was only a back draft of the water heater fumes. But Ed was able to break it down pretty quick with out ripping into my walls.

It went great. The plumber was very pleasant and helpful and cleaned up after finishing his work. He was very efficient and got the work done in minimal time. We will without a doubt use them the next time we need work done.

Great. Someone came within a few hours of my call and did his best to open the drain. It wouldn't stay open, however, so another plumber came within a couple of hours and replaced the pipe.

They came when they said they would (called in advance, too.) Frank, to the point, and skilled, they were in and out in 30 minutes. Fixed my faucet!

I initially contacted Dauenhauer's on a Monday and was scheduled for the following Tuesday afternoon. I planned to have them replace my 40 gallon water heater and repair a leak from the pipes of my bathroom sink. On Tuesday Dauenhauer's called me around 1:15 to say they were about 30 minutes from my home. This was more than enough time for me to leave my job and meet them at the house. Two men arrived at my home promptly at 1:45, took a look at my water heater and immediately advised me that what I actually needed was a new T&P valve. Since the truck was already loaded with a water heater they said it would be my choice on whether to get the new WH or the T&P valve. I opted to go with the new valve which was considerably less expensive and the valve itself came with a six month warranty. They then took a look at my lavatory drain and immediately diagnosed the problem as a corroded p-trap. One worker took on the job of the new T&P valve while the other worked on the p-trap. Both jobs were completed in under a half hour with no evidence that anyone had been at the site. This is my second time using Dauenhauer's and I've come to the conclusion that they are the ONLY plumbing company for me. Dauenhauer's could have easily replaced my entire water heater at a cost of more than four times what I paid for the T&P valve. Instead they advised me of my options, which until that time I wasn't even aware that I had any. I was so pleased to learn this bit of information and immediately sent an email to a co-worker who was also having trouble with his water heater. And I made sure to pass along Dauenhauer's phone number. In conclusion, the two gentlemen who worked in my home were both highly commendable. Their integrity, professionalism and cheerfulness were simply outstanding! Chad Kendall and his partner (sorry but the 2nd name isn't on my receipt) are both a credit to the Dauenhauer Company.

The process went well and the plumber was committed to finishing the job in one trip. All repairs were checked for proper operation before the plumber left.

They came out on a Saturday. Ben and Jason were nice, funny, professional and calm. I was a wreck, as my husband was out of town, the ceiling was drooping, dripping and the carpet was soaked, and I had to turn the water off the night before. They were really nice to me, the kids and the dog. They did a great job, explained and showed me the problem, cut the drywall, found the hole quickly and fixed it! The cost was reasonable, and I appreciated them coming out on a weekend. The dispatcher was nice and professional as well. Great experience with this company.

They were excellent. A defective part was discovered with a leak. The company determined that this part was defective and the owner of the company is going to file a claim for me to reimburse me for the repair. They are easy to work with.

The service was great. They were professional and they came out on an emergency so they came within their time frame. They are easy to work with. I would recommend.

Came on time and very quickly from call, performed the job quickly, and when another part of that repair wasn't quite fixed as well as needed they came back same day no charge promptly.

He was neat and did a good job. He seemed to know what he was doing and he was very nice. The timing was good and he got the job done quickly. He wasn't here very long.

Plumber showed up on time, looked at the problem (which took about five minutes since he had been here several months ago and charged me $129 to spray a can of foam around the drain), and then spent a lot of time in the truck writing up the estimate. Unfortunately, I approved the estimate, he was gone about two hours getting parts, returned and spent less than an hour installing the drain and then the "p" trap on the shower (standing on a ladder in the unfinished basement so the working conditions were excellent). He installed a stainless drain when I wanted brass and he was told on the phone what the problem was and since he had been here recently, he should have known what parts to bring.

I called to have 2 sinks and a commode worked on. Two plumbers from Dauenhauer showed up at my house. I am glad I asked for an estimate for everything before they went to work. To clean the drain on one of the sinks $188.00! That ended up being a simple clog at the top of the drain cleaned out in 5 minutes by the plumber I hired. Install a new toilet kit inside the tank their estimate was $375.00! I bought the kit at a hardware store for $20 and did it myself in less than an hour. By the way, that same store sells an entire toilet for around $200.00. Install a new sink drain assembly $88.00, again, I did it myself in about 15 minutes. I was told their was a serious problem with the pipe where the sink drain hooks up at the wall. The plumber I hired said that it was fine and designed to flex like that. All of these prices I was quoted were from some mysterious "book" that they "had to" quote prices from. Instead of saying it will be 2 hours labor or whatever, they charged by each little job. Also, if they didn't have the part on the truck, they would charge me $125.00 to go get it. Did they have what they needed, I asked? No. I sent them packing. Oh yes, they charged me $12 for showing up. I was not told by the dispatcher there would be a charge if they didn't do the work. I for one like to call the independent guy who just wants to make an honest living. Who did I call? The plumber I hired was Ed's Plumbing in Shepherdsville he did a great job and was very honest. He just came in, took care of the problem and didn't try to find reasons to charge me for every little turn of a wrench.

David from Dauenhauer showed up on time and called before for more detailed directions. I had an issue where water was leaking from somewhere in the shower but we could never determine where. David diagnosed the problem rather quickly and provided me with a diagnosis. Water was getting behind the bath spigot and leaking down behind the wall. He gave me a couple options regarding a fix. One of the options was to replace the caulk myself. I choose this option and that saved me $50. David was very courteous and extremely helpful. I will call Dauenhauer for any plumbing problem in the future.

We contacted two companies for estimates. Although this is a large reputable company, they sent a young man who did not seem to be experienced in remodels. He did not understand the project as I was describing it and the estimate was very high.

It was my first time that I used them and they were excellent. She asked me what times I would like and they showed up within two hours. It took him close to an hour to finish the job and there has not been a leak since.

They were able to come out and service the sink the same day I called. Matt was my service man and he called about 20 min. ahead of time. He explained what he would do and how much it would cost before performing any services. He worked for over an hour to get the Plan A to work and when it didn't work he was able to call for back-up to go to Plan B. Back-up came very quickly although Plan B didn't work either! It wasn't the fault of the servicemen, it was just difficult working with my house's old pipes! So, Plan C was implemented and that worked in less than 5 minutes. Matt was clean and courteous and was very good about explaining everything.

Since I had a number of plumbing issues I wanted to get an estimate first and Dauenhauer was one of the few companies that provided this service at no charge. I called on a Wednesday and they arrived first thing Thursday morning to give the estimate. Due to the upcoming New Year's holiday, we had to schedule the actual repairs for the following Wednesday. The tech called about 20 minutes prior to his arrival and went about his job very efficiently and professionally. The most expensive (and time consuming) repair was the installation of the tub valve at $285. Considering the fact that I initially thought I would have to replace one toilet entirely and repair another, as well as my other repairs, I had "guesstimated" an expense between $600 and $1200. I was very pleased to pay the lower end of that. With the exception of a few tiny soldering pieces that landed in the tub, the tech left no trace at all that he had even been in my home.

Tim and Brennan and Greg where very professional and competent. They came in the morning and worked almost till dark to get the job done. It was "Yes ma'am" and "no ma'am" and they wiped their feet as they came in and they took the time to explain things to me. Their work was beautiful. They stuck to the contract they had written up. The office returned all my phone calls when I needed to reach them. I am very pleased with everything and will continue to be a loyal customer of Dauenhauer's.

Seemed to take a long time writing up the estimate when I'm sure he knew what needed done. Once that was ok'd, he went right to work and was done in no time. Excellent service and customer oriented.

My wife and I were adding a chair rail to our dinning room, when I hit a copper water line with the nail gun. Water was running into our basement, so I had to shut the water off to the house. This was on a Saturday night; I called Dauenhauer Plumbing and with in one hour they were at our house. David, the plumber, was very professional and clean. He quoted the price before starting the work. I will definitely call Dauenhauer Plumbing again.

I was impressed by the hard work of the worker Matt. Also, the Company put me to the top of the call list when I said the water was backing up in the basement. Although you think the price was a little high, I achieve the completed job in 4 hours from start calling time to finish.
