It went well overall. They told us what we could actually do ourselves so that we didn?t waste money like easy fixes.

Things went very well. I called at 10 am, and he was willing to come that afternoon, had I wished for him to do so. As it was, we agreed on a next day appointment. He was prompt and professional. The work proceded without surprises and was completed in just a few hours. The damage wasn't as extensive as I feared. Estimate was right on. Also I had a $40 coupon. There may be cheaper plumbers, but I don't worry that things weren't done properly.

Jeremy and Matt did an excellent job replacing my toilet. They were friendly and professional. The job was finished before I knew it and in addition to disposing of the old toilet, they left the bathroom clean which made my day. I will definitely use Dauenhauer again. Thank you guys!

Mike from the Dauenhauer team did a great job in detailing his work and level of effort needed. The water backup sump was complex as it required a special backflow preventer plus new Pex runs to make sure that adequate water pressure is available when the pump is engaged. We had just installed a new sump pump and wanted a backup in case we lost electricity, have a "ginormous" rain, and the sump fills. Peace of mind. Mike did the bulk of the work on the other clog items and sink move. With the water pump, an additional resource (Lewis) came in to tag team the backup sump work which took many hours. We appreciate the patience and attention to detail made by the Dauenhauer team who answered my questions in a very thoughtful way. My wife and I were concerned about a couple of pipes leading in and out of the house in our HVAC area. The Dauenhauer team was able to point out tips and techniques for solving the mystery of where they led and we did figure out where things ran....whether in the house or yard. Nice job by the Dauenhauer team!

Water heater went out Saturday afternoon. I went to Home Depot and salesman whispered: "Get a plumber, we charge a lot of extras after you buy." Was indecisive most of Sunday but started calling plumbers Sunday at 4:00 p.m. Several plumbers said they could be there Monday morning - I would have to take off work to be there. Dauenhauer said they would be there in a couple of hours - and they were. The installer, Kerry (sp?) did a great job and did extra work (corrected the turn off valve, plugged up exhaust hole) but did not charge extra. Did not charge extra for coming at 9:30 Sunday evening. I got a discount for using "online special." Unfortunately, water heater leaked the next day but installer came back three times to fix - said he would install a new one but leak stopped. Not sure about the quality of Bradford White units (internet gives mixed reviews) but the service from Dauenhauer was flawless and courteous.

It was great. I was afraid I would have to take a day off work but they came out the evening I called them. The rep got there around 7pm, fixed the problem, cleaned up, no problems. I even saved $40 because of their Angie's list coupon.

I purchased a toilet to replace another that I simply wasn't happy with. I was going to install myself as I was getting the bathroom painted so I had already removed the tank. I followed the instructions that were included and those on the manufacturer's website. There was a conflict between the two with the placement of some hardware. Anyways, after three attempts and a leak in a different area each time, I gave Dauenhauer a call (approx 3:35pm) Given the time I that I called I was expecting to pay dearly. I was told that they would be able to get someone to my home between 4 and 9pm. I got a call 15 minutes later to say that they were on their way. Once the rep arrived, he asked for specifics. He uninstalled the commode and tested the tank and bowl for leaks. He noticed something wrong with the tank gasket and then he reinstalled. While installing, he noticed that the flange was bent. He corrected the problem and the toilet works great.

I think they overcharged me. They charged me $300 for two and a half hours work. They were supposed to unstop the drain line but they didn't get that accomplished. To charge me that price for that amount of time was outrageous so I had a big squabble with them. I wouldn't call them back. They are local. It was an emergency call that I made and it was a mistake. They had a robotic camera that they can run in there to see what the stoppage is. They acted as though they were charging me for that and they didn't do that either. They didn't get it unstopped and they didn't put the toilet back. I told them I had somebody that was working for me and that I would have them put it back. The supply line to the commode was leaking and nobody knew where the line was laid out. The water leaked out during the weekend because there wasn't anybody in the building and flooded some of the carpets in the hallway and the tile and caused a big problem. They didn't want to be responsible for it. You couldn't see if they left it out and I told them I would have it put back. It was a flexible supply line and it was curled up and they didn't have it out or didn't say anything about it leaking when they took it off. It leaked and left a big mess and they charged this exorbitant price for not getting anything accomplished. I told them I would never call them back. I had people clean the mess up. They helped pay some of the bill, maybe about $250.00. I had already paid them their fee. I think it was their fault that they didn't notice the pipe was leaking when they took it apart. They were plumbers. They didn't call me right back when I called them. They showed up okay, but they didn't get the job done and they left it that way. They were not observant when it was their job to know what was going on. I wouldn't use them in the future.

I found the office person who scheduled and coordinated the project to be very friendly and helpful. They were willing to pick up the replacement toilet I had purchased from a third-party plumbing supply company and bring it to my house for installation. The plumber doing the installation was professional, efficient and careful in doing the work.

Dauenhauer PLBG & Piping did a great job. The technician was beyond good. A lot of us have had bad experiences with plumbers because it can be such a skill job. But, this technician fixed a drain problem very efficiently and completely. I then had him look at another problem I was having outside. Another plumber had looked at this problem previously and didn't diagnose the problem. But, he took one look and noticed that I probably had water damage inside between the walls. He came in the house and discovered that the carpet in the back bedroom, which we never use was wet, and that there was black mold. He recommended somebody who came out and took care of the mold issue. I just can't say enough about him. He was courteous and professional. He went the extra mile and was concerned about the fact that there was probably a water leakage in the house. This wasn't the reason he came out but he was concerned and took care of it.

This is why I will never use them again: They arrived promptly when they said would and snaked the kitchen drain. In about 20 minutes, the plumber walked down downstairs into our basement and showed me that the snake is literally dangling out of the pipe entirely. He said that the pipe was busted and he brought in his supervisor/manager to come give me a quote. About an hour later, he arrived and spent a whopping 5 minutes glancing at the problem and said the entire drain from the kitchen sink to the basement would need replacing, including cutting/repairing drywall and cutting into kitchen cabinets. He came up with a $989 quote just standing there. Being the skeptical person I am, I had another company come out and give another estimate. First company to arrive was Jarboe's. Andrew, the technician, spent over and hour investigating the problem and found that Dauenhauer snaked into a vent pipe, which was just disconnected and that is why it was dangling out of the pipe - the real drain pipe was never touched. Jarboe's fixed our intial problem and even reconnected the vent pipe for a 1/4 of the cost, without having to rip through drywall. The fact that Dauenhauer didn't even investigate the problem and tried to get almost $1000 out of me for work that didn't even need to be done is what what irritates me the most. We now have a fully functional kitchen drain, thanks to Jarboe's Plumbing.

It was fairly simple. The commode would not drain so we called the company. The plumber came within a reasonable amount of time. He gave us the estimated costs for two possible problems with the commode. We agreed to his quotes, and he proceeded with the work.

They were absolutely excellent. I always ask for the same person, and nine times out of ten, they will send him right out here. I trust him, and he does great work. They are fast, and they show up when they say they will. You know the cost before they do the work.

The plumbing company arrived the next day promptly when they said they would. Two individuals worked very hard all day long, and at the end of the day had everything completed. During the process, they showed me a piece of the pipe they were replacing and it was indeed very blocked. The opening for water to run through was the size of a soda straw! I would recommend this company.

I have used Dauenhauer before and have had good experiences. Unfortunately, they have gone down hill. I wanted a plumber to replace the flush valve in my toilet. When the plumber arrived at my door, he did not have any tools. I was immediately concerned, as this is a common tactic by service workers to run up their billable hours (running back and forth to their truck to get more tools). When he looked at my toilet, it was clear he was uncomfortable doing the work. He kept suggesting that he make minor adjustments and I informed him that I just wanted the parts replaced, as the adjustments he suggested had not worked in the past. He told me that it would cost several hundred dollars in labor (I had the parts ready). A competent plumber can replace a flush valve in a normal two-piece toilet in less than an hour. He had no explanation as to why it would cost so much and told me that he "didn't set the prices". I sent him away. I will never use Dauenhauer again.

Would have given "A" grade but did not show or call the day they were supposed to arrive. Called the next day. Seemed like a genuine error. Nice service otherwise. Didn't charge alot (used Angie's list coupon). Gave good advice on future project. Would use again.

Office called before he was to arrive, and he called again to tell me he was on his way. He arrived in the time frame given. He fixed a problem that an amateur plumber had caused with some fittings being put in improperly. He explained the problem and told us what to keep an eye out for, gave us a price. I thought it was a shade high, but he did the work very professionally and fixed my problem. I have used this company before and they are always professional and do a good job. I have probably use them 3 times and never a problem.

Excellent experience from start to finish. Accurate quote to replace the water heater over the phone. When they got here, laid out my options...go with same size tank, larger tank, high efficiency, tankless. Ultimately went with a 50 gallon tank to replace my 40 gallon. Technicians were professional and competant, and took care not to track anything on carpet. CLEANED UP WHEN THEY WERE DONE! After doing research on various brands and models, found that the Bradford White brand they use is one of the highest rated units on the market, and cannot be bought at the big box stores. Absolutely a good experience on something that is not much fun to have to deal with.

EXTREMELY OVERPRICED...WARNING, USE OTHER LOCAL PLUMBERS WITHOUT 'OVERPRICED' REVIEWS!!! Made appointment, was given a 11-4pm window to wait. At 430 I called to inquire. 530 the tech shows up, confirms what I believed the problem was. Said it would cost $1125. Yikes. I made appt for next morning. "oh, if you want it done in the am, it will cost (?) $125 less, the warehouse would be open and the extra charge wouldn't apply. That info was not offered when they thought I wanted it replaced that night. He leaves, I check the internet for part cost. $300, so I call tech, he sways me that they are lower quality, undependable, etc. Okay, its sewage after all, I believe him. Next morning, right on schedule. Replaces unit swiftly. I inquire as to cost of part. He does not know. I call office. They say they do not breakdown the charges. Tech said an ejector pump install labor only is $125. Only took 40 minutes. I see the part/box in his truck and model number and search internet and 5 local companies....the part only costs $300 RETAIL. Explain the $950 I STUPIDLY paid ($300 part+ $125labor= $425). I wish, wics, wish I had gone with my gut instinct and not paid till i got an explanation. Since they have my money, I DO NOT HAVE AN EXPLANATION OR THE COURTESY OF A RETURNED CALL TO 'HELP ME UNDERSTAND THE CHARGES'. EGREGIOUSLY OVERPRICED. Quality work, but I know of 3 plumbers who I have used before who would have only charged $450-$600. I LOOSE. Their reputation lends itself to be trusted, that is if your wealthy and enjoy being overcharged!!!!

They did it all in one day even though the pipe was under our driveway so they also had to cut out a section of driveway. They were on time and very professional. They guarantee their work for 6 months. I got $60 off with an Angie's List coupon. I would highly recommend them--they've been great every time I've dealt with them.

He checked my current set-up, made some calls, made some recommendations and then gave me a fair quote on replacing the tank with the option I preferred, He immediately went and collected the tank I chose and came back and installed it, and walked me through the instructions for the new tank once installed.
