Jason from Dauenhauer Plumbing was punctual and professional from the very beginning, calling prior to coming. He believed the leak was twofold, which proved to be correct. There were leaks at the new shower door and we got that fixed. He also went in our crawlspace and determined the previous remodeling contractor (not on Angie's List) had not attached the new PVC vent under the shower, therefore causing all shower water to flow freely under our home and took pictures for us with our camera, so we could see. He was concerned about the integrity of the beam under the house and whether he could drill another hole. A contractor, suggested by Jason came out and gave the go ahead. Jason came out, performed the work and gave us the PVC pipe so we would have it for evidence for our insurance company and possible litigation. He also recommended a mold remediation company and we had them and another company, both on Angie's List, to give us estimates for the extensive mold issue we now have related to this problem stagnating for months without our knowledge. Dauendauer Plumbing also has a $50 online coupon that can be printed out and used. I will definitely be using them again in the future and will recommend them highly. The only mistake I made was not being on Angie's List at the time of this remodel. Never again will I be caught unprepared. Thanks Dauenhauer and Angie's List!!!!

I am SO pleased with Dauenhauer! The sink in our guest bath has drained slow ever since a we had the room renovated and installed a vessel sink. At 8:30 pm I went to their website and requested an appointment for the following morning between 8 am and 1 pm. I was in contact with the company by 8:30 am and Theresa told me that one of their employees would contact me as soon as they were available and that it would be within the requested timeframe. At 10:30 am I got a call from Mr. Chandler and he was at our home by 11 am. He came in and asked me a few questions about the situation, like if it had always drained slow, the kind of pipes that were there before the renovation, etc. Next he did some testing, like running the water at different flow volumes and concluded that the draining issue was a function of the type of sink/drain rather than a clog (which makes total sense, since it is a guest bath that has been rarely used and I can't imagine what would cause it to clog). We had researched the issue with that type of sink ourselves and suspected the drain was the culprit, but wanted to have a professional give their opinion in case there was something we were missing. Mr. Chandler did not charge a dime for this, and we are well aware he could have run a plumbing snake or replaced pipes, charged several hundred dollars, and left us with a slowly draining sink! We went with Dauenhauer because of the Angie's List reviews and will definitely recommend them to others and use them again.

They located the leak and repaired it quickly. They were very professional and polite. Marc Jones was wonderful. He took the time to talk to us and explain what was going on.

They are efficient, prompt, effective, professional and careful.

Dauenhauer was the only company called that was available to do it that day and arrived a little early (with courtesy call). The plumber was professional and stayed until all work was complete (after 7:00 on a Friday) and did a great job cleaning up. I called them back two weeks later for one concern about the work (which turned out to be nothing) and they arrived the next morning and reviewed everything while explaining what we were seeing.

O.K.The only interesting observation I could make is that is there is an opportunity for something to go wrong it would be to the companies advantage to be prepared for such an ocassion.When trying to remove the main sewer line access plug, the wingnut was so tight and plug was so old that it broke while trying to remove it. This was not the plumbers fault....but not having a replacement part (which is very standard and common) is a big missed opportunity for an additional sale and a higher rating for costomer satisfaction.To his defense, I believe that the plumber would have offered to procure and replace the item.This is a little disappointing because in the appointment process I specifically stated the task required.Note: online coupon of $50 was honored and $10 dollars more than the Angies list coupon?

I received a call from Dauenhauer approximately 30 minutes ahead of time as promised. My time frame window was from 8am-1pm. "Ronnie" arrived at 8:30 and started work. He was polite and knowledgable. Everything went as planned and all the work was done within 3 hours. He told me to check the temperature of the hot water to make sure that it was set where I wanted it to be. I am very happy with the work provided and would use this company again.

We have used this company once before and had a good experience. When I called for our recent issue of a leak under the sink, I spoke with someone on the phone, and she said that they could come out that day between 11-4pm (which is a wide window if you ask me). No one showed up. I finally called the office back just before 5 o'clock to inquire/let them know no one had come, and they said I was not scheduled for work to be done, but I was scheduled with an estimator. Okay, not what I asked for, but either way, still no one came even if it was supposed to be an estimator. They asked if I wanted to reschedule for the next day, and I told them I had just given up my day waiting around for them (from 11-4..), so no, not at this time. The next morning around 11:15, I get a call from one of the service men asking if he could head my way. I was not home, and said that they were supposed to be there the day before. So I'm not sure which day they had us scheduled for-the day before w/ an estimator, or the next day for service. The long & short of it is- I think it was a scheduling glitch. While I know it happens from time to time, but we were very much inconvienced and irritated by it.

I had a pin hole in the cold water line in my basement. I called Dauenhauer and they came within three hours. The repairman (Frank) was very polite and courteous. He made the repair without a problem and the work was done professionally. I was extremely satisfied with his work and I would definitely use this company again.cold water line

They were very responsive and made every effort to satisfy our request. It was necessary to coordinate the plumber with the installation of a new countertop. Marc (plumber) worked very hard to prepare the old sink and faucet for removal and then came back later that day after the countertop was installed, to put in the new sink and faucet.

He did a very good job. One of the toilets was a 10 inch, which is going out of style, and he was able to get that in very neatly. They were punctual, responsive, and professional. I would use this provider again.

They did excellent work. They were always on time and very well mannered. He came right and took care of it.

The guys were quick but thorough. They were neat and polite. From the time I called for an appointment to the actual plumbing repair, I was pleased with the professionalism of the employees. Without a doubt, I will use this company again and urge my friends to do so.

The man that came out was very prompt and courteous, and even had the covers on his shoes. He did good work and he was very professional through the entire job, and he even gave me a discount.

Small leak was difficult to find. Wall was opened in dining room on first floor and behind the bathroom vanity on second floor before the leak could be located. Once the leak was found, both hot & cold water lines were replaced. Chris very professional. Cleaned the area very nicely after job finished. Have use them before and would use them again.

Apparently the line is not slanted well enough to drain properly because there is standing water in the drain pipe that begins to smell after a few days. The pit fills with water when it rains and the opening for the new pipe is below the point where the pump kicks in to drain the pit, causing water to flow into the new line where it stays. Also, where I had a smooth floor in that area where I could have laid down vinyl tile (this area is in the laundry room), now that would be impossible because the concrete is rough, pitted, uneven, and looks sloppy. I didn't complain to Dauenhauer because the work didn't cost me anything, but I was very disappointed in the quality of the work. If I had paid for this, I never would have signed off on it.

After a recent remodel in our bathroom the sink was clogged and we were unable to clear it and the bath tub drain was leaking into our basement. They unclogged the sink and for the bath tub they replaced some of the piping and installed a new drain. The employees were also very helping us to find a coupon online for a $50 discount for their service. We are happy with the work performed and will use them again if needed.

About 8:00 p.m. on a Friday night I got the crazy idea that I could repair my leaky tub faucet. Long story short, I made a complete mess not to mention that my main water shut off valve WOULD NOT COMPLETELY SHUT OFF! I called Dauenhauer that same night and made an appt for Saturday morning. I was also able to use a $40.00 off coupon available to members of AngiesList. A young man by the name of Robert arrived promptly and immediately began to right all my wrongs. He was even kind enough not to laugh in my face at my poor attempt to do his job. Robert was surprised when I told him one of the big box stores did not carry the proper fittings for my faucet since he said central brass was a pretty common plumbing manufacturer. Fortunately he had all the necessary supplies and parts on the truck and after about an hour and a half my plumbing was back on track. I noticed that my tub faucet still had a leak after Robert replaced the the stems but he assured me that it was water that remained in my shower head and it would stop leaking shortly. Of course he was right. He also replaced my main water shut off with a single handle ball valve. So far it's proven to be much more efficient and easier to operate than the old fashioned wheeled handle valve. The overall total cost for the job was $409 minus a $40.00 coupon for Angies list members. I've used Dauenhauer on several occasions for my main home and rental property and they have always proven to be extremely competent and professional. I highly recommend their services.

It took a while to get the job scheduled, but the plumber was apologetic when he arrived, did a great job, and was very professional. He offered to come back and install the power cord that Sears had forgotten to sell us with the disposal. We were very pleased with the work overall.

They were wonderful. I would absolutely use them again in the future. They are the only company I would use.

they came into the bathroom reviewed what we thought was the issue and found that it was the faucet not the shower head. They replaced the handles and the tub spout also ran the snake down the drain making sure there was no clogs.

WONDERFUL!!! Brian came out to take a look at both tub and sink drain, since we were having drain issues (and being a new home owner of an old home, I was worried about the overall "health" of the pipes). Very professional, courteous, on time and answered all of my questions--in fact, showed me drains and said "you really can do this this yourself--we want you to call us back when you have a real problem" SO UNBELIEVABLE!! So incredibly impressed (actually expected a chauvinistic kind of response from a plumber..but this was absolutely the opposite--so refreshing!!) Will absolutely call them when we need service!!

Joe came out at the beginning of the window of time they gave me over the phone which was 4pm to 9pm. Joe came in looked at the two valves and tried to just tighten them to avoid having to replace them however due to the age of the pipes it was not possible to salvage the two valves. He quickly replaced both valves and also tighten two valves that he saw could have been loose, turns out he was right they did need tighten. Joe was very professional and personable and by far one of the best experiences I've had with any plumbing company. Total time was roughly 30 minutes and total cost including two new valves was $200.00 however since we had just moved in Joe gave us a house warming gift of 50 dollars off! Great service and wonderful staff.
