Dauenhauer Plumbing

Discovered leak this morning. Called before 8 am, was told tech would be out between 8am and 1pm and that tech would call before arrival. Tech called at 9:30am and arrived shortly after. After checking basement tech determined that leak was on main floor behind wall in a closet. Tech replaced pipe in short amount of time. He gave me the piece removed showing me where leak occurred. Tech was polite, friendly, and professional. Felt very comfortable with him in the home. Final price was less than his original estimate. Tech told me that coupon on Dauenhauer's web site was worth $50 opposed to the coupon on Angie's List for $40 so I got an added $10 off, very nice. Would definitely use again. Only concern: Wish company provided booties to go over tech's shoes. Tech did NOT dirty my carpet, but have had other techs in house that wear the booties and it is nice.

Called early on Sunday morning to have a large leak repaired. They arrived later in the afternoon, the repair took 30 minutes. They were very professional. There was not an extra charged for weekend service calls and we used our Angie's list coupon.

I had water leaking from the toilet but could not determine from where. I called this company and they were able to send a technician over the same day. Upon inspection of the leaky toilet, he determined that the toilet didn't need to be replaced but did need new parts in the tank. I decided to go ahead and have my other toilet, which had been rocking, repaired as well. The technician was very polite and explained exactly what he was doing prior to starting. The job was done in about 3 hours.

They came out because we were experiencing above-average water bills due to internal leaks in toilets. They fixed those and, at our request, also replaced a broken shower/bath fixture with a new single-control fixture. This required extra plumbing and cutting of tile--all done quickly and cleanly. Very happy with their work.

Service tec Ben Cloud was very helpful, explained all my options and gave me an estimate. Completed the job in 1 day! Great service and now my tennant is happy and best of all I am very pleased with the work.

We had a clogged drain in our kitchen sink. We called Dauenhauer, talked to a courteous representative that booked an appointment and provided us a specific timeframe when the plumber would arrive. The plumber contacted us about 20 minutes before he arrived, just as the representative said. He analyzed the problem and gave us an exact price to repair it. The clog was farther down the system line, so he had to go to the basement to get to the heart of the problem, but the problem was accurately diagnosed and repaired. He was prompt, courteous and professional. Although we thought the cost was a bit pricey, the professionalism was outstanding and the work was superb. I gladly recommend this company.

Arrived on time on a Sunday, with no extra charge, and replaced the flush mechanism in about 5 minutes. I used a $40 Angie's List coupon, or it would have been $169.00. Rather expensive for 5 minutes work. No complaints about the work though, seems to be a very professional job.

I called the Daunhauer office on Friday, stated my wish to have a new toilet in our powder room and was offered an appointment for Monday. Pat in the office was friendly and helpful and checked whether I wished to purchase the toilet or should the plumber. I decided on the latter. We discussed what I preferred. She said the plumber would arrive within the 9 - 2 "window" on Monday, with the toilet, and would call when he was on his way. Randy called as promised and arrived around 9:15 on September 24. He removed the old toilet; brought in all the boxed parts of the new one on a dolly; installed it; cleaned up and left. The entire visit took about 45 minutes. He was pleasant, friendly, and efficient. Instead of the Angie's list coupon, I had one worth a bit more from the newly-delivered Yellow Pages that I used for the work. (There is also a coupon for $10. off on the back of every Daunhauer invoice toward future work.) About a week after the installation, I discovered a stain in the toilet bowl that we could not account for nor were we able to remove it in any way we tried. I gave it a few more days to go away on its own, then called Dauenhauer and again spoke to Pat. She sent someone out to see the problem (Randy was on vacation at the time). This person confirmed that it was, indeed, an unusual stain and he could not remove it either. An appointment for Monday, October 5, was made for Randy to return to replace the toilet bowl. (There is a one-year warranty on the unit and work since Dauenhauer and not I had purchased the toilet.) Randy returned and replaced the toilet bowl, planning to return it to the manufacturer as a defective unit. He again called and arrived within the promised time frame and was most expedient with the work. The toilet appears to be perfect now and we are very pleased with the outcome.

Overall very satisfied. Called late in the evening, the plumber on call called me back within an hour or so and we discussed the problem. He was very pleasant. They came out the next day and completed the cleanout and were very thorough and explained everything very well. Price was a little high, but since they don't charge any after hours fees in addition to their 8-5 fees the people who get service after hours get a little better deal than the people during the day do. They have to make up the money somewhere since they don't charge any extra fees after hours and I understand that.

A reviewer here had a similar problem that she posted her review on July 7, 2012 however hers was the kitchen sink faucet leaking. Dauenhauer charged her $69.00 and then after the $40.00 coupon she only had to pay $29.00. Based on that I was expecting around the same price. I called Dauenhauer mid-morning and the receptionist was very nice, we both laughed when I slurred two words together to form one. Had to hear it to understand. :D I was pleasently surprised to find they had an opening for later that day (5-9:00pm). Who knew they worked that late? She said the technician would call when he is on his way. The plumber called at 9:00 (I must have been the last appt of the day LOL). By 9:20 or so Joe arrived. He was very nice, very professional and knowledgeable. It ended up that it was due to the cartridge on my hot water handle that was causing the drip. Joe let me know that the cartridge was only $10.00 ahead of time if that's what it was and his suspicion was correct. I was a little surprised at the amount of $135.00 but then after applying the $40.00 coupon it brought it down to $95.00. Not bad, but still about $65.00 more than a previous reviewer here was charged for her kitchen faucet leak.

We had a leaky faucet in the shower. Plumber showed up on time, & had the leak fixed in < 10 minutes. He let us know that the faucet was very old & would probably need to be replaced (or fixed again) within the next year. He also provided a quote for that service if/when we decided to use it

Requested a quote from Dauenhauer and Son Plumbing and Piping Inc through Angie's list email contact on Sept 19, 2012. Sent a second request on Sept 22. It is now Sept 28th and still have not been contacted by the company. If they won't even reply to a request how could I ever trust that they will be punctual or professional when providing the actual service?

Called main office at 11:30 AM and reported a minor leak in the house main water shut-off valve. Was told that a repairman would visit between 1:00 and 5:00 PM. Repairman called about an hour later and advised that he was on the way. Repairman "Matt" was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. Charge was reasonable for the job. I have used this Company in the past for a major repair job and was well satisfied at that time.

Outstanding service from start to finish. I had a confirmed leak by the water company yesterday. I joined this website today to look at reviews anticipating a lot of drama and money in repairs. When I saw the reviews I chose this company and scheduled a visit online at 7 A.M. on there website. I promptly got a call back in 10 minutes to schedule an appointment sooner than I had selected. The crew gave a courtesy call 20 minutes prior to their arrival. Upon arrival the crew promptly diagnosed where the leak was originating from. All things such as digging, repair of the ruptured line, and back filling occurred in a very timely manner. Ben and his assistant were extremely knowledgeable, professional and courteous. They showed me where and why the problem occurred and gave me guidance to prevent future problems by reviewing the whole water system in and through the house. I cannot say enough good things about this company. I was very pleased overall.

They gave me a quote, and I had them go ahead and do the work. They were great. The servicemen who came out to do the work were very friendly, very nice and very good. They were certainly very thorough. They got right on the problem. I didn't have any problem getting them out to the house in doing the job and everything worked out very well. The price was very good. The work they did was very reasonable.

I suspected a gas leak & called Dauenhauer around noon. They were at my house by 3pm. Dauenhauer rep diagnosed the problem (leaky line to old gas dryer) and had it fixed to my satisfaction within 25 minutes. Normal first hour/diagnosis fee is $125, but they had a coupon on their website for $50 off a service call, which brought the bill down to a very reasonable $75. This rep was very professional and Dauenhauer as a whole was extremely responsive. Great experience; I will definitely use them again and recommend them to my friends.

The young man was very professional and detail oriented and answered all of my questions and concerns. I couldn't be more pleased with the services performed and will not hesitate to contact Dauenhauer in the future. Also, all work done today and parts replaced are guaranteed for 6 months.

They came out on a Saturday and were prompt and quick. They were courteous and did what they said they were going to do. I felt like the price was fair.

Ben arrived on time as planned. He went over our home from top to bottom (Attic to crawl space). Our home was built in 1949 and had a number of esoteric features that previous plumbers were unable to explain. Ben both understood what he was seeing and took the time to explain these here-to-for mysteries to my wife & I. He had three recommendations; one required immediate attention ... a tub drain was leaking into the crawl space and needed immediate replacement; the second two were discresionary and could be put off indefinitely if need be. We scheduled the drain repair in a couple of days. Ben returned with an assistant needed for the job and had it complete in short order. I was charged a fair price for the drain replacement. The household system review was at no extra cost.

I called at noon on a Friday and Dauenhauer was booked the remainder of the day. However, I was able to book an appointment for early the next day, which was just fine. Robert & Eric came out Saturday morning. They were very pleasant and professional. They addressed the problem promptly, fixed it and showed me how to take care of the problem myself if it happened again in the future. When I told them I had found the company on Angie's List, they asked for my coupon proactively. I really appreicated that because I was able to save $40 on something that was a small, quick fix. That showed me that Dauenhauer is interested in providing great customer service as well as resolving plumbing issues. I will definitely call Dauenhauer in the future for any plumbing issues and will recommend them to all my friends.

We called around lunch time, after waiting two days to hear back from another "A" Plumber on Angies list. They answered quickly, made arrangements for us to have someone come over the same afternoon. The arrival window was pretty big, but not unreasonable. They promised a call 30 minutes before arrival. They called, advised an arrival time and were on time. Marc Jones was polite, friendly, professional, fast and efficient. He advised what he could do, and the cost. We accepted and in short order, our problem was fixed. The work is guaranteed, and if we have any problems we can call back. The experience was painless, quick and we are very satisfied.
