I called the office for information on their services and the person who answered was cordial and helpful. After telling her my situation, I was assigned a plumber, Eric. He was prompt and professional. After installing the water heater he informed me that he could not start the heater because my chimney was blocked which meant carbon monoxide would enter my home. I had a chimney sweep come and clean the chimney. I called Dauenhauer Monday afternoon (4-1-13) to let them know that the work on the chimney had been completed. Eric was at my home bright and early Tuesday morning to turn the water heater on. He answered all my questions in a knowledgeable and professional manner. I will use them in the future.

I had sewer back up in my basement , and called Dauenhaer. They were prompt in sending a plumber. This is the second time I've used them for this service, and I would definitely use them again, especially this particular plumber. He had a better snake machine, and did a more thorough job than any of the previous plumbers. I would absolutely use them again. Their prices are also much better than Maeser Masters.

Serviceman advised that I could save money by putting in parts that would do a full flush versus the water saving partial flush. While I appreciated the information, I wanted the water saving replacement parts.

Arrived ahead of time. The install of the stop went well. We won't know until the humidifer is hooked up if it was the right piece. My complaint is not with the plumber. Seemed a very pleasant and competent guy. However, the charge for such a small job seems exorbitant. Even he said that the HVAC guys should have taken care of the issue since it was so simple. It took less than 10 minutes to complete. My complaint is their refusal to take my Angie's list coupon although I told the office personnel that I had one during my original call. Later, when I called to ask them to take it off my invoice, they refused. Unfortunately, I had already paid the plumber since he said he had to be paid immediately. Realizing I had not received the Angie's list coupon discount shortly after he left, I called to request that they honor the coupon discount since I had already told them I had one. They refused saying that I should have given it to the plumber. Since the discount coupon is the main reason I called Dauenhauer, definitely won't use them again. Lesson learned!!

I had purchased a disposal and needed to have it installed in a kitchen sink. The service person arrived on time, was professional and pleasant. Focused on the job, asking questions to make sure that he was clear on what I needed. Excellent job, efficient and professional representative. I will definitely use again if I have future plumbing jobs.

They arrived and snaked the drain on Monday and again Friday after the sewer backed up a second time, then they looked at the sewer line with a camera. The men were wonderful and explained a lot to us. They were also very polite

I don't know if I just got a bad technician, but the quote this company gave me was absolutely unbelievable. I needed my clawfoot tub taken out of the bathroom so I could do some renovations, and they quoted me more than ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS just to take out the tub and then put it back in. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the estimate, and was too shocked to question the guy before he left. First of all, our tub is small for a clawfoot and the hookup is not elaborate or hard to get to. Second of all, the tub only had to be moved a few feet into the hallway, not down or up stairs or anything. I couldn't understand why the quote would be so insanely high. I called another company (Moser Plumbing) that has done good work for me before, and they did what I needed (and more!) for less than a third of this company's quote. Also, a few months before this incident I had them fix our leaking toilet and the cost was almost $200 for something I have since learned I can easily do myself for less than $20. Dauenhauer is fast and responsive, but you will pay for that many many many times more than what it is actually worth. I will never call Dauenhauer again.

They showed up a few hours later (around 9pm), snaked the drain and cleaned up. They were on-time, reasonably priced and professional.

Way to expensive. Charged approximately $200.00 per hour. This was including a 45 minute trip for a $5.00 part. Not happy! Did not put in the piece under the tub to keep the face of the tub rigid.

They responded very quickly to my phone call. I did not end up needing the work done but would use them in the future.

I was very happy with the job they did. The cost was very reasonable. I would recommend them to anyone and will definitely use them again if the need should arise.

Our sump pump stopped working. Our house is 5 years old and this is the first plumbing issue. We didn't know who to call and found Dauenhauer on Angie's List. Our service call had a 12:00 to 5:00 window. The technician called 30 minutes before arrival, which was not long after 12:00. The technician was very consultative. We have a special situation involving a Radon gas system installed near the sump pump. The technician consulted with one of the company owners on how to handle the situation. He gave us some options so I could make an informed decision. The work was completed satisfactorily. The new sump pump is working fine. And the quality of the work appears high. I would use Dauenhauer again.

I called on a Sunday for my kitchen drain that was clogged. I had actually tried to snake it myself but after running 20 feet of snake, I could not get it unclogged. Louis arrived as scheduled and ran his snake as well but had not luck. He suggested that we run a heavier duty snake on the vent stack in the roof because he thought he could get to the clog better that way, but since he only had the smaller snake, he had to come back the next morning and do it then. As he said he would, he called to say he was on his way and was also bringing another plumber (Marc) with him to help with everything since he had to get on the roof with a very heavy snake. He ran the snake for about 10-15 minutes and got the clog out. He then recommended some other things that I can do to avoid future problems, such as using and enzyme cleaner for the drain. I had a $40 off coupon and so what would have cost me $250 was actually only $210. I was happy with the work and I have used Daunhauer several times in the past and the always do a good job and they stand by their work.

Fast, efficient and excellent service. Removed trap, snaked line, cleaned up and returned everything under sink. Job well done and will use them again. They are also knowledgable and courteous.

I called them @ 8:00 am for service due to sewer overflow in basement. They told me they would be there between 9am and 2pm. At 11:00 am received phone call saying they will call before they come. At 4:00 pm still no call and no show. I called service number and they could not guarantee someone would be able to come today and ask if I wanted to reschedule. I've been working in sewer water all day, can't take a shower and they want to reschedule. I took today off from work too. Now I have to pay another company overtime because of their unprofessionalism.

Discovered water in the basement in the evening. With rain in the forecast there was no time to wait. Called Daunhauer and a repairman was dispatched that evening. We could have chosen to repair the pump, but decided to replace it. The repairman had the pump and performed the replacement on the spot.

I would just like to thank Mike- "Grady" the plumber from Dauenhauer for doing a fantastic job. He was on time, professional, and extremely nice to boot. I will most certainly use Dauenhauer again!

I was given a two hour window of time during which the service person would arrive. He arrived promptly and performed several checks to determine that the problem was indeed most likely tree roots in the sewer line, and he explained the options for resolving the problem. Once I selected the less messy option, he had to call in another service person (for safety while on the roof). Once the second service person arrived, they ground the roots out of the sewer line and flushed the line with water from the tub to insure that the problem was resolved. Dauenhauer charges by the job rather than by the hour, so I knew beforehand how much the service would cost. Both men were very professional, polite, friendly, and competent. They took care of the problem in a minimum of time. I was very pleased with their service.

The service man was very polite and completed the job efficiently in a short period of time. He arrived on time and snaked the drain till he knew it was completely clear The original bill was $189.00 but there was a $40.00 off coupon on Angie's List that the company took with no problem making the final bill $149.00 They do not charge overtime on weekends I had to have them out on a Saturday This was needed due to the clog my clothes washer and mop sink in the utility room were over flowing I would highly recommend them
