We had originally called them to get the pipe snaked in the house we just bought. Upon inspection, they found that the pipe was about to break and needed replacing. The guys were great! I would highly recommend them.

Dauenhauer Plumbing came out after another company (Angie's List company who my home warranty company made me use) was virtually useless the night before. They snaked the drain about 30 feet (according to them) and stated it was so far it was a problem with the sewer division. Called sewer division, they put a camera in the line the said "it's not in our jurisdiction, you need a private plumber". Annoyed with the previous company, I called Dauenhauer and they had a technician to my house within 45 minutes (at 6:30 a night, after normal business hours). Jesse was my plumber, he snaked the line 120 feet, broke up the roots that were blocking my piping. Jesse informed me of $70 worth a coupons on their own website (I was unaware of them) and was able to save $70. He was quick, curteous, cleaned up after himself, and was a painless process. I would highly recommend to use of Dauenhauer Plumbing in the future.

I 'm glad I selected to use this company. We did not get a gas line installed for the dryer because it would have violated building to put a tee in from the line running to the kitchen appliances. We would need to have a new line run all the way from the main gas line junction near our furnace which would have been prohibitively expensive. We also did not have to replace the copper line running in our fire place. We thought the fireplace was being used for real wood because of the ash. The technician informed us that the "ash" we saw in the fireplace was just very realistic replica material. As long as we did not plan to try and use real wood in the fireplace, we did not need to replace the copper line with a steel one. I was very surprised when we were not charged for the visit. I know we will have other work done in the future and I plan to use Dauenhauer and Son Plumbing because of their adherence to the building code, honesty, and business practices.

They were very very good. A lot of people in our area are sadly not very reliable. Dauenhauer was awesome. It took a few hours for him to fix all the problems caused by previous owners, but he did a great job and we were very happy with him. We’ll use him in the future for a bathroom remodel if the quote comes in low enough. He was extremely thorough and cleaned up very well.

They responded to my call the next day, which I appreciated greatly. The work was done quickly and needed repairs were well explained. Overall a good experience.

Very east to make the appointment. Showed up on time. Matt was very professional and pleasant to have in our home. The work was finished in a timely manner. Over all it was a great experience.

Initial estimate of $1,249 was to remove existing 30" tub and tile surround and drywall and move existing plumbing for shower for 32" tub. Tub and faucet were supplied by us. They supplied a drain although we had purchased one. The day before, when removing the flooring we discovered that the subfloor had to be replaced, so we ended up removing the tub, drywall and tile ourselves. Two plumbers showed up at 9 am, installed the tub and replaced two shut-off valves (not originally quoted). One my husband asked them to replace on the phone while here. The other they saw leaking and replaced without my knowledge. The two plumbers were here for less than 2 hrs. We had called yesterday to ask about a price reduction since we did all the demo and were told we would get one. When paying for the services, I was told the price of the demo equalled out the price of the one valve replacement ($189). I can understand $1,249 for an all-day demo, but not 2 hrs of work for an install and a valve replacement, which ended up being about $600/hr and $300/person/hr. We did have a $70 coupon, so the cost was $1,179. They were very professional, came on time, and did a good job. We plan on building a second bathroom and had gotten a quote from Dauenhauer, but will be getting others and using someone else.

We came back from dinner, and I heard water running in the basement. That's never a good sign! I went into the spare bedroom in the basement, and in the closet, the floor was soaked. The hot water pipe above the closet had a hole in it, and was running all over the ceiling. It was 8:30 PM, and I was leaving the next afternoon for a business trip, so I called Dauenhauer. I got the answering service, and they said I should get a call between 8 and 9 AM. I was called at 7:45 AM, and said someone will be there by 9 AM. They arrived promptly, and fixed the leak quickly. After it was done, they asked it I had any coupons. I said no, and they said to go to their website and print off the coupns there for $20 off a service, and a $50 new customer coupon. They saved me $70! I highly recommend Dauenhauer for any plumbing need.

I called this morning because our drain was slow and didn't expect service so quickly. They came out this afternoon. Jesse was prompt and very polite. He completed the job is less than an hour.

They did a great job and I would use them again in the future.

The drain in the tub stayed open all the time. Anytime I asked a question they explained it in Laymen's terms so I could understand. I could not believe my luck to get someone so great. He was great.

I made a call for service at approximately 9:30 in the morning and was told that a plumber would be at my home sometime between noon and 5:00. Richard telephoned 25 minutes before arriving to let me know he was on the way. Richard was punctual, courteous, friendly and professional. We had four minor situations in our master bath to be taken care of and he was here and gone within an hour's time. Total cost of the repairs was $189 and I utilized a $40 coupon from Angie's List, making the total due $149.00. Was very pleased with Richard and the work he did and asked if I could ask specifically for him when calling for repairs. He said that was actually preferred by the company in order to assure familiarity between personnel and customers as well as helping to create a repair history at the residence. We moved to L'ville approximately one year ago and are very pleased to have found such a responsive, quick-working and reasonably priced plumber. Will not hesitate to contact Dauenhauer again.

The plumber took the drain trap apart (which I didn't know I could do) and showed me how to dismantle and clean it myself. He checked everything out, even waited for the washing machine to load and drain- there was no clog. He explained what was getting trapped in the cover and trap, how/why it was getting there, and how to clean it out regularly. He then wrote up an estimate so I could see what it will cost me if I ever need to get it snaked in the future, but said that there was no charge for today. He came on time, was polite, educated me on how to fix it myself, and cleaned it out so my washer doesn't overflow into my basement- for free. There was no pressure to up-sell, as I've had with other area plumbers. I'll definitely be using them again if I need a plumber.

I like everything about them. They were timely and you do not have to wait. They came when they said they were coming, and they came the same day which I wanted in a plumbing incident. The plumber was very friendly and efficient. I do not have anything bad to say about their service. It is all good. Plumbing is always expensive no matter how you look at it.

The plumber was supposed to show up between 3 and 8 pm and actually called to say he could come earlier if I was available and I was so he came at about 2 pm. I had an old outside spigot for my garden hose that had broken. I purchased my own spigot to replace it. He had to drill the whole through the brick on the outside of my house to make it bigger so that the larger spigot I purchased would fit. Everything went smooth as it usually does with Daunhauer. He took about 40 minutes to complete the job and it was done to my satisfaction. The charge was going to be $229 but since I had a $50 off coupon from their own website, it only cost me $179. I think the original price was a little high but this company always has plumbers available and they always make sure you are satisfied. I have probably used them 10 times and each time, I have been satisfied and the one time I wasn't, they came back to correct a small problem with no questions asked.

The repair person arrived on time and was very knowledgeable and friendly. He listened to what we wanted done and checked and immediately went to work. When he was finished he reviewed all the work completed and asked if there was anything else he could help with.

Here is the reason for the grade. I was scheduled for services on the 16th between the hours of 9am-2pm. I understand why companies do this but I hate hours set like this. Its unfair because you have to sit in the house all day during those hours. However, that is not reason for grade. By the time 2:30 hit and no one had called or came by I called the office to ask why no one had called or came by. The lady was very apologetic and said he was running behind and she should've called and he will be there shortly but couldn't give me a time. I told her I had waited long enough that they would have to come tomorrow. So they set me up with the same time again for the next day. The next day a gentleman did come out and did figure out that there was a leak (go figure) when that was the reason for the call. However, he needed to call someone to cut into the wall because he was not completely confident in cutting into the wall because it is not metal pipes. I respect that and I would rather someone call someone else out for help then to make a bigger damage then possible. I was quoted a price of 189.00 and I had a $70 coupon so the price would be even better, right? Well, after the two plumbers were done I was told because he used copper pipes it was now $229 instead of the $189. Normally, I would not complain because that is still a low price but the whole reason why I got on Angie's List is because I have been royally screwed by contractors and companies and I find it completely unprofessional to not let me know ahead of time the change of price. If I was told what was going on would have been better. I will still use them in the future and will tell them ahead of time that what you quote me is what I will pay anything over that I will not. I will let them know what has happened before and what I will not deal with. The problem with me is I am a nice person and I get to know the people who work in my house and I make friends and that's when I get screwed. So I take partial blame for okaying the amount of money in the end. It was not a huge difference and it was still a cheap repair however I am the type of person that does not like surprises and do not want anyone spending my money for me.

Everything was performed very well and totally met my expectations. Service was performed almost six months ago and to this day, none of the issues has resurfaced. Plumber was also very professional, knowledgeable and honest in his duties and advice provided. Good company.

Very professional and punctual. Looked at the problems I needed to fix, gave me an estimate, and quickly finished the work.

Called several plumbers. Others didn't return call or were not readily available. One other company that came didn't bring the right size snake and wanted to charge twice as much. This company was the most responsive and least expensive. Some confusion on their part about when the plumber would come, but it was quickly worked out.

Because of the age of the pipes it took quite a while to get new ones to match/fit and he ended up having to make three separate trips to get parts. But he was very thorough with the job and didn't try to cut any corners or rush it. It took much longer than expected but the work is done properly. Thank you.

Everything went well. They did good work and charged a reasonable price. We really appreciated that they assigned someone to handle our case specifically instead of having us deal with several people within the company.

I was told that there would be no service charge and that the plumber would not charge by the hour, but by the job. I had a $50 Dauenhauer coupon that I found online. The pumber, David M., told me the set price, charged me $157 and deducted the $50 coupon. When I called the service, I told them up front that I had the coupon, so the plumber was already aware, and the final bill was $107. I could have done this job myself, but I would still be there by nightfall. The service has a one year guarantee as well. I am more than satisfied. I am very pleased. I have used Dauenhauer several times and always find their work to be highly professional, reasonably priced, prompt, and the workers always seem to have pleasant dispositions.

Arrived as promised. Had all the equipment they needed and performed the needed process.
