I called about 6:30 pm to request service andJosh was at my house in less than an hour. He was professional, friendly, and honest. A plumber from a large Louisville company came the previous evening and told me I had a collapsed pipe and offered to replace it for $3000. I decided to get a second opinion and Josh ran a snake right through a clog with no problem and no evidence of a collapsed pipe. Best of all, the work is guaranteed for 6 months.

My tenants reported on Saturday evening that the basement drain was beginning to flood. They got someone out within two hours, and he worked hard to clear the main drain (65 feet of snake). He kept me informed by phone of the problem and the process for fixing it, and accepted my Angie's List coupon and credit card payment. Overall a very pleasant experience for a clogged drain..

He did an exceptional and fantastic job of installing the new gas hot water heater. The technician was extremely friendly and nice. We really enjoyed talking to him. He went out of his way to help us.

Called this morning and they arrived promptly after calling and giving me a 20 minute heads up. Eric was extremely polite, professional and friendly. Having your day messed up with issues in never a good thing, but I thoroughly enjoyed having a nice young man repair both toilets while having good conversation. Kudos to both Dauenhauer and their employee, Eric.

Repaired one and replaced two other potential pin hole leaks in copper cold water pipes. Seemed a little expensive for time it took.

I had a sewer backup on a Saturday. Fearing the dreaded plumbers weekend overtime scenario I discovered that Dauenhauer doesn't charge extra on nights and weekends. I gave them a call and was told that they would come between 4 and 9 pm. The 2 man crew arrived at 8:50pm (later than I would have liked but they still hit the target) . They were very friendly and did a good job of clearing my drain. The price was reasonable (used my Angie's List $40 coupon) and I am a satisfied customer.

He replaced gas hot water heater. Very professional and courteous. Also a week or so earlier had unclogged a toilet that another person said had to be replaced. Cost of that service was $89. Honest plumber! THIS WAS FROM THE LEXINGTON BRANCH OF THE COMPANY, NOT LOUISVILLE.

I discovered a leaking pipe in my basement and called Dauenhauer after seeing they were highly rated here on Angie's list. A friendly person answered the phone and to my surprise, offered to send someone out that afternoon (it was already after noon when I called). I told her about the $40 off coupon from A.L. and she said they'd be happy to honor the coupon. A literal few minutes later, a tech called me and said he was finishing a service run near my area and asked if he could come over in about 45 minutes. Sure! A bit less than 45 minutes later he arrived, examined the problem and gave me a $215 quote. He replaced a corroded copper pipe and explained that it probably happened because of electrolysis, since the pipe was touching an iron gas pipe, and even warned me to insulate another section of pipe in a different area to avoid a similar problem in the future. In about one hour, he had replaced the corroded section with PEX and I was back in business. I was charged $175 after the $40 coupon. So, from about 2 hours from my original call, problem solved. I gave all 5s except for a 4 on price. $215 for an hour of work plus the service call, while it's probably a fair price, I can't say it's a "good" price, but then again, I haven't had much plumbing work done. Given the speed of response and that the job solved the problem, the friendly nature of both the office and the plumber, I am very pleased with Dauenhauer and would use them again.

while trying to replace a toilet, my son in law noticed the flange was broken and wasn't able to replace it. My normal plumber couldn't get there that day so i went on to angies list and found this company who could get there the same day. the plumber was there for 15 minutes, replaced a $15 flange, and handed my daughter a bill for $230. I called the company twice - all i wanted was an explanation as to why the bill was so high - and was told both times a supervisor would call me. I never heard anything back.

I have used Dauenhaur multiple times, and they do a good job overall. My only negative against them is they don't do the greatest job cleaning up after themselves. In the most recent instances I found pipe shavings after replacing water shutoffs and there was dirt and grime left on the bathtub after fixing a shower. I would still use them again, as they are quick and responsive, and when they fix something it stays fixed. Their pricing is a little bit high, but I don't mind paying extra as I know it will stay fixed.

Everything went wonderful. I was pleased with their services.

Called after 9am. They gave a window of 11am-4pm and showed up just before 11am. Problem was fixed within 15 minutes. Then they honored the Angie's list discount, even though I didn't have it printed out. Best repair service I've received - maybe ever.

24 hour service at no additional charge was the best feature. I was able to get service the same day in the late evening after I got of work. Josh Schagene was courteous and professional and was able to clear our clogged drain and install a new garbage disposal quickly and efficiently. They have definitely won my future plumbing business, and I will be sure to ask for Josh if he is available.

Came in less than 2 hours on Sunday. Did the job, works great. Pump drained the water, all is well.

Both jobs went smoothly and the work was done well. Eric was friendly and very responsive to questions. Was very satisfied with the job, that when a new issue came up I called this company back.

The plumber arrived early within the time-window. I was late and he waited for me. He was friendly and professional. He fixed the problem within 1 hour and also helped me find my water shut-off valve. He replaced a plastic tube to the ice maker with a metal one and also replaced a less than perfect valve. He gave me an estimate in advance and kept to that estimate.

Scheduling the work was quick and easy. The plumber arrived as scheduled, was very polite and completed the task successfully. We utilized an Angie's List coupon and saved $40!

Found a leak in our garage that appeared to be coming from a bathroom above. Called Dauenhauer after first plumber couldn't come out until the next day. Very pleasant front office folks. Was told would be later dame day bit got a call 5 minutes later to say someone could be there now. Eric, the plumber who responded, was great! Very professional and identified the problem quickly. Fair price and repairs done quickly! Next time Dauenhauer will be my first call!!!

Excellant work, extremely knowledgable. Left bathroom very clean. Was delayed on previous job, so was running a little late (only reason I scored a B on punctuality). Initially scheduled via website; a rep called me back within a half hour to schedule appointment. Would definitely recommend, and will use again in the future for the job quoted on replacing pipes in garage.

The plumber arrived at the scheduled time and began working immediately. He had all the necessary supplies to complete the installation of my 3 new products. He had to do some minor woodwork to make the vanity fit properly. He was also very helpful and offered to take my old items away. He said they could be donated to the habitat for humanity restore facility or disposed of if they weren't accepted. This definitely went above and beyond my expectations.

I am not sure of the exact date of the service but it was the day I joined Angie's list because I was able to use a coupon provided by your company. The services were 240 dollars and your coupon saved me forty dollars. Now here is the rest of the story. Details must be submitted from various points of view. This consumer has to admit he was not completely satisfied yet the plumbing company could have charged me an arm and a leg. The facet could not be identified and there was simply no access to get to the problem area. On that day I needed a plumber and a creative thinker. Why do I say this? Our complete problem was eventually resolve by a friend who used his innate ability to not to destroy drywall around our garden tub and the entire facet was replaced through the use of eBay prices and patience. Translation, the situation the plumbing company was placed in along with this consumer was a lose lose situation. Steven Covey would not have wanted to be here that day if he were still living. In essence, I paid 200 dollars for a plumber to come to my home yet he left without the facet being repaired. In fairness to the company had it ben repaired that day and drywall having to be replaced I would have been stuck with a two thousand dollar bill plus. I hope this allows you enough data to close the mystery of this case.

This is a very reliable, efficient and honest company. They came out the same day I called which is a real plus, and arrived when they said they would. This is the second time I've used them and was pleased both times. The gentleman gave me advice as to how to avoid this problem in the future. He cleaned up after he completed the job. I was very pleased with his work and his manner.
