Dauenhauer Plumbing

Our Sewer became clogged and was backing up into our basement. We have never called a plumber during the 24 yrs. I've been married as my husband prefers to "do it myself". His 25 foot snake was not long enough in this case So, we had to call a plumber. We called Dauenhauer plumbing at around 8pm. They had someone On Call to answer for emergencies and questions. They sent someone out first thing in the morning. He was prompt, friendly, very professional, and did a great job! He explained everything and recommended a root rot product to keep our pipes patent. I'm not sure if $300 is average as it's our fist plumber experience. They honored our Angie's List $40 off coupon. We will use them again if needed.

There was an electrical issue with the garbage disposal and we called another plumbing contractor to come out. The other contractor said that they had done it incorrectly and it was wired in a dangerous way. They were not very responsive at first but we sent them the information from the other contractor they did respond by sending us the money to pay for the other contractor. We have used them in the past and they did a good job, however because of this experience we will not be likely to use them in the future.

Both Michael and Mark did an outstanding job. They explained what they were doing and were very neat and professional. We have used Dauenhauer Plumbing before and always been very pleased.

James was friendly and professional. He fixed my toilet, explained what the problem was and what needed to be done. I would use Dauenhauer again.

Chris was our plumber. Called when he was on the way but was a little late due to getting lost. (we are rural) No problem with that. He was professional and did a great job. Even changed out the wax seal on the commode. Very pleased with service. I did use a 40 dollar off coupon so my price paid includes use of coupon. Will use again.

The plumber was excellent. He was nice, kind, professional and efficient. He replaced the tub/shower faucet, shower head in one bathroom, fixed the drain in the other bathroom, fixed the drain pipe in the washer, replaced the main shut off valve in my duplex built in 1900 I just purchased a couple of weeks ago. We called desperate for help once we realized that our basement carpet was wet and the bathroom was flooded. Within 3 hours, Dauenhauer Plumbing sent someone to our home. Not only, did they locate the culprit, but fixed the problem. They did not stop with that. He went into detail about what we needed to do and made some helpful suggestions. Eddie was the service tech and represented the company in such a manner that we will always come back to Dauenhauer. He explained in detail everything he was doing and did. We could not ask for more.

Service was fast and affordable. My technician, Alan, was friendly, professional and gave great advice. I highly recommend their service.

Called that morning and they were able to come that afternoon. Plumber explained that the way the pipes were leading to the water heater, he would have to replace them and that would add $189 to the cost. I agreed to it. He sharked new copper onto the existing CPVC. The solder job was not the cleanest (left solder runs and drips. instead of sweating them out he left them) Also on the pressure release valve down tube, he tried to use the old one but it was too short. Instead of making a new one he just clamped pex onto the old clvc pipe. Not i have about 6" of red pex pipe coming out to the prv connected to cpvc the rest of the way. Both complaints are small and have more to do with appearance that functionality.

Matt was very knowledgeable and found things the house inspector did not find during the house inspection. He took his time and gave me a good understanding of the problem I am having with my plumbing. I thought the price was a little high but given the quality of the work, it was well worth it.

This is the first plumbing issue we have encountered (new homeowners) so we don't have a plumber on call. Called on Saturday when leak was found and someone was at our house within an hour. Chuck quickly diagnosed the issue and provided a quote to address the issue. Scheduled to come back and fix the problem on Monday morning. Called prior to arrival (available earlier than previously quoted) and arrived with three men. Quickly replaced the pipe, snaked the sewage line and tested for new leaks (thankfully none). Final price was as quoted. Happy with service and will use again.

Service provider quickly diagnosed the issue and had the job completed in no time at all. He gave some advice on a few other projects we needed help with for a new house we just purchased including a new water heater.

Great. Showed up right on time, did and excellent job. Took about an hour and a half. I have used them before and would definitely use them again for all my plumbing needs. They have done everything from replacing sewer lines to water lines for me.

Chris Works phoned ahead, showed up when he said he would, did a professional job, and followed up after the work to make sure we were satisfied. We have had several plumbers over the years and Chris with Dauenhauer has been the best.

Originally sent out 9 requests to extend my sewer line and hopefully lower the existing line below basement floor level to get rid of my up-flush toilet. Only two of the nine responded and gave me an estimate..Dauenhaur was HALF the price of the other estimate...and lower than I expected!!! It turned out I didn't have enough down slope to lower my existing line, so I had Dauenhauer extend the existing sewer line to the garage. It took a bit before they came...but I expected there to be. They were on time, courteous and pleasant. They worked quickly and gave me exactly what I wanted. They, as all plumbers, have a clause stating they only fill the ditch line back to "construction grade" (meaning they do not re-grass and leave you with a "hump"). Was pleasantly surprised how well they graded the finished product...excellent job! I had never dealt with Dauenhauer before...but they are my top choice from now on! Highly recommended!!!

All fine but took multiple appointments

I have a plumber that I like and I have used for a long time. The name is Dauenhauer. I have used them before. They are on Angie's List. I have had them for years, all the time. They are very professional. They show up when they say they will. They look professional. They come in and they look and act professional and leave which is exactly what I wanted. They do the job which is exactly what I want. I don't want them to be my best friend. I just want them to come, do the job, I pay them and they go away and that is all I need. They answer the phone, show up when they are supposed to and all that stuff. The price is not cheap, the price could be better.

I wouldn't hire this company if their services were free. Downright rude.

rI used their services 3 years ago when a main drain line cracked. I was going out of town the next day, they were the only provider that would show and get work done before I had to leave. They replaced the drain line and ended up replacing the water heater (as it had to be moved) in the process. The drain line has been fine. The problems resulted from the water heater. The new Bradford model was installed - sitting directly on concrete floor (no blocks) after I asked repeatedly. Two years later the electric part that lights the pilot light died. It was under warranty, but it still cost me $300 to pay for the repairs. The repair took four days as the part had to be ordered. The technician was less than professional, but in the end it was ultimately fixed and all was well. The unit quit again this week (July 2015) as it would not light - same problem as before. This malfunction happened the same time as a lot of flooding in the area (important point for this story). I called since the unit is only 3 years old so it seemed like warranty work again. They showed up Tuesday afternoon and immediately looked at it (tested nothing) and told me flooding had ruined the unit so they would not try to light it and all warranties invalid. First, the unit is in the lower level of my bi-level - nothing else on the lower level was wet. I pointed this out to the tech and he pointed to water line on water heater - told me it looked like six inches of water. I pointed to adjacent wall and furnace where there was no water line, also the nearby laminate and carpet was not wet. There was no flooding, my house is on a hill, it never floods unless something is leaking. He pointed out rust on bottom of unit and said it should have been installed on blocks - reminded him they installed it and he mumbled incoherently. He continued to argue with me and said only corrective action is completely new unit for $1100. There are plenty of other plumbing options in the area, so go with more professional operations. I tell everybody to stay away from Dauenhauer or DontHire as I like to call them.

I am more than pleased with Mark's work and am feeling much relieved, given that we have more torrential rain coming this evening. He was very professional and personable. He examined our situation, diagnosed the root problem, and not only fixed it but also came up with a solution that would prevent further problems. He did all of this in a timely fashion, explaining everything in a way I could understand, and advising me of the charges before he did the work. You don't offer an A+ or I would have rated the company A+, squared. I will always call them for every plumbing problem I have henceforth. They had my back; I'll return the favor.

The plumber took care to diagnose the problem to ensure the correct actions were taken to clear the drain issues. He explained what he was doing and answered all my questions. There had apparently between two clog issues - one in the main sewer line and one inside. The main sewer line cleared on its own just after he arrived. I was impressed that he confirmed that is was clear and didn't go ahead and complete and add unnecessary work to the bill. Ultimately, he cleared the inside clog issue in a fast and efficient manner.

I had the shower regulation valve pulled apart so we could see where the issue was. The plumber knew immediately what was needed - fixed the issue - and put everything together quickly. He spent more time in his truck than in my bathroom. While it may not be indicative of all Daunhauer plumbers, the level of professionalism expressed by this plumber was not what I expected. It wasn't that he was rude - just not friendly. We have used Maeser and Stemler in the past - and will probably use them again in the future. With Angie's List discount, I ended paying about $140/hour with no materials used.

I called on Sunday expecting to set up service for the following weekday for my small business. However, to my surprise they came out that same day and fixed the problem in a fast courteous fashion. I also felt like the charge for this service was a fair price! I am very happy with my experience with this company

Everything went great the technician was on time and very insightful. I was quoted a resonable price and the work was even performed same day. One of the greatest things was that the guy cleaned his mess up and took extra care to not spill anything on the new carpets. Sometimes you don't get this level of care and it was much appreciated being a new homeowner. Will Def use this company again.

This was a good news, bad news situation involving a crawlspace. Technicians dealt with the cramped space with no difficulty. They were especially patient with my questions and confirmed that everything was working safely and correctly before leaving.
