Joe was prompt and knows his stuff. He was thorough, produced a very good written report, and was able to suggest people for repairs that had to be made. I was especially pleased that he came out a second time at no charge to answer some questions I had, and to provide advice and counsel on some basement issues.
Description of Work: Joe performed a home inspection on the house we were buying. I was specifically attracted to him because he is a structural engineer, and I wanted him to evaluate my basement and possible water problems.

He showed up ready to do the inspection, let us trail him around, and answered all of our questions. Even the completely silly ones. He checked everything thoroughly and made sure he wrote everything down. We received a 23 page report that included his field notes and drawings of things he found. He went through the report with us that day when he was finished and made sure we understood everything that was wrong with the house. He was nice and polite and easy to work with and talk to. He spoke in terms that anyone could understand. When we got the report I had a few questions and was able to get him right away. He was happy to help me. He does not do termite inspections though.
Description of Work: We had a contract to purchase a home and he did the inspection. He spent hours going through the house and he did not miss a thing. He checked every door, window, outlet, sink, all the brick work then climbed up through and over every nook and cranny. He's a structural engineer and explained the settling of the house, it is an older home, and why things were done the way they were. He knew about older homes and why it had settled the way it did, he even gave us suggestions as to what to do if we added a bathroom to the house. Also gave us advice on some basement issues.
