driveway pavers
 + -1 morecould not have been prompter or neater. Spent a lot time preparing the driveway on a previous day. They take real pride in the appearance of the edges and the smoothness of the seams as well as making it straight and sturdy. Wonderful job. I think the price was excellent for the quality of the job.

 + -1 moreIt is the best looking asphalt driveway in the neighborhood. It stands out as being superior in quality & looks. First of all they recommended several things we hadn't thought about: buried downspouts and extended the new PVC pipes to go away from the house, shoring up the edges of all of the areas (previous asphalt company just left the edges rough), expanding the width of the drive in one area to make it easier to get into the carport area, adding a sidewalk ramp to the back door, getting rid of a hump that a previous asphalt comany left as you entered the garage (the asphalt was taller then the garage floor), fixing the front sidewalk to be wider & shore up the edges. We had a couple quotes and theirs was the same price range.
Description of Work: Removed old broken driveway and replaced and or addeded the complete driveway and carport area with new asphalt. Buried gutter drains under the drive. Added additional rock to shore up a carport area that had been eroding due to a slight hill.

Description of Work: They repaved my entire driveway with new asphalt. I had to wait 24 hours before I could walk on the new tar and stone mixture. What I discovered was that about 30-35% of the driveway had an uneven texture. In simple terms, in numerous areas there was not adequate tar surrounding the gravel, exposing the crushed stone. I called immediately to express my concern, and was offered the following as an excuse. "We get that complaint from time to time, however, it's a problem with the company that we buy our asphalt mixture from and there is nothing that can be done about it". They did not even offer to send a representative out to see what I was upset about. When I asked about sealing the driveway they inform me that I would have to let the asphalt stand for 1-2 years before applying sealant. I would like to point out that I wrote a check to Commonwealth Paving and not to some second rate supplier/subcontractor.
