Cleaning Maid EZ

I phoned Lissa (the owner) in late August 2013 regarding house cleaning for our home on a bi weekly basis. The conversation started off a bit awkward at first with a bit of silence after I told her I was inquiring about her cleaning services but then when I asked her to describe what she does she explained what she did in pretty good detail. She told me that she starts with a deep cleaning for a cost of around $165.00 then maintains the deep clean with the bi weekly cleans which cost around $65.00-$75.00 per clean. I was really sold on the price and I had read good reviews on thumbtack.com so I told her that I would speak with my husband and get back with her. I asked if she needed my name or phone number or any other information before we hung up and she said no. I spoke with my husband and he said let's have her come to the house so we can meet her before we hire her. I called Lissa back and requested that she come out to the house she said that wouldn't be a problem. She gave me a date and time she could come and I asked her to call me before she came. She was very prompt when she came and she did call me before her drive over. I told her that I was just leaving work but my husband would be there if I hadn't made it yet. She beat me to the house so my husband showed her around. I got there a few minutes later and everything seemed to go ok with the tour. She was very pleasant in person. I asked her again the cost and she quoted $75.00 - $85.00 for our house. Again we liked the price and we liked Lissa. We were ready to set her up on the spot but she didn't have any kind of calendar or date book with her which kind of surprised me a bit. She said she would e-mail us with dates and times she had available so I provided her with my e-mail address and again my phone number. It's been almost over a week and we haven't heard anything from her. I even stressed the sooner we get something set the better. At this point my husband and I both agreed it's safe to assume she doesn't want the business which is rather disappointing because we did like her I now question the authenticity of some of the reviews I have read because sooo many others have stated what a wonderful experience they've had with her business. Unfortunately we never got the chance. Maybe someone else will have better luck!
