It was great... The guys were super nice. They moved everything so quickly and efficiently. I cannot believe they got all of our stuff in one truck. Even better when unloading. I wanted to see what a love seat would look like in our bedroom and when I commented how it was too big - no problem. They moved it for us without question. I would recommend this company in a heartbeat!

Two men were on time, the job became more involved with the large piece being three individual pieces but the guys did a good job just as I asked. I would call again.

This company was not interested in assisting me with my move from IN to Louisville . Their estimate was double compaired to other estimates or the same service.

After using Chappell for moving, I can't imagine using anyone else. They moved two floors of furniture, navigating tight spaces and steep stairs without a single complaint or a single bit of damage to any wall or piece of furniture. They handled my grandfather's rool-top desk with tender loving care despite it having a broken leg and got it safely moved to its new home. The guys were so professional, so fast, so kind and overall wonderful. They arrived on time and worked diligently until the job was done. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They may not have been the cheapest movers, but they certainly are the best and if you want your things to arrive in perfect condition, call them!

Moved 3 truckloads of heavy items, some difficult to get to, from 4 floors quickly and efficiently over two days, to 3 offsite locations, professionally and without complaint. (where some may have been warranted)

They worked hard and did a super job.

They sent 3 men to do the job. They were great. They were very careful with my furniture and placed it exactly where I wanted. They were very pleasant. Arrived on time and did not waste any time. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family. I could not have asked for better movers.

Three representatives from Chappell's - Gary, Mike, and another individual - arrived exactly on time with one truck, checked out all of our belongings, made a plan, and started taking things out immediately. We had a lot of boxes and some heavy furniture like a heavy office desk, a large armoire, and an elliptical machine. They were careful with our things, and I didn't notice a single scratch on anything after the move. The entire move took about six hours. It would have gone even faster, but the house to which we moved sits on a hill, which made it more difficult and time consuming. Regardless of the hill, the movers were very nice and accommodating to every request. I was more than impressed with their great attitudes and work ethic. If I move again, I will absolutely be calling Chappell's.

We moved most of our smaller things ourselves, like clothes, dishes, etc. But we hired Chappell to move our furniture, appliances, exercise gear, etc. They were right on time. After a quick walk-through to determine what they were to move, they got started right away. They didn't waste any time. They were friendly and even made our 3-year-old grandson feel like he was helping them out at times. We were very pleased with the service, care, punctuality and the price. I hope we never move again, but if we do, we will be calling Chappell!

Highly disappointed. I read all of the reviews about this company anticipating a satisfactory experience. After making special arrangements to have our baby grand piano moved early in the morning on a Saturday - shortening an out of town visit with relatives - I was so highly dismayed with the handling of our appointment that I inevitably had to cancel the service entirely. Having made this appointment over a week in advance, imagine my surprise when I received a call at 8 AM to tell me that our expected pick up time of 8:30 AM would have to be pushed all the way back to 12 PM because they had and quot;a problemand quot;. At 12:20 (an additional 20 minutes later than expected) I made a courteous call to the office to see what kind of estimated time I could expect our movers and received a very short response that they would be calling me back. Didn't hear a thing for another 20 minutes so I called the office AGAIN. I was given a similarly short response that the movers were running behind on the last move and that they would be calling me soon. I never received a call. By 1:10 PM (over an hour after the rescheduled appointment) I called back to the main office to cancel. How can I be expected to trust a company with my antique baby grand piano who doesn't even bother to call back when they run over an hour late? Technically, they were over 4 and a half hours late. There are still plenty of great reviews here so I hope your experience with Chappel Moving and Storage is far better than mine.

We have a huge couch, and we couldn't get it moved. We thought we were going to have to sell it. They came in and said that it was not a problem and would get it moved for us. Anything that they saw needed to be done, they jumped and did it. They were very professional.

George, Elvis, and the two other gentlemen were fantastic. They showed up on time and were exceptionally polite. They carefully moved all of our boxes and furniture. None of our items were damaged. They also worked very fast. They started at 8:30 and had us loaded by around 2. I never worried that they weren't working while they were here. I will definitely recommend them in the future and will use them again.

I am so pleased with Chappell and will certainly use them again and refer them to friends. Mine was a small job, but they handled it promptly, courteously, and professionally. They also moved a bookcase to the first floor, although this was not in their orignal quote. As it turned out, the actual cost was almost $100 lower than the original estimate, so I was most pleased with their honesty. When I decide to relocate, these are the people I will call.

It went extremely well, even better than I'd anticipated. I would suggest that a customer carefully review the addresses and orders with the owner. My job involved three addresses and there was a little mix-up in the write-up of the job order. That did not cause a problem ultimately because the crew stayed in touch and listened carefully to instructions about where to go first and how to get there. It would have helped them to have the orders perfectly correct from the start. Since you are paying by the hour, it is a good idea to do all you can ahead of time to clear the way for things to be moved and to know just where you want other items to be placed. The crew will do anything you ask, but time is money and indecision could be costly.

Chappell movers sent 2 trucks and a crew of 4 men to my mother's house on a Saturday morning to move her out of a house she had lived in for 50 years into a much smaller condo. They arrived on time and all walked through the house with me as I showed them what needed to be moved and gave them any special instructions regarding items. We had packed up many of her things already such as clothing, holiday decorations, books, etc. They moved all of the furniture and packed up all of her fragile heirloom china, glasses, serving pieces, etc. She has an extensive collection of these sorts of things. At least 5 large cabinets, buffets and china cabinets were packed full of fragile glass and china ware. One gentleman packed these things while the other men moved things out onto the truck. Most of my mom's furniture pieces are antiques and they were very careful with them. When we arrived at the new place, they had to work around lots of people and were very patient with us regarding placement of items. Chappell charges by the hour ( a preset fee for each hour + one additional hour + the cost of any packing materials used). Our total bill was only about $100 more than a competitor's estimate that did not include any packing. This worked out great for us because it allowed us to control our costs by doing as much packing as possible ourselves. I was glad I let them pack the fragile things. They had the proper materials and knew how to pack them safely. We have not unpacked everything yet, but so far everything came through the move without a scratch. The gentleman were all friendly, professional and efficient. I highly recommend Chappell movers.

They were punctual, very careful with our items, and worked quickly. Excellent service. We will use them again and recommend them highly.

I was called by the office staff prior to the arrival, making sure that I was still planning for them to come that date. They arrived on time, a few minutes before 8:30am, as they said they would. They went through the house, looking at the items to be moved and making a plan as to which order to load the truck. The piano was wrapped up in pads, legs removed, etc. The house it was moved from had a curved front staircase of at least 12 or 13 steps. There were 3 movers and they did an excellent job with everything. They offered advice and suggestions about the placement of the piano. They had to remove a door to get the large desk in the office room. They were very polite and efficient and I felt that the price was fair. The quoted price for moving the piano was $200, so the added cost was for the extra furniture that they moved. I would definitely hire them again for large or small jobs.

All of the workers for Chappell were very courteous and professional. They got the job done in the time they said they would. They were neat and clean by putting protective barriers on the floors as not to leave footprints and so forth.

Chappell picked up the house furniture,and held it on their truck for one week because new place was not ready. About one month later they moved my shop equipment witch took three trips. Chappell was on time and preformed work very professionaly. Would be first choice if I ever move again

We are SO very thankful for our moving team from Chappell Movers for coming the day after Christmas to move us. They did an amazing job!!! I had scheduled for the 27th, but received a call that we were closing at 11 on the 27th. Being overwhelmed and exhausted, the closing date change sent me into a complete meltdown. When I called to see if we could change the date, I figured I would be told that they couldn't do it on the 26th. Instead, I talked to sweet lady that told me and quot;don't worry, honey, we'll get you moved on the 26th.and quot; We'll be there at 8:30 with 3 men and a 26' truck. That's exactly what happened. We were taking most of our things to storage, a few things, including a piano, to our daughters and they even deliverd some things to a family that was in need of some of our furniture. They worked quickly and carefully, no scratches or dents on furniture or walls and hoping that all that was put in storage fares as well when we move them out. Elvis, I called him and quot;Mr. Magic,and quot; knows how to load a truck and how to get things through doors, just like Santa gets down the chimney. They completed the work in far less time than we expected, and at a price less than we were expecting. This is the first time we have used movers and we are happy to say it was a good experience. Thanks Elvis, Larry and Gary and the sweet lady that answered the phone for making our move so much easier than we had anticipated.

The crew was so careful of all of our stuff, and nothing was broken in the move. They were reasonably priced, clean, and did excellent work.

The crew arrived when promised and took care of everything we needed. They were very polite and helpful and were obviously experienced in piano set-up and in moving heavy items as a team. We were satisfied with their work and would definitely recommend them.

I would definitely use Chappell again--although I hope this is our last move! When I called the first time, they quoted a rate of $93/hour for two men and a truck. I told them approximately how many boxes I had, and they suggested sending four men and two trucks instead, which would run $128/hour, which is clearly a better deal and which I opted for. They told me up front that an extra hour would be added to allow for travel and fueling time. We ended up paying for 7.5 hours, a bit less than I expected. (By the way, they didn't charge extra to move our piano as some companies do.) I originally scheduled the move for a Saturday. When we found out we would get possession a day early, I called (a week ahead) and they were able to move our date to the Friday. The crew showed up promptly and immediately had me show them through the house to clarify what would go and what would stay. Then they got started, only bothering me to make sure it was okay to take a door and a gate off the hinges. (I was able to follow behind them to vacuum, clean windows, etc. in preparation for handing over possession.) Although it was one of the hottest days of the year, they worked steadily and took less breaks than I would have. They took a 15-minute lunch break and made a quick store stop on the way to the new house; other than that, they worked for seven solid hours. I was impressed with the care the movers took with our possessions and both houses. I heard them several times coaching each other, pointing out a low-hanging light fixture, etc. In the end, they slightly scuffed one wall--which they immediately told me about. The only broken item was something we moved ourselves. All four workers were pleasant and courteous. They were also grateful for the Gatorade and lunch we provided. One of them mentioned that some clients don't even offer them water, which is really sad. WHATEVER MOVER YOU USE, TREAT THE WORKERS RIGHT AND THEY'LL PROBABLY TREAT YOU (AND YOUR STUFF) RIGHT!!
