I found Champion Windows at a trade show in Louisville, Kentucky in 2006. The sales rep. came to our home and measured for 8 replacement windows, all in the same room. Being very sensitive to contractors littering my yard with their cigarette butts, I brought my concerns to the sales rep who assured me their crews wouldn't do that. Nevertheless, I made him specify in writing on the work order that the installers would not leave their butts in our yard. I reiterated my request to the person in charge of the installers. After the installation, I found cigarette butts all over the yard. When I inspected the installation, it looked terrible. The "frames" around the windows were not wood, but sheet metal bent and made to look like painted wood. On the outside, the j-channel was poorly attached, and an eyesore. I complained to the installation manager, who came out, took pictures, and said he'd have the crew come back out and fix it. I demanded a different crew, since the clowns he sent out in the first place had already demonstrated blatant disrespect for my property despite my many requests that they don't use my yard as their ash tray. He sent the same crew anyway, who added even more butts to my yard. As part of the renovation, another contractor had to remove the drywall around several of the windows Champion installed. When he did, he found Champion had installed their windows over rotten wood. Additionally, one set of windows, which were double sliders mulled together to span about 8 feet, could be physically moved in and out several inches. It's a wonder the wind didn't blow the windows right out of the wall. Upon inspection, they were not attached to the wall at the top. At that point, I demanded further repairs. Fortunately, there had been some turnover in Champion's staff, and I found a sympathetic ear who humbly apologized and wanted to do everything possible to reverse the bad reputation they had with me. Reluctantly, I said that if they fixed the loose window, I might let them quote me on 6 new windows and siding the whole-house. Their response was very slow, but ultimately they came and fixed the loose window, almost three years after installation. They were too slow in responding, so I found other replacement windows, but was still considering them to quote me on the siding. After getting several quotes from other companies, I got tired of waiting for Champion to call, so I figured they weren't interested. I gave the job to a competitor. When Champion finally did call, my wife told them we had gone with another company. Champion berated her for not giving them an opportunity. She was verbally chastised as being ungrateful, saying "After all we did for you...." Obviously, the only reason Champion fixed their shoddy installations is because they thought they had a chance at my siding, which would have been huge for them since we have a large, 3-story home. The only thing good about Champion is the quality of their windows. They're among the best vinyl windows I've seen. But they don't make up for Champion's poor quality installation, abysmal customer service, and appalling lack of professionalism.

The experience seemed to go OK. I had a couple of problems initially with a couple of the windows where I felt the work was not quite up to snuff. I called the company and one of the business managers came out to see what the problems were. I took him around to the windows and showed him what I felt had not been done well and he agreed to fix the problems. He did so quickly and effectively. The windows have not since given me any further trouble, and I have had these windows in my house for 5+ years now. They have withstood hurricanes and serious rainstorms that have struck the area in the recent past. The staff delivered on time what they said they would do with the exception of the initial problems.

They did quality work and got the sun room put in quickly, but there were a few minor things that bothered me about it. I had a couple of issues with the doors and even after eight years they came out and took care of it. They stood behind their work.

I was promised a professional service. When I asked the question about who would be installing I was told it would sub-contractors but there would be a supervisor. The supervisor however came only on the first day and was never seen again. The contractors could not speak English and did not understand any questions I asked. When contacting the supervisor, only voicemail and no return calls ever. Repeated phone calls to sales representative was made to confirm work that had to be done that was quoted on e.g. soffits at bay window overhang. He was very professional and replied as soon as information became available to him. All work was eventually completed, but the service was NOT professional as promised. For somebody like me that travels week in and week out, they did not live up to the no hassle experience. After the contractors left there was only 5 of 11 koi left in my pond. With no physical proof the company could only apologize and move on.

I WOULD SAY IT WAS GOOD SERVICE, I LIKED IT. I THOUGHT THEY HAD THE BEST TYPE OF PRODUCT COMPARED TO WHAT OTHER COMPANIES HAD IN TERMS OF HELPING TO KEEP UP WITH THE WEATHER.

I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE FINISHED PRODUCT. I THOUGHT THAT THE PRICING WAS COMPETITIVE AND FAIR FOR THE WORK THAT WAS DONE. I THOUGHT THAT THE TRIM THAT THEY PUT AROUND THE WINDOWS MATCHED VERY WELL WITH THE HOUSE.

THEY PUT THE WINDOWS IN AND PUT ALUMINUM MOLDING AROUND THEM ON THE OUTSIDE, BUT THEY WOULDN'T CAULK AROUND IT. STILL TO THIS DAY, THEY HAVEN'T. IN SOME PLACES THERE'S A QUARTER INCH GAP AROUND IT. THEY DID A PROFESSIONAL JOB AT SEVERAL FRIENDS HOUSE BUT NOT AT MINE.
