Cast Stone Concepts

I decided to do an inexpensive remodel for my older Highlands bathroom. Long ago someone had replaced the original sink with a wooden vanity and what looked like .... a plastic counter top and ceramic sink. Ugly! Todd Bisig came out and measured for a concrete countertop/sink and gave me so many choices of colors and patterns that it was overwhelming (they can match any color). Todd made samples for me of several colors and I decided on a darker white that went well with the older subway tiles on the walls. I chose an oval sink....lots of choices there too! The countertop took about a week and a half to make. Todd and his partner brought it to the house and installed it. That took about 3 hours. The counter is 1 inch thicker than the old counter and I love that! It looks sturdy and lovely AND I like a taller vanity...it looks more updated! I'm amazed at the shine and spots simply don't show like on granite. I don't know why. A little Windex and it sparkles. I know that Todd Bisig's family has been in the concrete business for years in Louisville. He and his partner started Cast Stone Concepts several years ago and I met them at an incredible Homearama house where they had done all of the countertops in the huge home. I wondered if they would take on my tiny job, but they treated me like a valuable client. I had a dinner party that weekend and threatened to have it in the bath!
