Boston Carpet and Air Duct Cleaning

Went very well.....lots of stuff in the air ducts from a child throwing stuff in there, including a book..LOL. Carpets needed cleaned with lots of stains, but they look great now. Did the best they could with old stains and marks.

I purchased the 7 room, 1800 square feet package on Angie's List. Appointment scheduled about 2 weeks out. They showed up right on time, and we looked at all the rooms I needed cleaned. Asked them if they could add a hallway which they said no problem, we'll throw that in. Overall cleaning took a little over an hour, and now that everything is dry, it looks great. They even ended up doing one other room that I thought I'd have to skip this time, and they threw that in as well. Great customer service oriented company! They will get my repeat business.

Boston Carpet & Duct cleaning always does a great job & are very prompt & responsive. One note of caution....count the number of ducts to have. Final cost can be much higher than the $179 Angie's deal.

Not well. My appointment was for 2pm, but received call at 9:30am to say he was on way. I said I was at work and couldn't leave until closer to the appointment time. After arriving, he said my semi-rigid dryer hose (only a few months old) was unclamped (it wasn't before he moved the dryer). Instead of reattaching the hose, he replaced it. I should have questioned this, but he's the "dryer vent" expert. I now wonder why he was unable to reconnect the existing hose. It's now 7 weeks later and my clothes are taking 20 minutes longer to dry. But more worrisome is the top of the dryer (when running) is so hot it's like the surface of a stove with the oven on. It was never like that before. Due to that, I moved the dryer to look at the hose. He installed a flexible metallic hose (which isn't recommended), and it's laying on the floor, and it loops back and around on top of itself. Given the dryer is now so hot to the touch, and not drying well, I believe this bending & layering has compromised the air flow and constitutes a fire hazard. I'm afraid to use the dryer until I can find someone to come and reinstall the original dryer hose. Bottom line--the hose shouldn't have been reconnected & not replaced, and it certainly should have installed it differently. I'm now facing a fire hazard and a cost to have the original hose reinstalled.

I would hire again, but make sure I checked everything before the worker left. I have a spot that wasn't there before in my living room. I emailed them about it and they answered but did not offer to come and look at it, even after I emailed back about that. Work was done very fast - he was gone within 1 1/2 hrs.

Men were very nice and on time. Made a mess in every room and didn't clean it up. Even got dirt in candy dish full of candy on kitchen table even after I asked if I needed to move anything. Dust on clothes in closet and on bedspread in bedroom. After they left a friend came to visit and went to guest bathroom. While in there the vent fell out of ceiling and hit her in the head. I offered to move things or cover things and were assured there would not be a mess. Cost me additional $179 above the deal of $179. The two men were very nice but not worth the mess they left behind.

I purchased an Angie's List "deal" for dryer vent duct cleaning, and this company was really wonderful! From the moment I called to schedule the appointment to the e-mail and text reminders, the customer service was truly top notch. I didn't realize it until I was given a card at the end of the appointment, but I believe the man who performed the actual service was Dan Boston (the owner?). He was punctual, efficient, and the room was left clean. I would absolutely recommend this company - I'm so sad that I only just discovered them right as we are preparing to move out of state!
