Utilizing our moving services for local residential moves or long distance residential moves is painless and simply involves an over-the-phone or in-home estimate of your move.
Whether moving an office, industrial, healthcare or government facility, our team facilitates a smooth transition into your new location, allowing your team to focus on business as usual.
At Armstrong, we understand the great responsibility of keeping your possessions safe and secure. We provide a broad range of professional storage services and storage options.
Armstrong Relocation moved us from KY to Minnesota in July of 2018. They might do okay if it is a corporate or military move, but as a self-pay move we felt we were treated very poorly. After the initial sales pitch and promises, they were horrible about communication. We did not choose the cheapest estimate, but the one we thought would make for a smooth move. We were very disappointed in their customer service! Our household sat in a container and "baked" for 10 days without getting put on their schedule and they could not give us a delivery date (when we were told they would provide that information once our household was picked up), and we always had to initiate any contact in an attempt to get updates. We believe we continually got shuffled to the bottom of the pile because they knew we were leaving the area and would not generate return business. EXTREMELY BAD SERVICE for a self-pay move of over $12,000!

Description of Work: They were on time. Very polite and professional. They went above and beyond what most movers would do. We have moved six times and this has been the best by far. Billy Perez and his crew were fantastic.

Every piece of furniture was damaged in the move, including two leather couches were torn and all of our lamps were not salvageable and they made no attempt to rectify the damage.

I am delighted to write an A+ review for Armstrong Relocation. It was my very good fortune to learn of Armstrong Relocation through a meeting with Jim Bormann. the spouse of the owner. His generosity prompted me to contact Armstrong. My house was up for sale and I had just begun getting telephone quotes for an interstate move. Lisa?s sincere demeanor and long-term experience in Louisville with long-distance moves ended my search. Lisa's quotes were honest and practical. Armstrong did virtually all the packing. Much packing was needed before the move to facilitate staging the house. The driver and crew that did the packing, also did the loading in Louisville, and the unloading in Charlotte. They are absolutely first rate. Throughout the process, I found Lisa and Jim Ewing always responsive, cheerful and a source of good, sound advice. Any move is stressful, but Lisa, Jim and all at Armstrong was an enormous help. I am very pleased to recommend Armstrong of Louisville to anyone and everyone.

They came on scheduled day with a crew of 5 to help pack and load the truck - they worked fast and efficient and were very professional. Two returned the next day to disassemble beds and finish loading the truck and clear out anything remaining in house. They drove to Houston and delivered to our new house next day and unpacked into new house, placing boxes were asked and reassembling beds. They worked hard and professional with refreshingly up-beat attitudes.

The move went perfectly. The men who loaded our things onto the truck were the same men who unloaded it in Charlotte. They were punctual, professional, and polite. They handled our things with great care and there wasn't a scratch on anything. I would recommend them highly - and in fact, I already have recommended them to others.

It was a very unreal experience....to see such bad service and lack of company pride or sence of responsibility by the corporate office was particularly amazing. My child was intimidated and I was insulted. I will be very careful with the next movers I use and check Angie's List first. At this point I need to take my car to the dealer and pay out of pocket when they have done nothing but profited. How can a company behave that way? I cannot report on their quote/cost for the job, but I sure can comment on their quality.....it doesn't exist.
Description of Work: I actually did not directly engage this firm but I certainly had an experience with them. Armstrong Relocation of Baton Rouge LA was the selected moving service for my next door neighbors. Armstrong blocked my only driveway. When I asked them to move the van so my daughter could leave to get to school and I to work, they did not. They said I had room to get out my gate. I pointed out the car across the street, and that it would be difficult. With no other option , I tried to back out, hit my own fence and broke the cover to my tail light. No apologies from Armstrong. My daughter went to take down the numbers & they actually said I hit them! When I called the office to complain about the intimidation and seek to get my light fixed, the person i spoke with said she was going to call the police! Thug behavior! I was incredulous. They also told their client I hit their vehicle. I have plenty of evidence to the contrary.

We were not asked to move our truck until after the neighbor's daughter hit the fence and then our truck. Instead of trying to resolve the issue the neighbor became irate over the phone and abruptly hung up before releasing any contact information. Had we been asked to move our truck we would have happily done so, as we always do.

1)the agent greatly miscalculated the amount of van space needed and required a 2nd van to move furniture from a bedroom, sitting room & exercise room...okay,mistakes happen. 2) the 2nd van was packed & ready next morning, but we were then informed it would not arrive until 10 days after the 1st van...one day difference in loading yet 10 days difference in arrival. 3) when I complained that we could not wait an additional 10 days...esp for the bedroom furniture...they said they would get it to us in 3-5 days.4) when the 1st arrived, there were only 2 people on the truck to unload all of it & a local United Van LIne employee to assist for a couple of hours. We had 190 boxes alone, not counting the furniture...and obviously not enough people to properly unload the truck.5) due to the lack of employees, the moving men never assembled the furniture that they had disassembled when packing...dining room tables, coffee tables, lamp tables, lamps. In addition, one bed was assembled backwards...with the headboard clearly marked that it was the BACK of the headboard facing front.6)because of the lack of personnel we were stuck with approx 150 boxes to dispose off at our own expense.7) when I complained, on-line, to United Van Lines - the national company, their response was that they were not involved since this was a local, in-state move and was not a United Van Lines concern since it"derived no benefit from, had no involvement with, noir has any authority over your move with Armstrong Relocation"8) I called United Van Lines on 6/4/2012 and spoke with Heather Pearson. I wanted to know how a move from Louisiana to Ohio is considered an instate, local move...the documents & contracts were all United Van Lines stationary, all the people involved in packing, etc wore United Van Lines shirts and the van was clearly marked United Van Lines. After reviewing more details on the move, Ms. Pearson agreed that this move did come under United Van Lines purview & would follow up on just what happened and get back to me.9) Left voice mail with Ms Pearson on 6/12/2012 requesting update on status of my complaint since I had not heard from her.10) Left voice mail with Ms Pearson on 6/21/2012 wanting to know why I have not heard any response from her and that I found the entire situation to be extremely unprofessional, esp considering this was a national company.11) Today is June 26, 2012...no response from anyone.12) Though there had been damage to some property from the move, I only found out after the fact that I only had 20 days to file a claim...took me more than 20 days to just unpack boxes & reassemble furniture!!!!!13) we are considering filing a claim in small claims court for a partial refund, since the contract was never fully completed. Never been to small claims court, so not sure yet.
Description of Work: Armstrong Relocation/United Van LinesThis was supposed to be a full-service move...packing, dis-assemble furniture & re-assemble it at final location. We have made several long-distance moves over the years and this was the moving company from Hades.

They were really good. I have a $10,000. Christmas ornament collection that they packed and not a single one was broken. They did a great job. They were punctual, responsive, and professional. Compared to other companies, they were very well priced. I would, most definitely, use this company again.

The verbal estimate they gave me was much lower than the total cost. I called the owner and he said he would agree to the original quote. I had to continually pursue them for about 2 or 3 weeks but they eventually resolved all of the issues.

This review is based on labor only. This customer requested a "Ball Park" estimate to load their U-Haul rental truck. We based the length of time on what the customer told us, over the phone, he was shipping. The actual amount was different, therefore the charges were increased.

Overall our experience was excellent. The packers, movers, and our salesman were all great. We had some damage and the claim was handled efficiently and resolved with all parties satisfied.
Description of Work: Armstrong did a COMPLETE long distance move for us. I don't recall the cost, but they were higher than others we received quotes from. They packed EVERYTHING and did a great job. The movers were quick and worked extremely hard. We moved from Louisiana to Virginia and they arrived at least an hour early to begin delivery.

I have done more than six relocations in my life and this was by far the best. The personnel were extremely careful with the household items and furnishings and damage was negligible. The same persons who packed and loaded the van rode with the driver from Louisiana to Tennessee where they unloaded and placed furniture as we desired (we chose to do our own unpacking). Unloading a very large van load required the personnel to stay at the Tennessee house until late at night which they did willingly. The company also accommodated changes in the scheduled pickup and delivery which we requested. I highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: This company first provided an estimate of costs and an explanation and description of the service. Personnel arrived on the agreed upon dates to pack and load two households for a single destination. The relocation was from Baton Rouge, LA to Murfreesboro, TN.
