Please see above; I guess I combined each question into one detailed report instead of splitting the narrative in two.
Description of Work: I believe the price I mentioned above may have been higher; it has been a while so I don't remember. I was on this site today looking for exterminators and ran across this company, who has provided me with great service 3 times in the past, so I thought I would leave a good review for them while I was here anyway. They did a great job removing racoons from a residence I rented in Crescent Hill. One time, there were baby raccoons involved, and they were very humane and professional. Another time, one of the raccoons, after trapped, managed to somehow scoot the cage off of the porch roof (there was barely a grade at all; it was practically flat!), the cage broke open, and the big guy got away. Within a week or less, though, they had him safely in custody once more, and again with great care and very humanely. Both of those times, I was renting, so I didn't pay for the service personally. Also, both these incidents were several years apart, which demonstrates consistency in the quality of their service. A few years ago, in my own home, I discovered I had a colony of bats living in my attic. Every evening, it was pretty cool to see them sweeping out of the vented gables (I like bats!), but still, you know, not in my attic. They put up some kind of contraption that would allow them to exit the attic, but prevented them from re-entering. Since there were likely babies living among the colony, this gave them the chance to grow up and exit with their mothers without harm. After a month or two, the company came back and sealed the vents for good, after making sure the colony was gone. I was (still am) so happy and satisfied with the way this issue was handled. Several bats still make their homes behind the outside shutters to my windows, and I can still see them flying around in the evening and even see where they are sleeping and making their homes in the daytime if I look hard enough. I love that they still make their home around mine; even if I didn't like bats in general, having them around for mosquito control is priceless! Speaking of price, though, the bat incident is the first time I had to pay for their services myself, instead of the landlord before. I have to say, as wonderful, polite, prompt, great methods and humane service they provide, the sticker shock was huge. I can't remember exactly how much the bat problem cost, but I could swear it was close to $800 or even more--something rings a bell that it was closer to $1000, but I don't want to misrepresent them. Because honestly, the service each time I've used them has been has been a wonderful experience overall. I'm sure there is more behind the scenes costs involved in this kind of work; I would never say that I felt ripped off, only that it is a very expensive problem to have taken care of!
