Description of Work: We have been using A. N. Roth Co. for all our heating and A/C needs since 1997, and we have always been more than satisfied with their work. We have an annual contract for routine maintenance of the furnace, A/C and (the past two years) generator. They come twice a year, check everything thoroughly and make whatever adjustments are needed, replace the furnace filter and, when necessary, humidifier water panel (and, for the generator, the oil and spark plug). They don't charge extra for replacing the filter and water panel, even though I buy those from another company. During these visits they also make small repairs (such as unclogging the humidifier water line) without charging extra. The annual contract now costs $300 (of which I think $110 is for the generator). About 7 years ago we decided to replace our ancient furnace and A/C condenser, and had A. N. Roth do that work. They did it promptly and professionally, and at what we considered a fair price, and we've had no trouble at all with either since then. Two years ago, after suffering from frequent and sometimes lengthy electric outages, we bought a natural gas powered Generac generator from them and had them install it. That cost a good deal of money, and because we really knew nothing about this sort of generator, I don't think we would have trusted anybody else to do the job for us. But we knew that A. N. Roth would stand behind their work. It works fine, turning itself on automatically when the power goes out, and back off when power is restored, and has saved us a lot of worry. I doubt A. N. Roth is the cheapest heating/cooling contractor in Louisville, but we've always felt we got our money's worth from them, and more.
