We located this company because it was highly rated on Angie's List. We were very impressed with the efficiency of the work and how well they cleaned up. we had researched roofing materials and chose a composite slate shingle. American Roofing found us a better product at a lower price. We are very pleased with our new roof and have had many compliments from our neighbors. We would highly recommend George at American Roofing.

The evaluation and estimate process was done very professionally. The work was performed about 1 week later than originally scheduled. The estimated completion time was on excess of what was estimated, but occurred in my own time estimation. The workers cleaned up the area very good at the end of each day. The work was performed in mid-90's temperatures. A generator, which was placed near a medium-sized cherry tree, was necessary for the power nailers. The day after the work was finished, the tree lost all of its leaves. A landscape specialist stated the heat from the generator near the tree is probably the cause for the tree's death. Since I'm unable to prove this, I did not pursue the matter with the company. It also took a few phone calls after completion of the main portion of the job to get a couple of small items completed.

After repeatedly trying to use volunteers to repair a leak on a rolled roof on a church building, we filed an insurance claim. The insurance co. asked us to contact this company to inquire re: cause of damage. They came IMMEDIATELY, found and repaired the problem for $250. The company said the roof has another 10-15 years left before replacement. Great news and great service.

Ohhh daddy!!! If you're looking to spend Big Bucks, this is the company. I got an estimate for replacement of my garage roof , gutters and gutter guard. Garage is between 8 and 9 squares, one story walkable hip roof. About 110 feet of gutters. Grand total was almost $4400 !!!! They must have NASA engineers doing their work. I'm having the job done for less than $3000. Their roof estimate was more than $500 higher than the average of the other estimates I got. Their gutter estimate was $200-$300 higher than everybody else's and their gutter guard probably rivals Gutter Helmet in price, mucho expensive. So, if money is no object or you just want a good laugh, give them a call.

We got bumped ahead in line due to a cancellation and that saved us two weeks of wait time. The crew arrived and completed the work in around 6 hours. American's estimator, Jeff, was very professional and courteous.

I had hired this company because of a good report from the facilities manager at my church where American had recently done some work. I also checked Angie's List for customer reviews and they were uniformly good. Staff was pleasant, professional, punctual. I purchased an annual roofing maintenance contract in addition to having immediate repairs made. Good experience.

Execellent, was one of 4 quotes and the only one that provided details on what what and how it would be installed. Steven, used satelite photo program to generate accurate drawing of roof to generate quote. Quote was lowest, and had the best warranty (5) years, and has been in business since the early 70's.. Kyle, the on site manager phone prior to each day's work to explain what would happen the next day. Job took 2 1/2 days to complete. Effiecent, organized crew.

George came exactally as scheduled. He took the time to canvass the entire roof, take pictures, and explain all of the areas of concern. His estimate was well written and covered everything. I did have a few other questions later, which he answered quickly and without hesitation. The estimate was completley fair and in line with the other estimates I received. I would and will call this company if I need work in the future.

After checking Angie's List for the best rated roofing companies. we decided to get 3 estimates and go with the lowest, knowing we would still be getting a reliable roofing company. Easy, right? Wrong! The first two companies sent reps who, just coming to give an estimate, helped us make up our minds as to who NOT to use ! One guy talked the whole time about where you could get the best mexican food in town and the other spent an hour discussing his recent vacations. In addition and more importantly, in looking over each of their estimates, we noticed that neither had listed specific areas of concern that we had tried to discuss with them which would have fallen under 'add on' as to the price of the work. Talk about not feeling heard ! ! ! The 3rd company was American Roofing and Metal. While we had never even heard of them, their rep, Stephen Stewart was our 'roofing knight in shining armor' ! This young man was articulate, knowledgable, really listened to every concern we had from damage to the landscaping to fixing a small area of siding. He encouraged us to buy a good quality and attractive roofing product without over-selling anything and was never the slightest bit pushy. We could go on for days as to how perfectly he represents the company, but can only say that his estimate was complete and thorough in every way and while a few hundred dollars more than 't*** guy' and 'vacation man's estimates, we went with American Roofing and Metal and were thrilled that we did. I really believe that the reason for the price difference was because Stephen actually listed the 'add ons' on his estimate while the other two guys were going to get us with a low estimate and then hit us with the 'add ons' once the job was over. Don't know that for sure, but certainly is how it seemed. American Roofing and Metal arrived on time, the crew worked hard, did a great job and left the area s*** and span. I think I picked up a total of 6 nails after they left and compared to the 100+ from our last roofing experience, quite an improvement. They didn't damage any of our new landscaping and even protected our air conditioner unit and moved patio furniture before beginning their work. Last, but not least ,forman Jeff Welch deserves recognition for the way he followed up with us to make sure everything was perfect and exactly what we had expected. Probably because I was looking for something ~ anything ~ that they might have messed up, left off or didn't do, I did find a couple of small issues to point out to Jeff who was glad to take care of the tiniest thing to insure he had a happy customer. From Stephen to Jeff to Jeana in the office, there wasn't one single snag in the entire process of re-roofing our home. We will always happily refer this company and when the time comes many years from now for a new roof, you can be we won't be price shopping again !

When I called to ask for an estimate, the staff was very professional and courteous. Someone came to our house within the time specified and provided an estimate and three alternatives for shingles. When the work was scheduled, the crew showed up on time, worked hard, and cleaned up after themselves. We were extremely pleased.

they came quickly after I called for an estimate for repair of leaking roof, Gave me an 800 dollar estimate, which seemed high but.it was in a valley of the roof. and each shingle had to be cut. The customer service person who was very nice said it would be two weeks before they could come to do the repair, I said OK but thought I might look for another company, as alot of rain was forcast. I got a call the next day saying they could come that week, that no one had to be home and they would bill me. The leak was fixed and I couldn't find any signs they had been here,except I could tell the shingles had been replaced. No mess at all!!!

The crew was outstanding in removing, replacing and cleaning up roofing materials. They were efficient, professional and performed the work in 1.2 days.

The company was very busy from all the other claims in the city, and I contracted with American probably two months after the windstorm. They had the second-lowest estimate of the estimates I received, but they were by far the most communicative, and that swung my decision. Reroofing during the winter is tricky, so I knew it would take a long time before they got to me. I thought we were ready to go in January, but then the shingles weren't in, and then the ice storm hit. Finally, Stephen (my main contact) emailed me to say the crew would be there on a Wednesday between 8 and 8:30 a.m. and the job would take one business day. He was right -- crew was there by eight, all the shingles were off by 8:30, and the entire job, with cleanup, was complete by the time I came home from work. Finally, Stephen and I had corresponded about the coupon from Angie's List. When the bill arrived without the proper discount, I emailed Stephen, who immediately fixed the amount. I was very pleased.

Price was a little high.

They are wonderful. The price was very reasonable. They got the work done in a timely matter. I have recommended them to three of our friends. They cleaned up very well and didn't ruin our yard. After they were done someone came and inspected it. I would highly recommend them.

I have used their services before. They are very professional and do excellent work. They have high quality products and their work is top notch. The quote was right on. They tell me when the work will be finished and they are always right on.

The start date was tough to nail down, but after waiting patiently for a few weeks, a crew of about eight extremely hard working guys came out and tore the old roof off, laid new felt and water shield, installed new drip edge and flashing, and installed new dimensional shingles. The bid was among the most competitive (I probably got seven or eight bids) and the warranty was more than twice what the closest company was willing to offer. George was very thorough in his description of the materials and methods that they were going to use and the products were top quality. The installers really knocked it out but paid close attention to detail, replaced all questionable wood, meticulously fit the counter flashing, and cleaned my yard to "better than they found it" stage. I am quite pleased with the final product and I feel very confident that if I have any problems these guys will be very responsive. Overall a very pleasant experience!

THE WORKERS WERE PROMPT. THE JOB WAS DONE SATISFACTORILY. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND DID A VERY GOOD JOB. THEY WERE VERY QUICK. THEY QUALITY OF THE WORK WAS VERY GOOD AND CONSISTENT. OVERALL, I WAS SATISFIED.
