Allgeier Air

Description of Work: HVAC went out on Sunday afternoon. After an evening with google and trying to figure out things for myself, I succumbed to Angies list for help. After looking at the top 15 reviews for the HVAC companies and calling most of them Allgeier was able to come out this evening and take a look at the problem. It was relatively straight forward, Ronnie was in the attic and outside checking out the unit and quickly found the capacitor to be the culprit. He had plenty in the van and showed me thru the diagnosis and installation of the new part. Afterwards checked the coolant levels, explained his formula for checking the various levels and everything was found otherwise to be in good shape. I asked many questions out of curiosity, I am a physician and naturally very curious about such things, and Ronnie to the time to explain everything very well. With out hesitation would have him back out to service my unit, although I would rather pass him in the mall some time. A+

Description of Work: The service visit was not what it has been in the past. No filters were changed as they were in the past and I ended up getting out my own ladder to do that. I felt that this time it was a rushed job and not the comprehensive inspection and service it was last year. I hope this changes as this is a good company overall.

Description of Work: Repair Central Air Conditioner--my air conditioner was not cooling, and it was repaired the same day I called (Memorial Day). The repairman called when he was on his way to my house, and completed the repair within half an hour of his arrival. A new condenser was needed for my 6 year old air conditioner. He had the part on his truck. He did not try to sell me anything else; he just did the needed repair. I got a 5% discount, because I am a senior citizen.

Description of Work: Called, had no heat, technician checked system, and corrected problem promptly.

Description of Work: They were to come out and perform annual maintenance on my A/C, Over the phone, I agreed to a service plan for both spring (A/C) and fall (Heater). Fortunately, I didn't give them any credit card info. They were supposed to be here between 9 and 11. At 11, I called to make sure I was on the schedule. They said I definitely was, the first stop was taking longer than expected. At 12:30, I called to cancel the appointment. They asked if I wanted to reschedule for next week, and I declined. At the least, they should have called me (instead of me having to call them twice) to let me know of the extensive delay, and offered options. If they had, I probably would have rescheduled. As it is, I can't do business with someone who doesn't have any respect for my time.

Description of Work: I used All Geier Air to check a thermostat to see if it was working okay.
