I had a good experience working with Allgeier Air.

We bought an older home 2 years ago, and after a year of being unable to heat and cool the house effectively, we called in several HVAC companies to see if we could figure out what was going on. What Allgeier discovered was that a major part of the crawlspace ductwork had come apart, and parts of it were sized wrong to begin with. They had some challenges to work with though...the crawlspace is very shallow (more like "slither space"!) and there is a concrete wall separating one part of the house under there that the ductwork had to go through. Outside access was very tight as well. Rick Allgeier came out and evaluated the situation thoroughly, and then went back to their office to research some possible solutions. It took a couple of weeks, but he called us back and came out to tell us what he thought would work. In the meantime, he also discovered the the furnace flu was vented improperly (something neither our home inspector nor 2 other HVAC companies had noticed) and it could have been a very dangerous situation with carbon monoxide leakage. We scheduled his team to come out and do the work the following week, he told us it might take up to two days. His team showed up right on time Monday morning and got straight to work, one man on the flu vent and two or three on the ductwork. Rick Allgeier showed up at one point during the day to check on us and to try to create a larger access space on the outside (they ended up cutting through mortar to remove a large stone "brick" next to the outside access point to make it easier from someone to get through it, and then replaced and re"mortared" it). His team was able to replace and repair all the underground ductwork, and repair the flu vent, by 4pm that day. They even fixed up a door for our furnace filter that was somehow missing when we moved in. The workers were very professional the entire time. They laid tarps on our hardwood flooring, all the way from the door to the indoor access hatch. They cleaned up after themselves thoroughly...and considering the amount of dirt in that crawlspace, that is not insignificant! They let us know when they were leaving for lunch and when they'd be back. Just overall...professional!

The installation took a while because it was during the ice storm. However, they kept me informed as to what was happening and when I could expect them. The installation took a day and a half. I am extremely happy with the system they installed. My bills have come down every month since the installation.

I would say it went fairly well. It took alot longer than originally thought. The company kept running into wiring problems, and had to run new wiring and so I blame it on the house and not them. The reason I gave it a B overall, is the quality of the device isn't as powerful as I would like it. The AC doesn't as efficiently as if it would if it was a larger device. The price was extremely good and I got what I paid for with the cheaper device.
