Fine. Upon inspection, it turned out that chimney chase was very rusty. Levi gave me a quote on repair, which I forwarded to my HOA president. They won't be doing the work until the water starts leaking in, because all the chimneys in the development are in the same condition. But I digress; this is my own problem. The inspection was thorough. Thank you.

they reported that they did the best they could and they needed to do a chemical clean which was $1,200, and that there had probably been a chimney fire and they would write the report for insurance claim because if so, there would be $4-5k worth of damage. Scared me to death. I got a second opinion, and no such fire. If I had paid the $1200 i would still be left with a non-functioning chimney. Really felt it was a scam and I will get a 3rd opinion before just dropping that kind of money on something that still wouldn't work until I invested another $3k to actually address the issues of the fireplace.

Said he would not light pilot because I did not have the gas fireplace manual. How many people has a fireplace manual for a home 7 years old? He missed the fireplace business as well as cleaning the dryer vent. Called his competition and they came right out and let the pilot and checked it out for safety . He missed out on over $200+ business. Don't really think he knew how to light it

Got a refund because they would not call to schedule.

I was able to get a last minute appointment due to a cancellation. Dewayne arrived on time and described what he would be doing and then went to work. He was very tolerant of my 5 year old granddaughter's constant steam of chatter! As he worked he explained what he was doing and why. I pointed out some cracks in the firebox and he investigated and gave me an estimate on future repairs. I am very impressed with the service and will use them again.

Came out and gave a detailed inspection of chimney. Was very happy with the inspection and provided a number of pictures. Gave multiple options to repair all issues with all three fireplaces that went out of same chimney. Will probably have to want to effect repairs due to cost but will have to fix in order to get fireplaces up and operational again

In addition to the professionalism and promptness and courtesy, he (Levi) gave a thorough explanation for all services performed and needed in the future. Running a camera through our chimney, he was able to show us the damage from the weather and from an old chimney fire. Also explained the need to improve our water heater venting and was able to demonstrate what the current problem was and how it was to be fixed and why it needed to be fixed.

He was very prompt, efficient and polite. He explained to me what he was looking for and what he was doing. He answered all my questions in a way that anyone could understand.

Inspection and cleaning process was as expected. Recommended replacement of rusted, galvanized chase cover with a stainless steel chase cover and additional storm collar. (There was no attempt to up-sell me or pressure me on this topic...I already knew that it needed to be replaced.) DeWayne (technician) was outstanding in every manner...professional in appearance, mannerisms, and performance. He interacted extremely well with our two young boys and my wife, and he took time to show me key aspects of his inspection both during the inspection and afterwards with photos. This is clearly a man who takes pride in his work. Due to my outstanding experience with him and the good interactions I've had with the office so far, I went ahead and requested that the additional work be performed (without even getting a 2nd quote) once the new chase cover comes in. I would highly recommend DeWayne, and assuming the rest of the All American Chimney Service technicians are anywhere near the quality of DeWayne, it is easy to recommend All American Chimney Service.

They were very pleasant and seemed to be knowledgeable when they came out to look at our 4 chimneys. When we got our proposals, they were way out of line! The prices were extremely high and did not fit the condition of each chimney.

The people they sent were nice, and prompt, partly because I was doing this in the summer when I knew it'd be slower, but I kept feeling like they were trying to pull a fast on on me, and charge me for services I didn't need. The previous owners had a fireplace insert, and used it to heat their house, so there was a lot of wear on the chimney. We got rid of the insert, and they removed the old liner, which had damaged some of the ceramic heat tiles in the chimney. Then they used used rotary tools to clean most of the creosote, which all went well enough. My problem was that they kept trying to sell me on either: a) rebuilding the flue and installing a new fireplace liner- $3,600 b) putting in a NEW fireplace insert and liner - $4,400 c) rebuilding the flue and doing a poured fireplace liner with refractive concrete - $5,200 My problem was that I kept telling the repairman that I didn't need any of these - I will likely use the fireplace 3-4 times per year, with gas logs around christmas, etc. I ended up speaking to a contractor I know, and he told me that the guy was just fishing for more business. He said there was no reason, with a gas fire, and as little as I was planning to use it, that I needed to do anything other than repair the flue. I put a board in to block the flue for now, and put in a set of fireplace doors from Lowes and, and I'll have someone repair the flue in the next few weeks.

Provider communicated quickly and arrived promptly at the agreed upon appointment time. All positives ended there unfortunately. Once onsite, they wouldn't honor the services purchased without doing expensive repair work. Depending on who you talked with, the story changed on what needed to be done, the only consistent statement was that they wouldn't perform the chimney sweep. Ultimately they couldn't get their story straight on what the actual issue was and essentially issued a refund due to the fine print stating that it wasn't covered as there was an buckstove insert being used. The reality is they were totally fine using scare tactics and referencing industry code, which is relatively new, to backup their claims. When I asked about previous sweeps done by other companies, I got a short answer as to how they were under qualified and couldn't pass the requirements of the chimney code. Again, this was just a simple chimney sweep purchase and they noted heavy cresole buildup (which we knew about) but refused to do the service. You'd think they'd at least make the situation better if they were that concerned. To compound the situation, I wasn't home and the wife was and they used scare tactics about how the cracks in the mortar will lead to a house fire and that there should never be a fire burnt as a result. She relayed the message to me and then I spoke with the person onsite and he couldn't answer the questions and kept referring me to the office/owner. Of course the office/owner couldn't substantiate any claims as they weren't onsite. It was a run around experience with the only goal to approve expensive unnecessary repairs vs. simply doing the job that they were brought out to do. It was so mind boggling that at the end, the person onsite literally pleaded with us not to leave negative feedback. My response to that is you were so concerned and had such morale code that you couldn't in good conscious (their words) do the work hired, then you shouldn't be concerned about a negative review. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone and I wish I had reviewed all the reviews thoroughly before purchasing. If you own an older home, you would be wise not to use this company as your home was most likely built before the industry code standards that this company uses and won't perform services until that standard is achieved. If you're a newer home, I'd be concerned as well as they might "find" some issues that require immediate attention. This is a stay away from company.
