Description of Work: They inspected our chimney inside and out. Very knowledgable and professional. We did not need it swept but the repairs he recommended were very costly and we have chosen to basically close off our chimney and not do the repairs at this time.

Description of Work: Having just purchased the home we elected to have a full inspection performed of the furnace, the fireplace, and the chimneys. The technician was on time, worked quickly and completely thoroughly and took the time needed for me to understand what was being explained. It turned out we needed to have the stovepipe replaced and he arranged for the future service after completing his inspection. He also cleaned the chimney out and based on the creosote he dislodged I feel very much safe lighting fires this winter. The individual/customized service that I received was very much appreciated and indicative of the service and quality that only small businesses can provide.

Description of Work: I purchased a deal for a chimney inspection and cleaning. When trying to schedule for this prepaid service, it took 3 weeks before they were able to come out. While they were thorough and found a defect in the unit, they were unable to come back and repair it for another 2 weeks after inspection. By the time it was over with it took two months to get the fireplace up and running at a time that it was quite crucial. The service itself was ok, but I don't think they were prepared for the volume that they were experiencing at this time

Description of Work: I paid All American Chimney in advance for a special Angie's List deal on chimney cleaning. The technician reported that my chimney was actually very clean and didn't need cleaning, but it needed about $8,000 in structural work. I asked them to clearly distinguish which work was needed to operate the fireplace safely, and which work was needed for longer-term structural integrity, and they would not do this. They offered to apply my cleaning money as a credit toward the $8,000 project, but not to refund any of it for not doing the cleaning work. I won't use them again; I'll use an independent mason who will give me the straight story on required work without upselling.

Description of Work: DeWayne came out for a chimney sweep/inspection and a dryer vent cleaning. He determined that the chimney did not need a sweep as it was completely clean on the inside (we had never used it but home inspector told us 3 years ago that we should get it inspected before using since it was full of creosote). He showed me the photos that were taken to ensure that it was safe for him not to do a sweep. He did the inspection and let me know of a few repairs that should be done to ensure that we don't have damage to the chimney in the future. For the dryer vent cleaning, he did the best job that he was able to since our vent piping had a bunch of 90 turns in it and recommended that we have someone maybe rework the piping (something that they do not do). This was added information that he gave to ensure the safety of our family. I would recommend All American Chimney Service to anyone who was looking for services.

Description of Work: This work was done at my son's new 100-year+-old home in Louisville. Tech checked the chimney but no cleaning was done. It's my understanding the chimney has only been used for venting heating using natural gas. Since my son does not plan to use the chimney, anyway, there really is not need to use this provider in the future.

Description of Work: We hired AAC to clean our chimneys as well as quote and repair a leak. The company is extremely professional and well organized. They do a great job in explaining what areas needed to be repaired on the chimney and what options are available.However, the pricing was extremely high. The quote was over $1,000 to put a sealer on the chimney cap, seal some cracks in the brick, and redo the flashing. I was able to buy the supplies at Lowes and do the job myself for less than $100. They also try to up-sell you on unneeded items. They completed the cleaning and repair estimate in a timely and professional manner, however, I would use another provider in the future.

He pointed out a few minor issues with the fireplace, but it was done in a very low key manner with no pressure to do the repairs. I appreciated the honesty and professionalism that was shown.
