They made a special effort to arrive early when I found out I needed to leave for a last minute appointment

I had something happen today that hasn't happened in quite a long time. I had some of the best customer service I've ever had. Jason and David were performing chimney repairs and here's what I can say: 1. Very professional 2. Prompt 3. Thorough 4. Even though it's a messy job, they kept the work areas clean. 5. Verbal updates were provided throughout the entire job. 6. Both were extremely courteous. 7. Thank you to both of them and Doug for a very professional job. 8. Would definitely use them again. 9. All of the above was greatly appreciated!

I had some issues with getting the report, but they were punctual.

He was courteous and knowledgeable throughout the service call: Chimney sweeping is a messy job, but he put down drop cloths and hung them over the fireplace to keep the job as neat and clean as possible. He showed me the video of the interior of the chimney, and climbed onto the roof to do a visual of the chimney from that angle. He gave us recommendations for possible improvements to consider. All around great job. Highly recommended!

It went very well. The only issue I had was that I felt that a question I asked was not understood. I am going to call the office to discuss to try to get the answer I needed. I really don't see that as a problem, just need to understand something.

Jason called ahead of time and arrived on time. He explained what he was going to do and then did it quickly and efficiently. He showed me the video of the inside of the chimney and explained the problems we had. As I am not familiar with what I was looking at, I must assume he explained it correctly. He found problems throughout the chimney and gave me prices for each issue. Because the cost was high, we will probably just stop having fires. If I do go forward with fixing it, I will check a couple other company's prices, as I would do with any other large home expense. The process was clean and Jason cleaned up the area before he left. I was pleased with the experience.

They found a couple of areas on our roof near the chimney that were not installed properly. They fixed all the issues. After the install we noticed the new chimney cap was crooked. They came back out and found that the frame around the chimney was warped. They adjusted the cap to make it look straight even though the frame was bent. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

We have been living in our home for about 1 & 1/2 years and have never used our fireplace. We were looking to have it inspected to use this fall/winter. When I called, the lovely women gave me the prices for an inspection and cleaning. She spelled out exactly what it would cost depending on what the technician needed to do. Our technician was Jeramie and he inspected our fireplace insert and went on the roof to check out the vent. He showed me pictures of our chimney and gave me an estimate on what we needed to bring it up to code. Jeramie even took the time to speak with my husband, who was unable to attend the inspection, on the phone about the chimney repairs needed. On a side note, we received a call from Jeramie asking if our daughter was missing a Minnie Mouse slipper. We didn't even realize it, but when Jeramie was cleaning up his tarp our daughter's slipper became wrapped up with it. He returned the slipper later that same day which made for a very happy 4 year old. We will be using them again soon for the needed repairs to the chimney.

The technicians were very friendly and showed us the condition of our chimney with a video of the interior. Inspection of the exterior chimney showed wear and tear problems with the exterior brick, crown, and flashing. No flue cap was in place, allowing birds to enter the chimney flues. All recommended repairs were thoroughly explained. Work was delayed by weather and inexperience of one technician sent to the job (our roof is very steep). We appreciated that the company sent a more experienced technician then for safety's sake. The initial inspection was performed by a experienced chimney repair technician and a trainer. Both were personable, professional, and customer oriented. We are satisfied with all work, and clean up by the crew, as well as paperwork was efficient. Would use the company again. An update: A storm blew the protective cage off the chimney top. The company would not stand behind their work, saying the damage was an act of God. They charged us for two new protective cages and installation. Because of this, we have decided not to use the company again.

I was pleased with overall presentation. The owner was thorough and both he and the young man he was training were totally neat and professional.

The person who did the work was very thorough, polite, and well informed and, although I had to leave while he was working, my husband told me that he was very pleased with the work done. The room was left very clean and organized. Mr. H. even answered my questions about an alternative fireplace to the one we have. I will definitely recommend this company to my friends.

He was on-time and thorough. He was also very professional and cleaned up well after himself. He took pictures and gave us a report. He did find a few problems and we will probably be going with them to make the repairs. We just need to check with insurance. It was a very good experience.

Initial proposal was given on 5/4/2013. Owner is very knowledgeable providing good information so we could make the best decision on how to proceed with this chimney repair. This whole experience needs to be prefaced with the fact that our fireplace insert presented extra challenges for this repair and took 4 visits to complete. The first visit the workers were on time and completed the chimney crown repair and necessary tuck pointing. The next visit the workers were late and I called to find out when they would arrive. They completed the cleaning and the flue sleeve installation was attempted and that's when the problems began. The workers, who were very professional and polite, realized another part was going to be needed to complete the attachment to the insert. It took time for the part to come in and we initiated the call to find out how much longer. The third visit we did receive a call letting us know they were running behind. The owner, Doug, came with his helper to complete the attachment of the flue sleeve to the insert. Doug apologized for all the delays and admitted that this repair was difficult and a learning experience for him and his team. The 4th visit, 6/28, was because they forgot to add the 3 vent pipes, something my husband discovered when inspecting the work. Although this repair took a long time and we had to initiate some calls along the way, it is the professionalism and politeness of Doug and his team that will keep me using his business for all my fireplace maintenance in the future. I feel confident in his work and that my fireplace is the safest it's ever been.

I found out that All American Chimney does not actually service Southern Indiana, but they graciously made an exception and fulfilled my Big Deal. The lady that scheduled the appointment was professional and the appointment was made without hassle. The time slot was to be 12 noon. At 1235pm, I called the office to see if I had made an error in scheduling. I didn't receive an answer, but the technician called immediately and apologized for running so late and got to my home at 1pm. He was most apologetic when he arrived, put on his protective shoe ware and started to work. He was extremely polite as he checked the flue. He next went outside and proceeded to check the chimney on the roof and discovered it didn't meet the fire code. He proceeded to call the place that could fix this for me and gave me a quote for the future. He didn't have to do that and I appreciated the fact that he went above and beyond. No mess was incurred during this visit and I would definitely use them again if they would come across the river to service this area.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. Our house is over 113 years old and he gave me different options depending on whether I was going to use it as a wood burning stove, a gas fireplace or if I wasn't going to use it at all. It was the original chimney. He told me how I could do the work myself if we chose to use it as a non working chimney so it wouldn't crumble. It was nice that he gave me those tips. It was great and I liked being able to see inside the chimney. He spent more time than he had to explaining options which I appreciated. He cleaned up after himself. I've never had a chimney so I don't know if the price was good. They were awesome on responsiveness. They came two days later and they were right on time.

The initial visit went pretty well. They came out and did the video inspection, which was great. They took a lot of time to explain everything to us. They did notice that our chimney needed to be replaced. They were going to come out with a couple of different options and I haven't heard back from them for at least a month or maybe two months now.
