+ -1 moren't be dissapointed.The whole process from start to finish was thorough and professional. I highly recommend All American Chimney Service because of their professionalism and knowledge of proper fireplace cleaning and maintenance. Our fireplace was damaged due to a specific incident. Doug took care of everything--from providing the appropriate insurance information to personally inspecting the work after the repairs were completed. The guys who came to perform the service were professional and considerate--keeping us informed the whole time. They absolutely know what they're doing and are courteous and professional--don't hesitate to use them--you won't be disappointed!

+ -1 moreI wasn’t thrilled but they were all right. I might have been misled or misinformed or something. I thought they were going to use a fiber optic thing to look at the chimney and everything and let us see if there are any problems but they didn’t. We had somebody come out later to give us an estimate on maybe looking or replacing the line and everything and he said they look really clean. So I guess he cleaned it okay. They came on time and they were clean. He was okay. He was knowledgeable enough I guess. We got conflicting opinions from what he said and what somebody else said. When he said we needed some work done to our chimney, he said they didn’t provide that kind of service. That was a little disappointing because whoever came out couldn’t provide whatever we needed to correct whatever deficiencies he found.

+ 0 morethe inspection revealed cracks, a cap needed on one chimney, tuck pointing, and appropriate closing off and cosmetic work on an old coal-burning fireplace. Inspection also showed problems with hot water venting. All of the above was addressed efficiently and with an eye toward minimizing the cost, including Jason bringing in old bricks he had on hand to replace cracked bricks. He and his helper were personable and respectful.

+ -1 moreThis worked out well. It took about a month to get the appointment scheduled. I found the technician was very, very good. I will use them every year. With the inspection, he did a visual check and recommended a spray for the chimney and said the chimney was in good shape. He was just very thorough with his work. He also kept everything neat and clean around the area.

The negative reviews I read were that they did not pass the chimney, but then the person got a second opinion who passed it (who may have been less particular). I went in knowing they would find all the flaws in the chimney's. I figured they would not pass any of my chimneys, but after their inspection they passed all of them. They did the video inspection with me present so I could see what it looks like, pointing out anything they were concerned about and let me know the risks of them. They did their job quickly and efficiently and cleaned up after themselves.

+ -1 morefantastic! no problems, work done quickly and efficiently. very thankful for the dryer vent cleaning, because it ended up having alot of build-up. specifically want to mention Jeramie Hoehn, my service provider. Very professional, as well as an all around nice guy!

+ -1 moreHe came in and he was very friendly and prompt. He let me see the inside of the chimney and showed the spots that had to be repaired or replaced. They were good, friendly and pretty thorough.

One I left a message, the second company I was told someone would call me back, and the third company, All American Chimney Service, set up an appointment; and I was told he would arrive by noon on the scheduled day. The day of the appointment, the service man called, identified who he was, and said he would arrive in 45 min. He arrived on time; and when he entered my house, he laid down a painter's cloth to walk on and put covers on his shoes. He arrived in a very cheerful mood and worked about one hour. He did an outstanding job, and it was worth more then he charged me.
Description of Work: I have a gas logs that exhaust to the outside. He did the following and much more. Inspect ,thermopile valve to see that it was generating sufficient millivoltage, gas valve, vent, pilot generator, wall switch ,burner and igniter he cleaned, checked the automatic valve, checked pilot flame. We went outside and check the vent and the pull of the exhaust from the fireplace. He did a full visual inspection of the unit as a whole. He touched up the firebox with black high temperature paint.

+ -1 moreIt was good. So far, everything is good. There is nothing negative and they do not mess up the fireplace. They just did the chimney. They came out just after I made the purchase. They did not touch the fireplace at all. They were on time. I would use them again as long as it is a deal. I would probably use someone that does both the chimney and the fireplace.

+ -1 moreIt did not turn out good. He inspected the chimney and then left. He left his clipboard and he did not come back for two days. I was told that he was going to do an inspection and clean the chimney. He did not do that, he just got his clipboard and left. It was a bad experience. She called shortly after the purchase to schedule and she said that they were a few weeks out. They never finished it. If they had done the job the price would have been fine, but they did not do the job.
Description of Work: All American Chimney Service was supposed to inspect and clean my chimney. He did the inspection, but did not clean it and it still is not done.

He was very thorough and knowledgeable about the chimney and said the chimney needed repairs. He was supposed to get back to us via email with an estimate for the additional services. He acted like he would send it right away, but it may just be confusion between my brother and the guy who came out. We need to follow up with the company.

+ -1 moreWe scheduled a second opinion from Eastwood Stove and Outdoor Shoppewhich was completed on 1/6/2014. They were unable to find anything deficient with the fireplace chimney. Stated on invoice "NO PROBLEMS." My husband then requested they take a careful look given the previous report; again no deficiencies were found inside or outside. I'm happy to report I have firewood on the way!
Description of Work: 1) I paid in full 10/28/13 and did not get service until 12/3/13. |2) He was clean and professional in his demeanor, seemed to have the correct equipment which included pictures and videos of the chimney which I reviewed when I got into the chimney myself. |3) Cleaned the walls of the chimney with a brush and when he scooped up the remains it only amoounted to less tha 1/4 inch of black particulate. |4) He then took pictures and videos and began the SALES PITCH for an insert. 4200.00. ( I would never put an insert in my Living room) |He actually went out to the truck and brought in a brochure. Then said without the insert it would cost me 3800.00 for repairs. |5) I then asked for copies of pictures and videos and he said "we don't do that." |6) He said he could not recommend I use the fireplace without the repairs and /or insert. Wrote a report to say the same. And said insurance companies have been known to contact his company in the event of chimney fires. I have lived in this house for almost 10 years and used this fireplace without any problems with fires almost daily in the cool to cold weather. |7) My husband noticed he left the screen off the chimney and requested he replace it. The technician denied he let the screen off until my husband handed it to him. He then began looking at photos on his phone and when my husband asked if he could see them the technician turned his back and refused. | |So, to be responsible I have not used my fireplace and have another well known company coming for 2nd opinion. | |In closing, I am sure this was an attempt to simply sell me an insert or repair i did not need. Remember, I did see the pictures and video and did not concur with his findings. Would not recommend this company.
