Alex Lea Company

I've used Alex for a number of jobs over the years from roof replacement, door installation, replacing my basement stairs to bathroom renovation. His crews are always the best for the job. They are invariably polite and do excellent work. In this case flooring, wall coverings, plumbing updates and adding tile to the area around the tub were all performed on a small bathroom. Alex answered any questions in advance or as the job progressed. He also asked questions that helped us determine exactly what we wanted and what was possible in the space we had. When we were unsure of something he was able to not just layout the options but explain the differences with pros and cons of each option. He made recommendations where to go to select new plumbing fixtures, vanity, toilet. flooring and wall covering. We brought the small stuff home but he handled pickup of the larger items as needed and brought them to the house for the guys working on the floor, tiling, etc. His guys were great. They did not mind me looking on and asking questions now and then. Everyone we encountered was friendly, very competent and did everything possible to avoid making a mess outside the workspace. Alex always brought the crew in, made sure they had no questions and understood what was required. He stayed for the first hour or so, longer if he did not have a crew at another work site. He usually came back near the end of each day before the crew left. He made sure everything was progressing as expected, making sure we were also happy with the work in process. In the end the bathroom is beautiful. We were very happy with the results.

Excellent and excellent cleanup

Alex is responsive, fast, and overall helpful. He is an expert in his field, and we always knew that his communication and work would be high quality, reliable and full of care. We continued to work with Alex on nearly all the projects for our home because of these qualities. He was also very patient with us as we waited for insurance checks, and when we ran out of money and started to do much of the work ourselves, he offered us ladders and some tips for completing our window framing and painting work. We really could not say enough to emphasize his flexibility, professionalism, and honest connection he makes to his clients. We have loved working with Alex Lea.

I felt comfortable sending him to my mom's house to do the work. She was comfortable with him there. She fixed him coffee. He's very personable. The quality of work was good. It was worth to me to tell him what to do, tell him where it was, and know that he would go do it. The job was done and when it was done, he'd come by my office, bring me an invoice, and we'd discuss it. It was an easy way for me to get work done. I recommend him.
