Albrecht Painting

Description of Work: Bought a groupon from this company.It said painting for one room up to 12x12x10 ( a 600.00 value) including 2 coats of paint and baseboard trim painting. When Lynn came out to do an estimate she complained that all the details were not described on the groupon. Not only was she unable to do the work as the coupon described but she told me I had to purchase my own paint and would charge extra to repair surfaces. She would pay for the ceiling paint. I was not picky about which room she painted by the end of the estimate because there was extra cost in each one according to her. I had her write up a proposal for the easiest room and agreed to the terms. Havent heard from them since.

Description of Work: Windows - Scrape, sand, glaze on 8 windows eastside of home mostly, caulk and paint with Porter Permanizer. Wood siding -Scrape, sand, wood fill knots to try and hide, caulk where necessary, prime raw wood and paint with Porter Permanizer. Fascia and painted gutter - Scrape, sand, and paint with Porter Permanizer Brick Foundation and front accent area - Scrape, sand, and paint with Porter Permanizer Vinyl siding, soffit, gutter and down spouts - Light wash down, apply chemicals to kill and remove algae, scrub and high pressure wash. All active algae will be removed, some slight staining may still be present. Decks - Pressure rinse, sand, nail in nail pops, then apply Acri-Shield deck stain solid (color match) to side deck. On back deck- Pressure rinse deck and benches and apply natural stain Porch floor steps and ceiling - Scrape, sand, apply concrete caulk and wood fill areas that are necessary and paint with paint

Description of Work: I hired Albrecht to paint the exterior of my mom's garage in the fall. They did an outstanding job. They removed the old junk that had been hanging there (broken rain gauge, themometer) and painted the wood siding and trim. Outstanding painters, clean and professional job. I knew I would hire them again to paint the interior of her house when she was ready. Fast forward, June 2011. Lynn met me at the house to scope the job and provide an estimate. The interior had not been painted in 30 years and was badly tobacco stained. She recommended a shellac primer and two coats of paint. She was patient with my elderly mother and did not push her to hurry up and pick colors.

Description of Work: Wallpaper removal- entryway, bathroom, dining room Wallpaper removal and wall repair- kitchen (which had been painted over) Interior painting- entryway and hallway, living and dining room, kitchen, bathroom

Description of Work: This instance is the second time we have used Albrecht. They did our exterior painting previously and did an excellent job! They did all the wood trim and the front door. This time around they painted our dining room, master bedroom, child's bedroom, upstairs and downstairs hall, downstairs half bath and the lower half of the kitchen area. They completed the job in two days.
