Absolute Services

I worked for Absolute Services from June 2022 until today, April 12th of 2023. What I can tell you is that they are an Absolute piece of s*** company. They are racist, their benefits for their employees are an Absolute joke, the environment inside the office is Absolutely toxic, and the communication is Absolutely absent. Working here is h***, and I can tell you that we aren't that great in the field, either. We have to perform several callbacks to get the job right when really it should be performed right the first time. We are sketchy- there's actually a $75 dispatch fee applied to all the garage door jobs, but all the CSR's in the office will tell you it's a "Free estimate!" because we have to. We're expensive and the service techs lie to you just to get in your wallet. They'll tell you in the hiring interview that it's a piece of cake to move up in the company, that they even want you to but after a year of employment you'll be stagnant, still sitting in the same place while people who got hired after you are the ones to move up. The CSR manager, Austin, thinks she's a total princess just because she's the owner's daughter- she leaves as she pleases, will be late because she had a hair appointment, and she gets the longest maternity leave just because she's family. The WHOLE Absolute employee base is family but they'll tell you that they can't hire YOUR family because they don't want drama. Nepotism at it's finest. They have fired people for no reason and fired people simply for having an opinion. Why I quit? A customer used the N word on the phone with me to describe a job a different company did. I took offense as I'm a black woman and it escalated fairly quickly. But the company didn't back me up. Didn't defend me. We STILL went out to this racist's home and serviced him. Just to get money-- forget about the feelings of your employee. I refuse to work for a company that isn't going to defend me to that word. Which is silly of me to expect since only 2 of us in that office were black. They probably think it's something humorous, and they probably use that word at home and off the clock. Just because we're the minority (in that office) doesn't mean it's not important. So, I quit. With no job planned out, with nothing in my savings. I did the right thing, but it never should have happened. So think twice before scheduling an appointment with Absolute Services. Because they're hiding a lot behind the slogan.
