Absolute Overhead Door Service LLC

I had just about given up on this 60 year old door. It was coming off the track; the closer was disconnected; and I was opening it manually with great difficulty. I bought the Angie's List deal for a tune-up and roller replacement, figuring that I should give it a try and expecting them to find it beyond repair. But their friendly technician came out on time, got things back in line, replacer the rollers, and even repaired the hanger strap on the closer. To my great surprised, the door closed smoothly, the closer "purred" and the safety stop worked perfectly. Best $100 ever spent.

The cost was similar or better than other companies. The tech was pleasant, professional and friendly as was the phone personnel. The door is installed and works great. This is not the first time we've used this company. It was years ago when we used them the last time. The work then was done very well and the tech educated us about what he was doing and why.

It turned out well. There was a mix up with the keypad. I did want it. There was an issue with the keypad and the type of system that I have. So, what they did was, instead of getting the keypad replaced, they put new rollers on and just kind of checked it out. I didn't get the keypad because there was some issue. They provide universal keypads. I talked to the manager. I was sort of upset. Originally, when the guy came out, he didn't think it was the keypad. He was thinking it was just replacing all the rollers and lubrication. I told him, "No" and then he left and I talked to the manager. He explained the fact that they used an universal one and that it was not compatible or something. I accepted it. It wasn't so bad. I was looking for a keypad, but no worries. It wasn't their fault because they didn't know the door that I had. I thought that they would come out and look at my system and go and find one. It didn't work that way. I would have been upset if he had not been able to explain it to me. But after the explanation, I understood. There were no additional charges beyond the big deal price. This was the first time that I used them. The guys were very helpful. I asked about when I was going to get the new rollers. They've got different grades of rollers for the garage door. They were telling me that what they've put in are top-of-line type rollers. So I felt pretty good that they were giving me quality rollers. They did the work pretty quick. They tested and adjusted whatever needed to be adjusted. So, I was very pleased.

They were good. It took them about two minutes to get the work done. I thought the price was high for what they did. They were very serviceable and presentable. They were here on time. There were no additional charges for the service. I thought they were going to replace all the rollers, but they only replaced one. The service was good. They were very professional and did their job. I just thought they were going to do more than what they did for the price. I would ask them first on how much everything would cost before I would use them again.

Excellent service, fixed an older garage door and set my garage door opener in my car for me.

Everything went fine. They techs arrived right on time and worked quickly. They were able to get me scheduled right away, faster than I thought, which was nice.

They were okay. We had them out twice. They thought they fixed the problem but the guy told us we probably need a whole new garage opener and then when we set that apartment out, it came out that he fixed a loose wire in the breaker on the bottom side of the garage door and said it's all we needed. I had a coupon that he never did acknowledge.

All the details is simply that Vince did a great job! We had picked Absolute from a list on Angies List 2 years ago when we needed a garage door tune-up. Absolute also had a coupon we could use. Vince, again, did a superb job. We are overjoyed with Angies List and the service you provide.

It went very well! I really needed to have someone come out the day I called, because, with the way the door was acting, I was afraid it was going to stop working all together. They were able to accommodate this request. The tech called me a few minutes before arriving. When he arrived, he found the problem right away and fixed it. He also checked everything else to make sure there were no other issues. He had it fixed in just a few minutes, and had me come out and open and close it to ensure i didn't see any other problems. The price for the service was also very reasonable, and I really appreciate that they were able to get someone to come out and fix the door the same day that I called.

Great-! I called the day before when a spring broke and they came next day. I also used the 10% off coupon on Angies List.

Automatic Garage door installed in February. In March, bolts started falling off the door connecting it to opener. Mail bolt in track in bracket came out and track fell down. Put bolts in the door and called for Absolute to fix the door. They responded, but said nothing was wrong on that visit. Didn't do anything. On April 19, other bolts were loose, door kept hanging up when opening/closing, hinge bent. When Absolute originally installed new door opener, they used original tracks and brackets and only moved one bracket and left one in original position, thus causing the hinges to bend and hang in the track. Contacted Absolute and they sent someone within 2 hours. However, service man (I use the term loosely) arrived, he was very unprofessional and argumentative when he was shown the problems. He only tightened some bolts, called it fixed and left. Garage door hinge was still bent and door continued to hang up when opening/closing, some bolts still missing. Contacted owner of Absolute shortly after and said he would come out on Monday 4/21. He came on Monday, spent over an hour fixing tracks, relocating brackets, etc... He did admit that bolts were not tightened when originally installed and other bolts were left out. However, no apology for service received on Saturday or prior lack of fixing the problems. I would never recommend Absolute overhead to anyone.

I called to schedule and appointment first thing in the morning and they sent somebody out at 1 pm. The gentleman explained exactly what he needed to do and he got everything finished in about an hour. I also used a 10 percent off coupon from Angie's list. He was courteous and professional and they did exactly what they were paid to do. Great experience.

It was good service. It was a fair price and they did a great job. They didn't drag it out or all of a sudden do anything. They were very professional.

They were good. They came within one or two weeks after I purchased the "Big Deal".

The door broke on a Saturday afternoon so I called them around 4:30PM. He sent the tech on a Sunday with no additional cost for weekend. The tech was early but called and asked if he could come early. I was overjoyed by this as our cars were trapped. He was here about 45 minutes, reset the door, retensioned the springs, lubricated and adjusted everything. This is a very good company that does not want their customers buying unecessary parts or services. I will be calling them in the future.

When I called, he was upfront with the fact that he would not replace just one spring, although only one was broken. Everyone else suggested I replace both because both have been used the same # of times, but didn't require it. If you don't get them done at the same time, it almost doubles your expenses. I appreciate someone who doesn't want to just do the minimum, knowing he'll get paid more in the end with two jobs; instead he said this is the right way to do it. He was able to get to me quickly and provided friendly service.

It worked well. They charged additional but we agreed upon it. They did what they said they would do.

Overall, I was satisfied with both the service performed and the price...this company was the cheapest of several we considered, and Angie's List customers get a 10% discount. The installer had a few challenges to deal with with our garage...it's an older structure, and definitely not square. Removing an existing door, installing a new door, and removing and re-installing another door took him about 8 hours, and he worked past sunset until about 7pm. The doors work, and while I wish there weren't gaps in some places, it's not his fault the doors weren't square. I've since bought PVC weatherstripping to fill in the gaps myself. Two issues with the service, though. First, the company told me that the installer would be there at 10am, and I planned my morning and work schedule around being home and available at that time. That morning, I got a call saying it would be closer to 11. It was actually 11:15, which put me in a difficult situation with some appointments I had already scheduled. Second, the installer removed the existing old garage door, and put it in the yard while he worked. The door had windows, and all of them shattered. I've been picking glass shards out of my yard for days, and I was disappointed by this unprofessional behavior.
